Beaviss isn’t gonna he fired if Quik decides to end his hiatus. The idea is to have 3 of us running things as the league has likely grown too far for 2 people. So yes, it is hoping Quik comes back basically. If he doesn’t it’ll be permanent but we don’t make a habit of firing GM’s for minor stunts of inactivity. Bushito has disappeared for much longer than this before, as have many others. Interim is just a word. Jubo has every authority to act as GM and if Quik’s disappearance extends on too long it’ll be made official. It’s much less about hiring Jubo and much more about firing Quik.

You vastly over-assume how much I understand about anything to do with the portal. I’m good at breaking it but that’s about it. Will can likely answer though.

It’s all about how your player performs really. Most first gens don’t get in purely because they don’t tend to have a good grasp of the attributes enough to get consistently good stats. Regardless of how much someone earns though anyone can make the HoF.

He’s exaggerating a tad but it did depend on the grader and some were incredibly strict.

The fact that I managed to do this without ever winning a Kanou is still ridiculous to me. Take the ranked voting out of S66 (the only time it was used) and I would have had one but I digress. Best non-Kanou winning playoff performer ever perhaps? Anyway, was a hell of a run for us both with quite a lot of back and forth to keep things interesting. I knew long ago that you were going to beat me in points but I was content with having more goals plus the physical play. Didn’t actually even realize I was so far ahead of you in the playoffs. Regardless, a hell of a run for us both. Probably the last of the true superstars in the league, at least for a while. With depth getting more important and the meta basically figured out I doubt many true superstars will continue to emerge. Was a hell of a run. I’ll see you in the HoF buddy.

How to Claim Claim experience in the Player Management area by clicking the 'CLAIM OFF-SEASON TPE' button and selecting Experience from the dropdown. Enter the amount of Experience you are eligible for as described below and link to this thread.  Once approved, the Experience will be added directly to your player's experience attribute. You do not need to apply it yourself. He gets 5 for a full season, 2 for playoffs, and 1 for finals. Just a heads up, I'm running depreciation right now so those of you it affects will be getting notifications shortly. As a note to anyone who bought the Jagr, please give it a bit of time after you get the notification before you go and apply banked TPE. I'll need to manually go through and adjust your chosen Jagr stat so that it isn't affected by Depreciation and if you add points to it before I get around to doing that it'll just be messy. Edit: Depreciation is now complete. If you have any issues let me know ASAP. Please note as well that if you did not get a chance to buy depreciation fighters but meant to we can still manually adjust your TPE after the fact so you have until the end of the off-season to make adjustments.

There’s nothing wrong with that. I think what @Victor means is that, while well-meaning, the post comes off a bit as “league policy” which makes it seem like everything that happened will just be retroactively ignored and that isn’t the case. It was your statement, not the league’s statement.

He was created before the new rules so he still goes to DC. Glade’s new player is the first to fall under the new rules.

Correct. Can’t recall if @Will set it up as draft or first game but it’s one of the two.

In lieu of @Quik’s extended leave of absence, and with off-season stuff needing to be done, the league has decided to appoint @Jubo07 as interim GM of Helsinki. He has been given the VHL GM group on the forum and control of Helsinki on the portal. We will be deciding after the off-season how to handle the situation but for now Jubo has every right Quik had as GM. This includes but is not limited to drafting, trading, and offering free agents.

No, I don’t. I mean it’s hard to police 250+ posts every hour of every day. Our mod staff can’t be on 24/7. Now there are some who have quite frankly not acted according to their rank mind you and there will be consequences.

Nah, no one played AW and even fewer played hardpoint haha. Top 1000 was dead easy.

You guys all wanted discord to have a bigger percentage so it kinda needs the follow the same rules since it’s such a big part of the league. You can’t have it both ways.

I was top 500 in the world in AW’s Hardpoint mode at one point.

That’s actually an interesting idea. One of our issues is just how massively active our discord is so policing it is incredibly difficult. It wouldn’t totally solve the problem to have a “disclaimer” channel but at least anyone going into it would be agreeing to the terms.

Completely agree. I’ve always been against having such strict rules like “these words are fine, these are not” but quite frankly it’s not being a SJW to say that you shouldn’t be using some words. Why call it gay when you could just say “this is bullshit”? Why say retarded when you could just say “well that’s stupid”. There are non-offensive versions out there. As a league I did think we had come further than we have. I don’t think we’re the cesspool that simply searching up terms on discord makes it seem (context sometimes is important) but I don’t think we’ve come as far from 2007 as I would have liked. Do better VHL. And be warned if you choose not to.

If you don’t then the Mercs would definitely make you regret it and Would also get their best player ever haha
