  1. 1. With the team we’ve had I feel this is exactly what should have been, we’ve managed to find some chemistry, it was a rocky start but we definitely worked hard to get here. 2. No real surprises, everyone is working hard to make good things happen for the team, I’m just glad to be apart of it. 3. I think if any team can do it, we stand a very good chance. We won’t really know until we get there and it will definitely be a tooth and nail battle for both teams I believe. 4. I like the connectivity of the players, but I believe I will take the start of our season into perspective. We started rough and it was demoralizing, so not getting demoralized if the team tends to have a rough start would be the biggest take away. 5. Not really my digs, though I’ve been curious about the challenge. 6. Living life without being able to do things for myself. I would hate having to rely on people overly much.
  2. 1. I think I would try to stay optimistic right now, let’s ride it out and see where it goes. A lot of players are getting fired up and it’s nice to see. 2. That depends on consistency in my opinion, if we can keep this momentum going we will do well. 3. I have to say my favourite part is the locker room connectivity of the team. This has been a very active and engaging LR. 4. I’m not too sure, it wouldn’t hurt to gain something, though if we had to trade away an asset to gain something I don’t think it would be worthwhile. We have found something that seems to be working so I think we should ride it out for now. 5. Definitely 4x4 and fire, fires and nature can cleanse the soul. 6. Brussels sprouts hands down
  3. 1. I have to admit it is a little disheartening, we have the team to do better, it’s just not happening, hopefully things turn around for us. 2. I think we are going to have to find something that works, if we do we will for sure. 3. This season I was working on consistent earning, so far I’ve been keeping that up, maybe try and earn a few more TPE than I am now, also I could be a more positive role in the LR 4. I’ve been around last season so a lot of the players I was with last season I guess. 5. Do I like banana bread, I mean could I eat it every day of my life. Ya pretty sure I could 6. Growing up watching Harry Potter definitely Emma Watson
  4. 1. I’m happy for the season to be here, unfortunately I’m doing this after the sim and we lost that game, but came back with a victory in our next game. 2.I’m going to say Alexander the Great, after seeing him develop last year I’d say he’s a top contender on our team! 3.A good start a good season, I’m hoping we can take some important wins early and lead this season early 4.Umm I’m not really biased honestly I would try and make it work where ever I am. 5. This is a fleeting question, every time I’m in line at the grocery store I try and answer it, and I always walk out with something different..... why do they put the lineup in the baking aisle? 6.I only have one thing to say to this. Chocolate!
  5. 1. This year should be a really good year for the Miami Marauders, I’m very excited to see how it plays out this season. 2. Ooph last year we struggled with Back end players so it would definitely involve picking up d men, I haven’t checked the draft yet so I’m sure that is what happened on that day. 3. Myself always, pushing skills to a maximum is always what I strive to do, and there are lots of things I need to work on moving forward to be a valuable part of this team!. 4. I think my players build is pretty solid, I just wish I were a bit more consistent earning which is what I am going to be working on this season. 5. Van Helsing currently. 6. Well African safari would be pretty cool, very primitive and simple view on the cycle of life. It would be a very big eye opener to feel vulnerable among animals that could kill you in the blink of an eye.
  6. When I was a young boy watching hockey with my father I aspired to play the sport. I started out as a Tike playing scrimmage games on a local rink. As I hit 5 years of age I played hockey immediately my father put me into skating lessons. Very shortly after I was on my first Timbits hockey team. My enjoyment for the game started there, where I realized quickly I wanted to play as a goalie! It was a rocky start as I got used to skating in the new skates. I played minor hockey in Nanaimo and when I tried for my first A team I was so nervous. Things were starting to get harder from here but I was dedicated to bettering my skills. Along with building skills, we had many duties within the community. We helped in soup kitchens which helped show a respect for the community. We were also apart of bottle drives and often helped the elderly with shovelling their walkways. Game after game we were exhausted but tourney after tourney we were top running teams in the leagues. After making my break into the minors I played a game for the Saskatoon Wild as a Waiver winning the game and earning a point in my first game! Draft day has come and gone, I have been drafted 39th overall to the D.C. Dragons whom I am very excited to play for. In the minor draft I was allocated 39th overall to the Miami Marauders whom i am also very excited to play for. My best friend Ricer is the GM of the team and Tina, his younger brother is the AGM, Although we are not brothers i consider them my brothers! It is going to be great to learn how this league works alongside my bros. The season was long and hard but the the additions to our team on draft day and the Waivers we picked up were able to help us string some wins together. Hard fought game after game we climbed the ranks making it to the playoffs, for a rebuilt team from the ground up i am proud of everyone and there commitment to bettering themselves day in and day out. The support in the Locker Room was unbelievable, every win and every loss, I feel we really grew together as a team and made some real solid connections as we move forward toward a new season coming up. I am grateful to have played beside the players moving up this season and hope to play along side or against them coming up!
