S94 - WCoH Fantasy Zone | World Cup of Hockey Payouts
v.2 replied to AJW's topic in VHL Fantasy Zone
Damn I got cooked -
Driving recruitment and retention in a simulation forum community like the Victory Hockey League (VHL) can be approached through several strategies. Here are some ideas to consider: ### Recruitment Strategies 1. **Social Media Presence:** - **Regular Updates:** Share regular updates, highlights, and achievements on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. - **Engaging Content:** Create engaging content such as game recaps, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes looks at the league. - **Hashtags and Challenges:** Use popular hashtags and create challenges to increase visibility. 2. **Collaborations and Partnerships:** - **Podcasts and YouTube Channels:** Partner with hockey podcasts and YouTube channels to promote the VHL. - **Online Communities:** Collaborate with other online sports communities, Reddit groups, and forums. 3. **Referral Program:** - **Incentives:** Offer incentives such as in-game rewards, special roles, or exclusive content for members who refer new users. - **Leaderboard:** Create a referral leaderboard to gamify the recruitment process. 4. **SEO and Online Presence:** - **Optimized Website:** Ensure your website is optimized for search engines to attract organic traffic. - **Content Marketing:** Regularly post blogs or articles about hockey, simulation games, and the VHL itself. 5. **Advertising:** - **Targeted Ads:** Use targeted ads on social media and search engines to reach potential members. - **Hockey Sites and Blogs:** Advertise on popular hockey-related websites and blogs. ### Retention Strategies 1. **Onboarding Process:** - **Welcome Messages:** Send personalized welcome messages to new members. - **Guides and Tutorials:** Provide comprehensive guides and tutorials to help new members get started. - **Mentorship Program:** Pair new members with experienced members who can guide them. 2. **Community Engagement:** - **Regular Events:** Host regular events such as live games, Q&A sessions, and community challenges. - **Active Forums:** Ensure forums are active and engaging with regular discussions and interactions. - **Feedback Mechanism:** Implement a feedback mechanism to gather suggestions and improve the community. 3. **In-Game Rewards and Achievements:** - **Recognition:** Regularly recognize and reward members for their contributions and achievements. - **Progression System:** Develop a progression system that keeps members motivated to participate. 4. **Communication:** - **Newsletter:** Send out a regular newsletter with updates, upcoming events, and member highlights. - **Transparent Updates:** Keep the community informed about changes, updates, and future plans. 5. **Community Building:** - **Inclusive Environment:** Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members. - **Sub-Communities:** Create sub-communities or interest groups within the forum to cater to different interests. 6. **Technical Improvements:** - **User-Friendly Interface:** Ensure the platform is user-friendly and accessible. - **Performance:** Regularly update and maintain the site to avoid technical issues. Implementing a combination of these strategies can help increase both recruitment and retention in the VHL community.

Yeahh, as soon as I post career highs I get hit with max depreciation and enter my final year lol. With no individual awards to show. I feel like 9 seasons makes more sense for a goalie and defender as the chance to win as a max earner is less competitive when going for personal awards or record breaking, but now im toying with the idea of just retiring at the start of the seasons and letting my player ride into the sunset.

Oh great another mental breakdown

1. Four more wins... no matter what. That's what it'll take. This team can do it!!!! 2. I have not and don't plan to see the new one, not really the type of movie I like. 3. I think Castle is primed for another MVP playoff cup run. Let's hope it plays out! 4. Not really, earn as much as possible to fight against that final depreciation hit. Old man Atlas is fizzling out but hopefully with a bang! 5. Looks like we got Moscow! I was ok with either opponent but honestly didn't expect Moscow to make it here after an abysmal regular season where they underperformed. 6. I guess I've got to get on that. I heard Spaceballs was super funny though.

As the playoffs roll on, the Toronto Legion once again find themselves in a matchup against the Seattle Bears. Heading into the 2nd round, the Legion hope to redeem themselves after last seasons disappointment. Fresh off a Victory Cup, the team is feeling poised and confident this time around. Goals are not hard to come by with his squad, and old man Castle has been nothing short of spectacular so far during his final run. Before we know it, another offseason will be upon us. Fantasy Zone payouts have begun, and it's safe to say I officially suck ass at Super Coach. I think the issue is I just rush it every time its posted so that I don't forget to get my picks in. Honestly not really looking forward to this offseason as it will be in the dead of summer and probably feel like a drag. Then again they always do! Atlas has one more season left and is set up to receive a hefty depreciation hit, but im hoping I can still finish out a career icing him with ~1000 TPA.

1. Biggest threat now is Seattle. A rematch of last season as we hope to come out on top this time! It will be a crazy goalie duel. 2. Rehabbed a nagging injury to stay in top shape for the playoffs, ready to put it all on the line. 3. Happy that Toronto won the Victory Cup while Atlas also reached new career highs and climbed the legion all time stats board. 4. Leonardo DiCaprio for sure. 5. Super special, that's been the key to our success as a team is having guys like Machado want to stay and play out their career as a Legion. 6. Pineapple, black olives, not too picky when it comes to pizza aside from anchovies.

I continue to suck at this
