Yup! I never turn mine on. At first it was because I couldn’t with how I was doing them and now it’s because my kid is falling asleep and I don’t want to risk it even though it would probably be fine. It doesn’t make a difference, I’m not there to entertain. It’s a guy pressing buttons really, there’s not much fun to be had.

Stats > Individual awards > Cups Cups are cool and fun but they are a team thing. An average player can get onto a dynasty team and get a bunch of cups.

It still counts. We changed depreciation, not force retirement. If you spend 4 years in the VHLE you get 5 in the VHL before you’re done.

1. No depreciation level is 8%. 9th season is 7%. 2. Depreciation is going to be officially based off VHL seasons, not seasons since the draft. So if someone spends, for example, 3 seasons post draft in the VHLE they will only get hit with the first stage of depreciation (which is now 6th season) so it’s actually easier on mid-range earners. So the only people who get hit 4 times are the few who play 9 seasons in the VHL. 3 times for the 8 season guys (same as now), 2 for 7 seasons, etc.

Exactly why basically everyone in the BOG is against an uncapping system. It rewards a lack of activity, it straight up encourages it. I don’t think our system is perfect but the catch-up TPE definitely helps balance it and I think it’s overall better for activity.

This isn't that severe into it but that does lead into the SBA / EFL style that basically all the BOG agree is a bad idea: uncapping. The reason we wanted to keep the draft date being set by the creation time and not being a user choice at all is because if the user has a choice they'll always delay as much as possible to earn the max amount of TPE possible. In this case, if I'm reading this correctly, that would mean stopping at 199 to avoid the E draft, spending an extra season in the M (thus clogging up the developmental league), and then declaring straight for the VHL draft. So this would clog the M and skip the VHLE; solving no problems at all AND would result in people waiting around for potentially weeks doing nothing so that they can have an "uncapping" season.

Nice to see those banners actually in the context of an arena. I didn’t really design them thinking they’d ever be used that way but I was curious how it would look.

FWIW it makes absolutely no difference in the sim, forwards aren’t punished playing out of position. I can change it for you though.
