@ace_five_ Welcome everyone, It is now the beginning of the third season since the VHLE was killed and I wanted to take another look at it. I remember when the commissioners announced the end of the VHLE, it got a lot of people talking. Some were really really happy to see it defunct, some were disappointed, but after the two-three weeks of hype, it has fallen in the oblivion. This is why I wanted to have a little bit of fun and tried to do a top 10 of the best forwards of the history of the VHLE. I hope I didn’t forget anyone, if I did let me know. Honorable mention: John Richards @John Cimarno: 360 GP, 135 G, 154 A, 289 P, Renaissance Cup S90, Aldwin Craig S89 Finn Davis @M1nT: 432 GP, 124 G, 238 A, 362 P Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson @Cxsquared: 216 GP, 111 G, 148 A, 259 P Matt Rooster @hcrooster96: 471 GP, 148 G, 245 A, 393 P Ray withers @Ray Withers: 572 GP, 169 G, 255 A, 424 P, Renaissance Cup S84 #10 Tyrece the beast (COL) @beanhead420 To start the top 10 today, we have Tyrece the beast, a centerman who played his entire career with the Cologne Express between S92 and S95. In this period of time, the beast recorded 92 goals, 157 assists and 249 points in 274 games. He kept a differential of +77 and gave 468 hits. He also did really good in the playoffs as he accumulated 11 goals and 29 points in 38 games. On top of that, Tyrece the beast won the Renaissance Cup with the Cologne Express two times, in S94 and in S95. The Express was nothing less than a dynasty in the late 80's and the early 90's and Tyrece was a really important player for the time he played there. #9 Lorenzo Cobberson (OSL, COL) @Hendrix Cobberson For the second player of our top 10, we have another Cologne Express player. Cobberson started his VHLE's career in S85 with the Oslo Storm where he only scored 15 points in 72 games during the regular season. He however won his first Renaissance Cup this season. Lorenzo Cobberson then got traded to the Cologne Express and this is where his production exploded. Indeed, he recorded 254 points in 216 games while maintaining a +/- of 109. He also won a Cup with Cologne in S87 after scoring 9 points in 11 games. #8 Alexander Stroheim (IST, OSL) @Stroheim Alexander Stroheim is the only player in the top 10 who played only three seasons in the VHLE. He played a season and a half with the Istanbul Red Wolves and another season and a half with the Oslo Storm where he won a Renaissance Cup in S88. During these playoffs, Alexander Stroheim had 16 points in 13 games to help his team win. In 216 games with the two teams, Stroheim scored 114 goals and added 154 assists for a total of 268 points. He also had a differential of +41. #7 Kobe Johnson (GEN, VAS) @Vkobe-v Kobe Johnson was drafted by the Geneva Rush at the end of the second round, 15th overall in the S86 draft. He then started his career in S87 with Geneva where he played the next three seasons. Johnson finished his VHLE's career with the Vasteras Iron Eagles where he played two seasons, to make it five total. In 360 games in the VHLE, Kobe Johnson recorded 146 goals and 180 assists for a total in 326 points. He also kept a really impressive +112 while adding 506 hits and 80 shots blocked. #6 Aldwin Craig (STO) @Eldredman Aldwin Craig played the entirety of his career with the team that drafted him 6th overall in the first ever VHLE Entry Draft in S80, the Stockholm Vikings. He played five seasons with the team where he scored 99 goals, 221 assists and 320 points in 360 games. Craig won the Renaissance Cup with Stockholm in S81 and he scored 7 points in 9 games in these series. He also won the trophy of the best two-way forward of the VHLE in S81, that would later on be named after him, the Aldwin Craig Trophy. #5 Maxwell Mathias (OSL, VAS, GEN, COL, ROM, BRA) @Underclass_Hero We are now getting into the top 5 and the one that is starting it is the third forward with the most point in the history of the VHLE, Maxwell Mathias. During his career in the