Should just enforce League penalties for spammers (aka money/TPE lost or player suspensions) In major sports (NHL included) players get suspended by teams/league for off ice shenanigans. The real problem is there are people who spam this making the lottery a problem (aka #FIXTHELOTTERY). Now you don’t have to go approve all posts... just watch for anyone obviously spamming. Much easier to enforce.

Imagine the excitement and pure joy of being selected to represent your country on the greatest stage of your sport. Imagine the heartbreak when your country stabs you in the back by reneging on their commitment to you just because some other jokes decided they were from a different country after all... as if their parents had screwed up their birth certificates or something. That’s where Trevor Van Lagen stands after being one of two cuts to the team Canada roster after the team had made its selection. Blame the GM? No. Blame the game? Yeah. Not only was it allowed for everyone to switch their country but it was encouraged and promoted. Do we want all equal teams or do we want to simulate a real world hockey tournament? What would I have done if I was GM of a country and others were trying to get in to steal roster spots from my fellow countrymen? “I would build a wall—and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me—and I build them very inexpensively. I would build a great, great wall on all our borders and I would make all the other wanna be hockey countries pay for that wall. Mark my words.” End rant.

Review: Great backstory for this bio! Definitely get a good feel for his life growing up and how he transitioned into hockey and eventually the VHL. A few sentences should have had periods where there were commas as they were multiple sentences merged into one but the bio has good flow to it so still an easy read. Good job!

Review: Overall, a very solid bio! The backstory develops quite nicely and the pictures bring the story more to life. Sentence structure and some grammar errors could be cleaned up but other than that it was an enjoyable read! Good luck out there!

1. There seems to be an obvious dislike for Mexico but that may be true game wide. No real rivals yet I’d say. 2. I would say Axelson will lead our team by the end of the year. 3. Top 3 in scoring on the team. Point per game rookie season. 4. Chemistry is alright. Been a bit of line juggling trying to get it better. 5. Mostly my scoring. 6. Favourite part is how much there is to do throughout each week. Keeps everyone involved.

@Steve can you confirm here? ??

1. How do you feel you've played being we're 1/7th through the season? Fairly inconsistent but have had a few stellar games. Overall stat line is definitely good for my first week. 2. Do you think the veterans have an upper hand so far in the season? In the early part of the season yes, but by the time the playoffs come it’ll be a new season on equal playing field 3. If you can predict right now, what kind of impact will you have on the team? (most goals, assists, etc?) Top 3 in goals; someone the team can count on all season to pitch in offensively. 4. Of anyone on the team (besides yourself) who do you think contributes to your success on the ice (your on ice partner)? Probably my 5v5 partners since my power play stats are underwhelming. 5. If you could have one player come to the Halifax right now, from any team, who would it be and why? Probably a defenseman but really our team will be fine just as is. 6. Do you think that Halifax is a contender for the cup? What would you change? Maybe a dark horse contender currently but definitely have a shot at it.

Thorvald Gunnarsson's biography [2/2]

Review: Overall an informative, nicely developed backstory. I enjoyed the twists in his personal development like when his father was sick and he stepped away from hockey. There are a few instances where there seemed some repeating between the different sections that may be unnecessary. Besides that, we’ll written and well done. Also, good choice he made in moving to Halifax ? -

Trevor Van Lagen’s first week of his rookie VHLM hockey season is in the books. It was a wild first week for both Van Lagen and his Halifax teammates. Off to a 6-3-1 start, Halifax looks like a dark horse contender early in the season. A dynamic offence let down by some shoddy team defence, Halifax is looking to clean up some areas of their game as they push the upper echelon of teams. Van Lagen did his part to contribute to the inconsistency of his team. His overall line of 4 goals, 5 assists, 9 points, and -5 plus/minus rating in 10 games is a solid production line for a rookie, however, when you split his stats it becomes a tale to two stories. He broke out of the gates with a stat line of 3-3-6-(+3). His next seven games were a paltry 1-2-3-(-8). He’s had both a three game goal streak and a four game goalless streak. Take out his worst two games (0-0-0-(-9)) and you’re left with a stat line of 4-5-9-(+4) in 8 games. So while he has some areas to clean up in his game, and some awful games have clouded his overall stat line, Van Lagen has put together a solid start to his rookie season.
