God I don't miss that time. So much bickering with the SBA guys while also trying desperately to control our own members who seemed hell bent on actively making things worse. Made us better in the end but was definitely hellish to go through. But yes, was also really running that it happened on Beav's first day and I definitely never let him live that down,

Another week, another 150 words for TPE, let's go! Anyone who hasn't seen Wildcard game 3 between NY and Chicago, or really anyone that looked only at the main link, needs to go in and hit full game to see the true madness of it. Spoiler alert, it was OT6! Aka they played nearly 3 full games in that one game since our OT periods aren't shortened, they are the full 20 minutes. I don't know the record for the longest playoff game, I'm sure @Victor has a spreadsheet for it mind you, but that's gotta be damn close. What an absolutely insane game. DC finished off the season strong so that's nice, was that done last time I wrote one of these? I don't actually remember. Shame we took such a nose dive mid season but hopefully we are heating up when it counts. Plus Calaway managed to finish with 32 goals as a D which is pretty crazy even if I was a few points under where I was last season and probably won't get any award votes. Who knows, maybe a really good playoff run and I can somehow pull my first Kanou...... hahaha yeah right. Toronto is uf first either way, I imagine no one gives us a chance at winning it but who knows. Trivia has still been stupid simple.

I honestly didn't pay that much attention to the NHL this season so it's definitely a guess but I would wager any of the usual suspects lately. Matthews, McDavid, Mackinnon, take your pick really. Painfully enough it's 5:30am. My wife works for a UK company despite us living in Canada which means her work day starts at 7am. So since we need time to get us both ready and get the kids ready for daycare dropoff we need to be up really early. I assume you mean what team? If so that would be the Red Wings. I started watching hockey in the early 2000's so you can imagine the kind of teams I started to see from the wings making them really tempting to follow for me haha. ------------------ 1. I guess I can’t overly complain. Finished 5 points back of my total from last season and had 2 extra goals. Have to wonder what would have happened if we didn’t go on that weird 20ish game streak of being terrible, might have even been able to hit 40 goals honestly.

It was late, I was in a rush, I counted wrong. Also I’m fucking old. Fun fact that you probably already know: that’s a genetic thing. Some people have a gene that makes it taste like soap and others don’t.

Another week of backup simming means another week of needing to do the peasant supplemental tasks so more random word vomit for TPE! It appears the VHLM Schedule was screwed up and became only 70 games per team; so that's fun. We have a plan so everything should be fine soon but yeah, bit of a panic moment to wake up to I gotta say. DC Managed to scrape out a quick 6 game win streak to stabilize a bit but man was that ever a plummet for like 2 weeks. Went from being top in the league by a decent margin to barely in the playoffs with individual performances taking a similar nosedive. Safe to say I don't expect Calaway to end up on the Labatte ballot again this season. Like I didn't expect it coming into the season anwyay but with how things started I did have some hope... until I had to sim and then we took a fast drive off a short cliff. Trivia continues to be easy and I continue to believe people just aren't looking.

I am a simple man: give me pizza and I am happy. Like yes, I enjoy fancier things for sure but also love the simple pleasure of a good pizza slice. Bonus points of it comes with Garlic Fingers which are apparently an Atlantic Canadian thing; other places need garlic fingers. Assuming you mean the VHL it's 110% scoring but if you're talking IRL that's a lot harder as I've never actually played anything but like backyard type shit. Probably speed or puck handling in today's game I would reckon. I honestly don't know. I think in fantasy zone I predicted the rangers but I only paid attention right at the end of the season so I really don't have a good vibe on how the league is laid out currently. Would be great to see a Canadian victory seeing as it's been 20 years I think we have 4 teams in this year? Can't see it happening though. -------------------- 1.
