  3. Returning to our story of young Miroslav! To recap he was born to two hulking parents, a Mongolian basketball player, and a Japanese Sumo wrestler. Born in northern Ukraine, Miroslav was effected by the Chernobyl disaster and bulked up quite a bit to it, as well as seemingly slow his aging. https://vhlforum.com/topic/102640-who-is-miroslav-tsarov/?tab=comments#comment-843656 At the age of 13, Miroslav was forced to quit his promising basketball career. Hit weight was simply becoming too heavy to support the jumping in the sport and his knees were giving way. After several torn meniscus’s, and an ACL repair surgery, young Tsarov was forced to face an unpleasant fate. Searching for a replacement sport went through a few iterations before landing surprisingly on hockey. His 300 lb + frame was able to not be beat up too much on the ice, and his size made him very difficult to separate from the puck. Beginning at just 14 years of age, Miroslav took quickly to the new sport, imposing his dominating frame over others his age, he had a full 12 inches on the next closest player in his youth league (who was 3 years older) and at least 100 pounds. He was a beast. So much so that the league being a little disgruntled came to an agreement with the junior league to pull him up early. At 15 he laced up the skates for Kyiv where he would put out one of the best rookie campaigns ever, despite his young age. TBC
  4. Hailing from a small town in northern Ukraine called Ivankiv, Miroslav has been playing amatuer professional hockey in Mingsk Belarus for the past 20 years. Growing up, Miroslav was always the tallest person in his age group. His height can be attributed to his mother, who stands at 6'3" and was a professional basketball player in Mongolia where she met his father, a 6'5" sumo wrestler who was in the pro circuit at the time of their meeting. Leaving his life of sumo, and her life of basketball, the parents moved to the remote town of Ivankiv to raise a family. Unfortunately when Miroslav was 12 years old, the infamous Chernobyl disaster occurred, close enough to have a lasting impact on young Tsarov. His height began expanding rapidly, and he put on a ton of muscle, and oddly enough he seemed to age at a slower rate. As a 12 year best people, this meant he had a very youthful appearance well into his late 20's, despite his hulking form. Due to his unckecked height for his age, and his mothers talent, young Miroslav dominated at basketball until his weight simply became too much strain on his joints to jump with. Searching for a sport that was less impactful on his joints is what lead the Tsarov's to enroll in skating lessons, and the rest is soon to be told history! Tune in next week for our next segment
  5. Joakim Bruden earlier this week sent out a surprising statement to team and local media. Declining to appear for an interview, media agencies were handed a simple memo that read: I, Joakim Bruden would like to publicly announce my retirement from the VHL. Although I feel like I may be leaving some gas in the tank I want to be able to retire on my terms when I am ready, not when I am forced out. I would like to thank HC Davos for drafting me many seasons ago, and giving me a home to play for. I would like to give a special thank you to New York, who extended a hand to me last offseason when I found myself looking for a new home. Bruden played for one minor league team, the Ottawa Lynx where he played part of 3 seasons in a dominating fashion before spending most of his professional career with Davos where he posted middling numbers and never really found the switch to accelerate his career to the next stage.

  13. Hey folks, I’m not too much into activity around these parts, but figured I’d put a notice out and let any teams who could be looking into a backup next season, as I’m a free agent looking for a new home. I don’t really have any expectations of a new team, just looking for a new spot where I can sit on the bench and open the door while wearing a very fashionable ball cap. Getting down to the bottom of things, I am about 50 tpe shy of 700, a goal that I do want to achieve on this character for future welfare implications and I have 1 or two seasons left. I’m happy to retire after hitting that mark, or if a team wants I can hang around for an additional season if there is a need. If anyone might be interested or have any questions, please feel free to hit me up either on site, I’ll be checking throughout the weekend, or on discord @Krashwagen#6411 Thanks for the time to read, Joakim

What do you think about these trades? Did I manage to get a decent return on them? honestly it all depends on who we get from the draft. 2. Over the past couple days, we saw Malmo sell off their top players for arguably considerably less than what we got for ours. Did the timing of our selling (making things happen before another team got to it) help our case at all? of course, there was less of a market for them. 3. Speaking of Malmo, their GM (Frostbeard) just announced on Monday that he is planning to step down at the end of the season. What's one member you'd like to see take his spot? Do you think we've learned anything from our start? learned nothing, but have reaffirmed that I am indeed shit. 2.
