  1. Here is my application: Hello, I go by Jakky here in the VHL community and I would like to work as a VHL/M A/GM some day. I have decent experience with STHS as I have gotten most of my GM work through the offseason event of the VHL Pro-Am. To those who are unaware, the Pro-Am uses VHL/M players who through scouting and then a draft are placed into a team and then a season followed by a tournament. I have been a GM for this Pro-Am the past two seasons and used teams in which I have suggested for future VHL/M expansion teams. The Glasgow Guardians and The Chamonix Black Diamonds. Both of my teams have been .500+ teams, ranking 3rd out of 5 teams both seasons. I communicate with the teammates, make notable adjustments to lines and do what I can to bring victory to my team. I'm active on the forums and discord and will reply asap when pinged or DM'd. I should note that I am currently enrolled in college so while I focus on myself and the community, I also have to focus on my studies aswell. Just a heads up before potentially hiring. Below is a graphic I have made involving stats of the teams along with a graphic for some hopefully sweet TPE. Have a great day and I am open for discussion. https://gyazo.com/6372e7b47a6a29cf6e93d74c0a338913 https://gyazo.com/599bf9b1f7c98dd82c919a2890e93f82
  2. 2. Don't expect perfection but don't sell yourself short. Your attributes from the VHLM will look nothing like the big leagues. We all want to have record breaking rookie years but sadly that's a flash in the pan. Aim to be good and aim to be better. 3. I expect my player to be better than he was last season. With King and Thightrap out of the team, I believe I'll play a center role instead of left wing. Faceoff king baby. 4. A successful season is being over .500 and making playoffs. Whether we get the cup or swept in the first round, if we can be a winning team and proud of that, that's what matters. The cup is the goal but we shouldn't say its a fail if it doesn't happen. 6. Our locker room is calm yet fun, we're helpful when we need to and throw light jabs at one another when the opportunity comes. 7. My favorite memory has to be my first hat trick, it was so sudden and unexpected to where I thought it was a joke. When I saw how real it was (Despite losing that game), it made me really happy to see me benefit the team as a rookie. 8. She's no longer on the team but I'll still say this. Venus, thank you for your help on what to focus on and how to become a better player. I hope your advice pays off for my future in the VHL. Advice means a lot to rookies here, especially from a captain on the team.
  3. 1. Truthfully, even though we didn't get the result we wanted I always believe that we did good this season. We had a winning season, we made it to the playoffs, we took down one of our biggest rivals and got revenge against the Dragons, we made it to the final 4. Granted it could have been better but it could have been MUCH worse. 2. I want to get better, that's every offseason. I spend my first few days healing and relaxing and then I get back to work and put in a lot of effort to be in a good condition for the next season so I can do better than my last one. 4. I got two cats at home, precious souls that definitely miss me when I'm gone. 5. I feel like I would be very interested in how I would be as a goalie, a complete change of position so I'm curious how I would be. Someone to rely on or someone that can't stop a beach ball. 6. If I was the GM, I would focus on drafting. I would see how good the draft class is, how deep it is and what we would need to help build a young core of good hidden pieces to take in. I would look for players with good stats, not top of the class exactly. 7. At first I enjoyed seeing the Dragons lose because of the rivalry along with the Bears, now however after this postseason I will be focusing on the Phoenix's demise.

  6. 2. I can admit that my rookie season wasn't the best but I can at least say that it wasn't the worst. I'm grateful to be on a good team with supporting teammates that helped me out and supported me when I did good. I can only go up from here, I did it in Mexico City and I'll happily do it in Vancouver. 4. LETS GO MEXICOOOOOOOO. Win the cup for me boys! Kings all day every day, WOO. 6. My goal this offseason is to put in more work and get better, I want numbers on the stat sheet, I want to help the team and I want to be even better than I was last season. Improvement by numbers. 8. As a rookie coming into the majors and making myself known around the league it's always good to have a veteran presence to help motivate and give tips and tricks on what to do. Both Manzer and Spyro were great and nice people to me and while it's a shame to see them retire, it was a pleasure to get to work with them. 9. Growing up my number one place of vacation and comfort would be Orlando, Florida. Since I'm older and traveling around with the team, simply returning home in New York would be another destination I'd go to in the offseason. 11. My favorite part of the VHL is the history, the statistics and the seriousness of the league. This is everything I've ever wanted in a league, a place with nice people, a rich history to look into and teams to represent that want to win. We all love hockey and we all want to have a great time.
  7. With playoffs approaching, lets crack some numbers and see who has the most and least amount of championships in VHL history! https://gyazo.com/5f4a53ce591495f35fc2ccca0a566b31
  8. 5. Yes, I truly believe we are very prideful with our teams in the VHL. That's one thing about the league I truly enjoy is the fact they take themselves seriously and while having fun they also have a sense of competitiveness. Instead of having silly team names and such we have legit cities and proper team names to follow. 8. Love of the sport. I do it for the love of the sport. A longer sentence but true, I play hockey because I love it. I go to baseball games because I love it. If I'm going to do anything I'm going to do it because I love it. 10. Honestly yes, I usually want to be valuable to the team in anyway possible. Having a single positive number on the score sheet at the end of the game is important to me so when I get all 0's, it can be a bit of a drag. However, the team has been very supportive and says I have been very useful on the team especially for my rookie year. I'm happy and I have more to achieve now. 11. Insanity can bring more creativity as by thinking outside the box can make you think about more ways of creating and doing than you usually would in a normal, stable mindset. 12. You would fail at trying to fail, you didn't fail at what you wanted to but you managed to fail even worse than you expected. 13. The Wolves are certainly good enough, we have the potential to make playoffs and we are strong enough to push to the finals once again. Hopefully the lines are in proper order this time.