VHLE, Mathias played for six different teams and he made the Renaissance Cup final two times, in S84 and in S85, but he lost both times in six games. In 494 games, Maxwell Mathias scored 127 goals and added 320 assists for 447 points. To that, he added 872 hits and 724 shots blocked. #4 Al Land (STO, COL) @Big Dee Al Land started his career with the Stockholm Vikings in S85, but he only played one season there before going to Cologne where he played five seasons, in S86, S88, S89, S90 and S91. With the two teams, Land recorded 172 goals and 207 assists for a total of 379 points in 432 games. Al Land is also the forward with the most Renaissance Cup tied with BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson. Indeed, he won three Renaissance Cup and what's even more impressive is that he won them back to back to back, in S89, S90 and S91. #3 Adeline Delle Donne (BRA, COL, VAS, OSL) @Dtayl Adeline Delle Donne is the second forward with the most points in the history of the VHLE and third all positions combined. She played for four different teams during her career and scored 194 goals, 296 assists and 490 points in 572 points. Delle Donne was also pretty good in the playoffs as she won two Renaissance Cup, the first one in S83 with the Bratislava Watchmen and the second one in S88 with the Oslo Storm. S87 was a good season for her as she won the Aldwin Craig Trophy. #2 Sebastien dokis (GEN, STO, VAS, OSL) @Sebastien Sebastien dokis is without a doubt a top 5 VHLE player of all-time all positions combined as he finished his career with 151 goals, 279 assists and 430 points in 418 games. S87 was by far dokis' best season as he finished with 48 goals and 115 points in 72 games and he also won the Ronan Lavelle Trophy awarded to the most valuable player during the regular season. Sebastien dokis won his only Renaissance Cup the season before in S86 with the Oslo Storm. #1 BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson (COL, ROM, BRA) @JardyB10 I don't even think that this is a debate, but BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson was and will always be the best player the VHLE ever saw. He is almost always 1st in every offensive categories. He is by far first in goals (303), second in assists (347), first in points (650), fourth in +/- (+108), by far first in shots (3678), first among the forwards in hits (1047), first in game winning goals (54), second in power play goals (70), second in short handed goals (4) and first in hat tricks (9). During his career, BjornaBjorkson won the Renaissance Cup three times, all with the Cologne Express, in S87, S94 and in S95. He also won the Florida Man Trophy in S88 with the Rome Gladiators. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good end of the season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!

Tonight was the beginning of my 4th seasons as the GM of the London United and I feel like we are ready to take the next step and compete for a place in the playoffs this season. We have a really good group in the locker room I know we are going to make great things soon. C - Alexandros Mograine @sliceruser Once again, Alexandros Mograine will be the captain of the London United this season. It was a no-brainer for me as he was part of the team since the beginning of this adventure. We are really happy to have him on the team and we are confident that he will have another really good season. A - Alagsantere Groenvold @VattghernCZ After a really good rookie season, we are really excited to see what Groenvold will do this season for the team. Alagsantere is a really important member of the locker room and they make everyone feel welcome when they join the London United. A - Drosmis Sarkanis @Mr Bohannan Finally, we have Drosmis Sarkanis who finished on the All-VHL rookie team last season because of his incredible season. Sarkanis is also an important player in the locker room and we are really glad to have him on the team. Congratulations to everyone and let's goo London!!

