If they're ok to sit at the third line in their rookie season why not then. But it only does good for the LR's and 10 active people is enough tbh.

Big majority though? If we're looking at current member base I really doubt if there's a majority. Competing while having bigger minutes is more fun tbh.

If every team has 6F/4D then thinking about expansion again. Like every player is getting more or less big minutes and everybody is happy so let's move up.

I know where you're coming from, but the majority VHL member base are not SHL members too. I assume every team there has at least 3F and 3 D lines and they're having fun with it, but here it's more fun if you are getting more minutes because... ...the majority of the VHL members are 25+ y.o. who are not TPE whores anymore and who are having enough with a welfare but it's still fun for us to see our player doing things with having decent playing time. Without it, we're having no fun. In order to have deep roster we need younger members who are more ''hungry'' and ready to wait for some bigger minutes.

Bringing this together and we'll have another suggestion - extra media for money.

But it was more like having right players at the right time. The 1000 TPE guys will still be better than 400 TPE in 95 % of times. And what did I say about welfare? @KGR I don't recall tbh

While we were arguing hard this man drops the realest reason here. Yes, deeper roster thing fails in a league with having only 8 seasons per player. I was burned out in SHL even before that racial meltdown btw. And if even if I'll someday comeback to that league (which won't happen anyway) I would leave in like 3-4 months cause it's too hard for me. Active 500 TPE, active 400 TPE or active 200 TPE, who has the priority huh? It's obviously that the 200 TPE guy will get less minutes which is less fun. So we're getting back to a welfare eh?

Maybe you are the hard worker in sim league, but not everybody are built like that. And it's not pretty to limit a kinda decent 400-500 TPE guy to 10-15 minutes just because he's doing less things than some TPE whore. Like me in GOMHL - I'm not visiting it often because my guy was playing only 10-15 minutes and only a champiosnhip caliber team in Ontario kept me there. But I'll be gone after Egons cause it's not fun see my player in the third line and having small role.

Don't you see? Not every member wants to see too deep roster when your player getting like 10 minutes per game. That's boring af and that leads to nothing. 6F/4D/1G per team is enough.

And playing against only 3 teams? It'll get old real quick and we're gonna beg for an expansion even you don't have the full roster.

You misunderstood. Playing less teams is boring, not teams with lesser roster.

Playing lesser opponents is more boring in general tbh.

I don't think this drastic change would be a going into a right direction though.

And then having multiple shitstorms because of that. That even might cause them to lose a motivation because of that.

Because GM's won't step down just like that.

I don't think only a fresh start will heal the league. And I don't think the VHL is in awful shape. Just bring and retain newer members and we won't talk about cuting the league down to 4-6 teams anymore.