  7. 1.I congratulate Mexico on the win, they were a tough team to play against all season and we’re able to pull out all the stops in the playoffs. That takes determination. 2. This season I’m holding to build more TPE more consistently than last season, there were. Few holes in my earning I could patch up. 3. I first off would congratulate Ricer on the promotion to Calgary, the addition to Miami from my understanding being around the league for quite some time could build a very stable team and I’m happy to be apart of that build. 4. I definitely think we stand a solid chance this year, a lot of our players have gained experience from our first season in the league, the addition of some defensive players also would help our chances, something I felt we struggled with last season. 5. Dude Sunday’s are for no routines 6.I mean a monkey would be about as exotic as it comes, but I’d hate it if they flung poop everywhere
  8. Wow a great season guys, really proud to have played with you all!
  9. 1. I think we can take this win, I’d say game 6 when we take it. 2. He has been a solid front ended and I’m expecting more of the same heading into the post season. 3. I don’t really know I just hope it isn’t us! 4. bad omens. 5.one sister 6. Either godsmack or chevelle. It would be really tight between the two to choose one. Maybe I see them both together!
  10. 1. Chars our newly aquired D man will make a huge gain to our back end, which has been a little light all season. 2.I am hooding to keep up the good work the team in front of me has been giving game in and game out! It’s the team that stands in front of me that inspires me to play so well. 3.our locker room is fun and engaging as well as very supportive, being on Miami has been a blast! 4. Houston is a force! We have a few other contenders that I think are ahead of us as well, I hope we can show them that Miami is a force as well. 5. Ha sometimes 6. Salty more than like, chips and popcorn!

  12. The Miami Marauders this season went into a rebuild phase, dropping many players to earn a large amount of assets in the Season 76 Draft! The first pick the Miami Marauders had they used to acquire D. Henchoz 11th overall. With the build I am seeing I can only expect an Offensive D man with 143 TPE. He was immediately traded along with the Blob for a S77 2nd, a S77 3rd and a S76 4th. Best of luck with your new team! The second pick for the team was A.T. Great being selected 28th overall A.T. Great was sitting at 145 TPE. Selecting the C position Sitting as a Two Way Forward, A gentleman dedicated to dominating the ice and getting wins! A.T. Great played 40 games for the Houston Bulls last season earning 4 points for himself and the team in the process. I am very excited to play along side A.T. Great this season and to have him in the Miami Locker Room. Being the first pick for Miami and also being assigned to 1st line, 4th line and PP 1 and PK 1 I am expecting A.T. Great to do some amazing things for the team this season, and the many seasons to come! Best of luck to you sir! The third pick for the Miami Marauders came in the same round 34th overall T. Wallace sitting at 68 TPE. He seems to also be building for a 2 Way Forward, with points built into CK and DF as well as SC and SK. He has entered Miami on the second line and also PP2. So far he has amassed 1 goal and 2 assists in his first 2 games. Best of luck this season T. Wallace! The fourth pick for the Miami Marauders is none other than yours truly! I was selected 39th over all in both the the VHL and the VHLM Drafts which I found to be a funny coincidence. I was sitting at 125 TPE at the time of the Draft, I am building a Butterfly Goalie and have been selected for Main Goalie at this time! Last Season Saskatoon Wild picked me up from waivers when I started out. I played one game for them late in the season which I was able to snag the victory. So far in our first two games we have won with me as a puck stopper. My Back up Tender is K. Fleury and I am very excited to share the crease with this gentleman this season moving forward! The fifth pick this season was selected in the same round as I was. N. Bonaparte drafted 46th overall. He was sitting at a nice 182 at the time of the Draft. From glancing at his allocation of points it looks like N. Bonaparte has built a bit of a physical Play Maker with points in Checking, Discipline Skating and Passing as well as Defence. N. Bonaparte has been an active member of the Miami locker room as have all the above mentioned who have been signed by Miami, The presence has been great since I have joined the team. N. Bonaparte has been selected for the 1st line and 4th line of the team as well as PP1. N. Bonaparte was a solid pick for the team being a late round high TPE player, and