INDEX @VHLE GM You guys know the drill, lines on the portal please. We will start the wildcard round tomorrow so you've got ~24 hours for lines. Same as always as well, live sims can be found at the below link. I cannot promise you a specific time for these and, likewise, I can't promise you they will be very entertaining; in fact I can almost guarantee that they won't be. However in an effort to be more transparent with our simming you will all be able to watch me click buttons in all it's glory. You can USUALLY expect sims around 6:45pm EST but it will vary. You are correct that we have to manually add players to teams but they are created for us now when their update function is run. That on its own is an even crazier godsend, I’m sure you also remember the days of getting 1-2 sim updates per season. As an extra convenience the manual step is also only relevant during the season. For the initial sim it’s mostly automated to just assign the players to the teams they belong. Bots are a bit of a pain but even that doesn’t take long.

Of note the Vikings logo with the boat was always their main logo. The round black and white one was just an alternate. I can also 100% picture the Tijgers logo but have no sweet clue where I would be able to find it. It was an orange tiger facing I think to the left. Similar to the bottom left image here but not the exact same: Edit: I was wrong, it faced right. You can see the tiny emoticon version of it in the S1 draft. Unfortunately Helsinki’s definitely isn’t the original and I don’t think Stockholm is either unless it and Madrid were the same base.

Counter argument to your "kill welfare to help retention" argument: On the one hand your point is valid that having people just click twice and then not need to do anything else means they might not try to do anything else, good for retention right? The problem is that on the other hand how many current long term members depend on that button to stay active? How many of those people just don't have the time to stay and do the full weekly tasks? You kill welfare you lose those older members. So it's not really helping retention in a way, it's just cycling older members out for newer members and even then it's only doing so in theory.

These ones are technically just a primary and an alt but there have been 2 Halifax logos. The original is still visible on the portal because I never got around to changing it in their little banner thing. We paid someone a stupid amount of money to make a horrid logo that I had to spend hours trying to fix anyway. Take a look if you don’t mind your eyes bleeding.

I just don’t see why it wouldn’t be the updaters since it would just be the same thing but at a different time. That’s also why I don’t see a point though. How is that not just theme week but moved and with the same theme every time?

I mean that’s just theme week but literally the same theme every single season isn’t it? Plus putting it in the off season means brand new recreates get even more TOE which we have tried to avoid, that’s why it’s the week before the deadline. As for updaters I’m not sure why that would be an issue that we would need to address?