@slothfacekilla Welcome everyone, I don't know why, but it is the season start that I have been the most excited about in a little while. Maybe it's because the off-season took 5 years... or maybe it's because I feel like we are going to see, once again, a really exciting and fierce race during the regular season. The season will start next Wednesday, but before that, here is the S98 VHLM season preview. #1 Mexico City Kings Offense rank: 2nd Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: T-1st The Mexico City Kings had a pretty difficult season in S97 as they finished 8th in the league with a record of 29 wins, 31 losses, and 12 losses in overtime for a total of 70 points in 72 games. However, at the dawn of the regular season, it seems like Mexico City's roster is now totally different as all the players are way better than they were last season, but only two players joined the team in the off-season. Indeed, Peter Venkman @Josh and Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers are going to be two really important player at the blue line for the Kings. #2 Houston Bulls Offense rank: 1st Defense rank: 3rd Goalie rank: T-1st Just like last season, the Houston Bulls are once again going to go all-in this season as they will probably be one of the best team in the league. The best forward core in the league are all pretty similar and it is pretty tough to predict which one will be the best, but led by Hunter s @Hunter S and Robin Sierra @ethanjaeda, Houston's offense is without a doubt going to be really dangerous this season. With Feka Ohi Kau @Hacob and Jack Jack @Uncommon on defense and Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 tending the goal, the Bulls will be a force this season. #3 Halifax 21st Offense rank: 4th Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: T-1st After a big regular season in S97 as they won the Prime Minister's Cup for the best regular season record in the VHLM, the Halifax 21st will again look to compete for the Founder's Cup in the playoffs this season. The 21st lost a couple of really important players from last season, but they have young players who benefited from the off-season. Offensively, Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl and Steven Nichols @SlyDigi are going to be important for Halifax this season, and Chad Powers @Big_Dyl in the net will be one of the best goalies in the league this season. #4 Mississauga Hounds Offense rank: 5th Defense rank: 4th Goalie rank: 6th Last season was really difficult for the Mississauga Hounds because they finished last in the league with only 11 wins, 49 losses, and 12 overtime losses for a total of 34 points in 72 games. However, the team grew from this and are now ready to compete again in S98. Mississauga acquired Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone from the Miami Marauders during the off-season and the Canadian forward is going to be the leader of this offense. Defensively, Kurt Bachmann @Blutch is going to be the general of this team. #5 Saskatoon Wild Offense rank: 3rd Defense rank: 9th Goalie rank: T-1st The Saskatoon Wild had a pretty interesting playoff run last season as they defeated the San Diego Marlins in the 1st round before losing to the Founder's Cup champion in the 2nd round. This season, the Wild will hope to continue this momentum and will even try to compete as they have a pretty good offense led by CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx and Captain Nugget Jr @Captain nugget, and also a good goalie in Toby Bob @Baby Boomer. The only question mark is on defense as they currently only have two defensemen in their roster. #6 Philadelphia Reapers Offense rank: 7th Defense rank: 5th Goalie rank: 7th Just like the Mississauga Hounds, the Philadelphia Reapers faced some difficulties last season as they finished 9th in the league with 24 wins and 56 points in 72 games. This season, the Reapers will continue their rebuild as I don't see them being among the top teams in the league. The Philadelphia Reapers acquired forward Joseph Poole @Itz_Viperz and the S99 LVA 3rd from San Diego for Jacob Seed @oilmandan and a 5th in S99. With Joseph Poole, Jackson Jeannot @Lucas anton is going to be the another forward that will lead the team offensively. #7 San Diego Marlins Offense rank: 8th Defense rank: 6th Goalie rank: 9th The San Diego Marlins' roster is really weird this season. They have some of the best forwards in the league in Cardinal Copia @Beketov and Zak Trokker @Peace, but they only have three forwards on their team. At the blue line, Victory Hockey League @TheHockey_pro will have to step up if they want to compete this season. I don't know what the plan of the GM is, but if they want to compete, they definitely need to add some depth to this team. On the other hand, if they want to rebuild, the team has a lot of options. #8 Las Vegas Aces Offense rank: 9th Defense rank: 7th Goalie rank: 5th I would like to congratulate the Las Vegas Aces for their victory of the S97 Founder's Cup. The upcoming regular season is going to be a little bit different for the Las Vegas Aces as I don't see them being as competitive as they were last season. Raoul Cyr @Tyler and Mathias Gunnarsson @ThatCanadian will have to play a big role in the locker room if they want the team to perform and to make the playoffs this time around. #9 Ottawa Lynx Offense rank: 6th Defense rank: 10th Goalie rank: 8th S98 is going to be a weird season in Ottawa. Indeed, with Gingy @MexicanCow123 and Owen two @do3bo1, Ottawa is going to be pretty good offensively and they probably won't have any difficulty scoring goals. However, the problem is going to be on defense and in front of the net. With only two defensemen in the roster and a young rookie goalie, preventing the other teams from scoring goals will be a pretty big challenge for the team. Ottawa could make the playoffs, but it would be a surprise for me. #10 Miami Marauders Offense rank: 10th Defense rank: 8th Goalie rank: 10th The Miami Marauders' run ended early last season as they lost in the first round of the playoffs against the Las Vegas Aces. Sadly, the team lost a lot of key players in the off-season and now only have seven players on their entire roster. Danny Ross @Spartakiller2 and Dog Jagr @koty_k will without a doubt have a lot of ice time this season and are going to be important players for the team. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!