  10. 1. Honestly, that sounds very nice! Valentine's Day is a holiday about and for love and you can love your friends even if its not romantic or involving a relationship. I like that idea, a lot. 5. As much as I would love to, knowing the regular season is still in the works with Vancouver in the playoff picture still, it doesn't seem very likely this year. There's always pros and cons with working in the majors but I'm always able to make it up somehow, that's love. Love for the game too 7. I haven't yet but if I had the chance I probably would. Granted if I go to games I do with family or friends so that would be a biiiiit awkward.. 8. It would be a good idea for it to be told to the public before hand in case people are not interested in it, wish to alter it to make it better for people or have a poll like what we do with the championship banners. Getting player and management involvement with fun events like this can get more participation in it. 10. I think one idea I have in mind would be involving the VHL with other sports, I've made a post like that previously but to see how others would take it would be interesting. I'm sure we all enjoy sports other than hockey and to mix the best of both worlds would be fascinating. 12. Not at all. It was a great idea of course, just hard to decide DURING the season in the coldest part of winter. At least I'm getting ideas on how to spend my time once the weather heats up!

  12. 1. Personally I enjoy our away jersey a lot, the gray and black colors match with it very nicely and for some reason I feel like I look better in these jerseys so.. I'll take it! 3. I've always wanted to have a show that simply explains and goes over sports for people to understand it. From history of the leagues, to important people, rivalries, stories and mostly the importance of the game. Rules, penalties, etc. A way for people to understand the game so they can enjoy it. Football, soccer, hockey, baseball, basketball, etc. 8. I have a habit of screaming when I score a goal and especially during a shootout, gotta hype up the team somehow! 9. I'd say the bedroom would be my comfort room. Taking naps, playing games and simply relaxing. It's my number one destination when the offseason begins. 10. I keep small pictures of family and close friends in my locker, always as a reminder to give it my best because they'll hopefully be watching. As a nod for their support getting me to this point in my career, I made it to the major leagues! 12. My Little P- nah I'm just kidding. I'd say Bojack Horseman, good show and definitely entertaining but can get serious at times which can be awkward for some.

  14. 1. Determination and scoring. I mentioned before that I feel like the Wolves are red hot angry this season because we want to win the cup by any means necessary and it shows. We are scoring goals with no mercy. 10-4 sound familiar? We intend on doing even more of that. 2. I'm very guilty of relying heavy on some McDonalds fries if I can be honest. Mexico City got me to enjoy tacos more so if I wanna mix things up and not get eyed down by some teammates for ordering the same thing constantly, I go with that. 3. No mercy. 4. Scoring my first VHL goal was truly something special, to have it against a top team and a rival in Seattle just makes it even more special. Having a few games were I receive a star is certainly a big moment in itself too. 6. At first I thought having Emerson start about a third of games was the best call being that he is a rookie in a much more difficult league. Seeing how good he's performing I think him and Spyro can generally play half and half. We gotta have Spyro go out with a bang while also giving the rookie some time to adapt to the new area. 10. Personally I feel like I could improve a bit more regarding faceoffs, I know I'm playing a winger role currently as the team has plenty of center depth but with the few opportunities I have I need to take advantage of it.
  15. 1. Of course, I remember being drafted myself and what a surprise it was. It's nice to see other people not only experience what I got from being drafted but also seeing the ones that will hopefully be joining me in Vancouver sometime soon. 4. Granted this question is about myself so I won't be too biased but I know Zolnek is one hell of a player, we've crossed paths in the VHLM especially with the finals so it'll be interesting to see two rival team players merge onto Vancouver as teammates. I'm sure we'll get along fine, we both want to make a good impression in the VHL and now is the best time to do it. 5. I truly hope to see Emerson start at least a third of the games this season, I've been lucky enough to work with him in Mexico City and he's truly a great guy with good hopes for this team. I feel like him graduating to the VHL is in perfect timing too as Spyro has one more year in him. The aging veteran and the hungry rookie, how perfect. 6. This group can definitely make the Finals again I believe, the postseason was very unfortunate for us for... a lot of reasons but in the end I always saw it as a way to come back and hit harder. I wanna say the Season 76 Wolves are pissed off and want that cup by any means necessary now. 9. It is a very realistic expectation, we have a team full of people that can get the puck in the net and I'm positive we can continue to break more records. 10. I definitely want to say our new Assistant GM has been a good motivation for this team, having a lot of energy and positivity is what a team needs in the offseason if they don't bring home a cup. Stuff like that is what we need to get on track and get this team where it needs to be.

