Sorry for my absence lately gents. I was shipped out of town for work and the WiFi is somewhere between terrible and non-existent. I'll have to shake up the lines a bit to get some wins going.
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and I finally officially welcome you to the S54 Ottawa Lynx! We are the defending champions, but defending that title will be a great challenge with all the stars we lost and all the talent that was re-distributed.
First of all, I would like to welcome back Luigi de Rossi @KitRas and Journeyman @eaglesfan036 from our previous draft! As you've noticed, de Rossi is amazing, and Journeyman is solid AF. Now onto our pickups in the draft...
G - Clarence Fong - Anderson retired to be on Las Vegas. Fuck that guy. But he's at least a somewhat updated goalie for now.
D - Jon Snow, @ChiefNoka4 - Our first defenceman in the draft, and stud returning member from last season's championship team. He'll be our #1 defenceman for the season, I reckon. What's dead may never die.
C - Corey Klopfenstein, @crutchfield - Crutch isn't new to the Lynx, but this player is! Always a good locker room presence, and hopefully the new guy will excel this season!
D - Michael Kinkaid, @Symmetrik - A quiet man, but I know he comes on now and then, and he could definitely be the steal of the draft if he wanted to be! Wouldn't be so bad for the last pick of the draft.
So that was our draft! Luckily we've had some more additions mid-season via free agency...
D - Kendrick E. Tsbagsuph-Cox, @Tsbagsuph - A clever man, definitely has potential to fill out the blueline!
D - Nicodemus Raven, @Fowll - An awesome returning member, manages to stay active and earn TPE despite not being a native English speaker. Definitely hard work to be admired!
D - Niko Bogdanovic, @Jonessee27 - Because we don't have enough defencemen! Another solid returning member, any TPE earning and activity is wonderful by me! And we'll have one of the league's best defensive cores by playoffs. Also if you want some assistance in how to distribute your TPE, let me know!
D - Darryl Took, @suggestiveavocado - The tastier of the suggestive vegetables, and yet another defender! It's good to have some fresh blood around these parts!
RW - Alexander McManahan, @Wikiplaysgames - Not a defenceman! But another great new member, who I'm sure will have a good time playing on a line with de Rossi!
RW - Alexander McKinler, @Caillean - Interestingly enough, your last player was also on the championship team last season! He was a good utility player, so it's good to have you back!
And that's it! I don't know what to expect this season honestly. We've got a solid team here, though maybe without as much firepower as Las Vegas. However, if everyone steadyily develops, I honestly believe we could stand up to them. I may or may not have to make a few moves, but we won't worry about that until the trade deadline I think.