one could hope a large presence on and off the ice. N. Bonaparte played for the Houston Bulls last season for 40 games accumulating 1 goal and 7 assists in his time there. Best of luck in the season moving forward N. Bonaparte and i am excited to get to play beside you as we move into the season! In the 5th Round we had 2 picks with J. Souminan going 56th overall, he was sitting at 54 TPE at the time of the Draft. J. Souminan has points distributed in almost every category making him a very well rounded addition to the defensive core of our team. J. Souminan is our D man on our 5 man lines as well as playing 1st pairing for PP and second pairing for PK. Best of luck this season J. Souminan help me keep them pucks out of the net! The second pick of the fifth round was J. Jockesson. J. Jockesson is a D man picked 59th overall. He is built into DF SK and ST mostly with balancing points all around every other stat. Currently J. Jockesson has helped with 8 assists in his 14 games and is a part of our core Defense, a big presence on the ice with his 6'8, 225Lb body i can expect J. Jockesson to be a great asset to the team and in particular to me as the Goalie. I will be relying on our defensive boys to help me keep that puck out of the net by blocking passing lanes and filling up scoring zones. J. Jockesson is on the main D line as well as snagging a spot on our PP2 and PK2. Coming up next in the Draft is D. Mackey. D. Mackey was selected in the 6th round 61st overall. He joined us with 127 TPE and has quickly shot up to 147 TPE. D. Mackey played 70 games last season split between 2 teams. D. Mackey is a LW. He played first for the San Diego Marlins for 13 games. He then moved on to the Minnesota Storm for 57 games accumulating 39 points throughout the season 20 goals and 19 assists. His high skills in Puck Handling, Skating, and Scoring make him a solid contender on our team, in 14 games he has as many points split evenly between goals and assists. This was another nice later round pick ups by the Miami GM's. D. Mackey is on our second line as well as having a place in our PP2. Next in the draft is J. Coon, J. Coon is a RW who has also joined me in our Major team. The D.C. Dragons. J. Coon was selected in the 6th round 64th overall by Miami. J. Coon had 76 TPE at the time of the Draft and has shot up to 100 TPE currently. He is built into Skating, Strength and Scoring as well as Defence. He is a well rounded player for the Miami Marauders. J. Coon sits on our third line as well as having a spot on PK2. Next up in the Draft came K.Fleury snagging a spot in the 7th round at 76th overall. K.Fleury is the back up Goaltender for the team. At the time of the Draft K. Fleury Had 60 TPE and has grown to 72 TPE currently. Miami is the first team K. Fleury has played for in the 3 games he has played he has 2 losses and an overtime loss, K. Fleury has managed to maintain a .876 save percentage, I am very happy to share the crease with this gentleman as we push on to victory! K. Fleury is built into Size, Rebound Control, Hand Speed, and Reaction Speed. Next up in the Draft was R. Dixon. R. Dixon came to us with 50 TPE landing a 7th round pick 79th overall. This is the first team. R. Dixon has played for. In his first 14 games Dixon has 3 assists. R. Dixon is a RW for the team playing on the third line for our team. R. Dixon has built evenly across all stats and looks to be a well rounded player. As with all the Draftees this year best of luck in the season and i will see you on the ice and in our locker room! Last up in the Draft, coming in the 8th round 91st overall was R.T. Mcfadden. R.T. Mcfadden is a D man with 48 TPE, He snagged second line D position as well as PP2. R.T. Mcfadden played 2 games with Miami. He got 1 assist in the two games but was released to the free agency. Best of luck this year R.T. Mcfadden! All in all the Draft for the Miami Marauders was a great success in my humble opinion. The team is in a rebuild state I feel this year, With a little work on finding chemistry through out the team, and some work on the side of the players and Management alike I feel we could be a contending team this year, as well as for years to come. I am very happy with my appointment to the team and being able to meet all the other players. Look out for all of these players in the years to come as we develop and grow over the years I am excited to see who wins awards, who is willing to push when the going gets tough, and who what team will ultimately stamp out the cups in the years to come! Best of luck to eveyone in this years Draft and keep up the good work! Word count 1508
  13. Damn that was great to read and experience, thank you for opening up like that, it’s never easy to bear yourself like that, I appreciate that honesty!