  18. 1. I definitely want to say it was a surprise for us. Vegas was one of those teams we've had trouble and beef with a while ago and to see them suffer the same fate as Halifax? I love it. I can't complain, it's worth it. 4-1 Aces beat the Kings in Season 74, 4-1 Kings beat the Aces in Season 75. 2. Ride the momentum home, so far the past two games against Philly have been a lot more competitive and close than we expect. We're running off a game winning goal to avoid any potential sweep, let's keep the aggression going. 3. Everyone. That's the joy of sports, whether you're on the bench or the starting lineup, if you're on the postseason roster.. anything can happen. Miracles are the best part of it all, whether it's someone like myself, Foley, Thatcher, Dom, Lose, Hogan, Wu, Emerson.. anyone. It can happen. 4. I'm a bit nervous, last time I was in the postseason, I only made 5 games. Performing is going to be exciting and nerve-racking but completely worth it in the end. 5. Heart and chemistry. In the locker room it sounds like everyone is yelling from the excitement and rush from being this far, we're keeping the superstitions alive, the good energy there and nothing but heart when we go on the ice. We all want to win a cup, that's what we want. Give Mexico City its first championship. 6. No further questions.
  19. 1. OHHHH IM SO GRATEFUL WE WON THAT. I was praying we didn’t pull off a Halifax, to Halifax. 2. Vegas baby. They took us out last postseason and we want revenge for this one, it’ll be worth every second too. 3. San Diego definitely did, if there was going to be an upset win I would assume Miami uses their magic to move on but it wasn’t even close. A complete sweep. We were close to one ourselves but it is what it is. 4. The classics like shaving beards and doing little rituals. Usually for postseason I like wearing the same hat and shoes to the locker room when coming into the arena. If we lose I change it up but if it works it’ll stay. 5. I’m incredibly proud of them, I didn’t get the chance to donate but to see everyone as a community be so serious and caring, it makes me happy and proud to be in this community. 6. VANCOUVER BABY LETS GO BACK TO BACK CHAMPS.
  20. WOOOOOO YEAAAAH BABY THATS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT.. WOOOOOOOOO
  21. 1. It feels amazing honestly knowing that we have officially claimed first in the entire VHLM. I remember when I was deciding on which team to play for that the Kings really interested me because they were in the middle of contenders and really pushed for a playoff spot. I'm grateful to have been brought back onto the team and that I went an entire season with them before shipping to Vancouver. It feels amazing to see the team grow and I'm honored to be a King during my time in the minors. 2. We're praying to not end up like Halifax last season. We run heavy on momentum and we have good hopes that we're gonna do more than we did last playoffs. 3. Besides Ottawa winning games, coming back from my cold streak and taking first place... Honestly it was a joy watching the standings, I'm a stathead and seeing the possibilites of who can go in was interesting cause I'd say Houston had a really good chance of making it, that was surprising. 4. Emerson, Lose, Thatcher, Wu, all of the teammates man we all put in a great work this season and I think they deserve it all. ....myself included. 5. Nope. The Kings logo is unique and I wouldn't have it any other way. If they really want change... maybe add some green? We already got the red and white so.. eh. I like what we got. 6. I swear I feel like I heard this before. Eh, I don't really got an opinion on it. I just eat cheese pizza and stick with that.
  22. Start of a potential new series for TPE. Created the jersey and arena in NBA 2K19. Jersey: https://gyazo.com/57870ccea249b5c2856ade34aecfffaa Arena: https://gyazo.com/172146d6c1e39821f98ba62a7281b7fd

  24. 1. I truly believe we do have what it takes to keep control of 1st in the division. We've held onto this lead for quite some time and whether we've been close to losing it or having a nice cushion between first and second, we are very determined on holding it down. 2. l love saying TPE II's name you have no idea. They've been great additions to the team, we're happy to have them here and with their help we can push Mexico City higher in the playoffs than we hoped for. 3. Our depth has been absolutely amazing and my goodness it has saved my ass lately. I mean good god, I was in a massive slump for the season and I was staying at the starting center spot, so to see that someone on the first line isn't doing too much but someone on the third or second can back me up and get work done is incredible. Every fan's dream is to have depth they can rely on. 4. Wu is a defensemen and got offensive player of the week, that says a lot about how talented he truly is. It's very crucial to us because it shows that he can do more than just shot blocks and hits, he can handle the puck nicely which can be a relief to us forwards. It's always good to see teammates score but it's even better when its a defensemen that gets it done. 5. Jerseys and hats. I'm a big collector when it comes to sports gear, it feels strange from time to time wearing something else from another city but I love sports enough to wear it no matter what. Don't worry Rory, I am not wearing other VHL/M gear, do not take me out the lineups again PLEASE. 6. Honestly, I don't mind the cold weather. I know a lot of people hate the winter for how cold it gets but I'm able to handle it. Plus, cold weather means outdoor rinks. Can't go wrong with that.