  14. 1. I am feeling pretty solid with my new spot on Miami, I am excited to get to know the rest of my team moving forward with our first start this Wednesday. I am hoping to keep that damn puck out of the net, that is my job as a Goalie! I see Miami winning it all this season! Youth for the win! Definitely loving some Media Spots, Press Conference , and Trivia! Calgary Flames for the win! I love fishing, maybe something like that?
  15. My Thoughts on joining a new League After hearing the boys talk on friday/saturday nights about this simulation league they were playing and hearing how in depth their conversations were I was intrigued to find out more. For one reason so I could be involved in there conversations but also to see how it all worked. I joined a few weeks ago and was waivered ( I think that's the word) to the Saskatoon Wild. My first thoughts on the league were how overwhelmed I was looking at everything going on, discord, forums and a portal! In depth indeed! Through my first few days i had a lot of help from the community and was guided in the right direction on how to collect welfare at first and practice session, and then on how to submit articles like the one i am currently writing. I came in at the end of the regular season as a back up goalie and my first game played I got the win, and got a point to boot! I think the best part I've experienced so far is the willingness to help others in the league I've seen, I have been made aware of that everyone was once where I was, staring at these screens and making no sense of them. The patience and understanding I've had from GM's and AGM's alike as well as team support has made me realize how welcoming this league really is to new people. I am very excited to see how the league develops and grows as I am around to see it. I am also looking very forward to to the draft and to see where I will end up, which team, will i be a back up goalie and then make it to a main goalie while being in the VHLM. While I am building TPE, watching my player work on his skills and grow and develop until he is ready for the VHL the excitement of stepping out onto the ice for my first game in the major leagues. Phew man, I don't think I have to tell anyone that feeling! The League is very large with hundreds of people playing, working through the VHLM to build your player to hopefully play in the VHL for your major team. Draft week is coming up and I'm somewhere in that large list of people either starting out on their first journey or maybe coming back with a new player after finishing their first season. The race to see who makes it to the playoffs, who stays on the team and becomes a veteran, who retires, who gets rewards for their respective teams and in the league as a whole. It is this that has gotten me excited for what is to come. I also get to join in with the boys on the weekends about the goings on in the league, the big trades, the big games leading up to the playoffs. I hope as well to be able to make lasting friendships with players and teams and to one day pass on the knowledge that was handed to me, and of course the enjoyment for the sport of hockey and this beautiful league as well! 16. I was definitely recruited by tinafrombobsburgers
  17. 1. Being a new player just entering the league I am unsure where we are in the standing currently, I am interested in meeting the team and seeing how I can contribute to the team as a whole. 2. Again I am kind of new to how things work in the league, I wish them luck in clinching top spots in the draft. 3. I am hoping to enjoy my time here in #SaskyBois, maybe I’ll be one of them! 4. Florent vermicel seems to be a force to be second with, well done mate! 5. For me it was getting signed by the Saskatoon Wild as a goalie, I am really looking forward to development and growth with the team! 6. I’m a Canadian boy, need I say more?