@slothfacekilla Welcome everyone! After a really interesting regular season and playoffs full of surprises, it is time to turn the page on Season 97-- but before that, I would like to congratulate @sadie and the Las Vegas Aces for their incredible run in the playoffs and their Founder's Cup victory. S98 will begin with the S98 VHLM Dispersal Draft and we are here to do the Mock Draft. So without further ado, let's dive in with the Marlins! #1 San Diego Marlins Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers D - 255 TPE Even tough the San Diego Marlins finished 3rd in the standings, they had the 1st round pick of the Mississauga Hounds, who finished last in the standings, as they acquired it back in S96. San Diego had a pretty good regular season before losing in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces, and a lot of players are returning for another run in S98. I think that with the returning players and the new rookies, the Marlins will have the team to be pretty good again. Since Tina Hughes is by far the best player in the draft this season, they are, in my opinion, the logic choice for San Diego. #2 Philadelphia Reapers Titus Cunningham @thadthrasher D - 160 TPE After a tough season, the Philadelphia Reapers will look to continue their rebuild by adding a couple of young players that will play in the VHLM for more than one season. With the 2nd overall pick, they have the opportunity to draft a "safe bet" that everybody knows will become a great player in the VHLM and even in the VHL. This player is Titus Cunningham. They will likely play two seasons in the VHLM, and will without a doubt help the team they are playing for. Since I believe the Reapers will be ready to compete next season, Titus is the ideal player for them. #3 Mexico City Kings Krister Von Casar Tzesar @comrade cat D - 145 TPE Mexico City's roster is starting to look good, and I really believe that if they can improve their defense during the off-season, they can compete for the Founder's Cup in Season 99. After Tina Hughes and Titus Cunningham, the third best defenseman in the draft is Krister Von Casar Tzesar, a strong, 6' 8", man among boys from Sweden. Tzesar could really help the Kings this season and even for the season after that as I see him playing in the VHLM for the next 2-3 seasons. #4 Saskatoon Wild Lorenzo Mancini @GioSivo LW - 165 TPE After a really surprising run in the playoffs, the Saskatoon Wild are probably going to continue their rebuild next season and will look to draft players that will play more than one season with them. After losing key players, Mikko Tuomala @flyersfan345 and Brigitta Sandstrom @Acydburn, both of whom moved up to the VHL, the Wild should look for projects in the draft. In my opinion, Lorenzo Manicini is the perfect fit for the team as he will also play for another 2-3 seasons in the VHLM and could help the team now and in the future. #5 Las Vegas Aces Kal El @Viper LW - 137 TPE The Las Vegas Aces lost a lot of star players after their Founder's Cup victory and are kind of in the middle. I could see them trying to make a push to be competitive for another season, but I could also see them selling everything to go into a rebuild. In both cases, Kal El would be the best choice for the Aces. Firstly, they just won the Cup with the team so they are already familiar with how everything works in Las Vegas. Secondly, they can help the team now if they want to compete, but they can also be really useful in the future if the team decides to rebuild. #6 Saskatoon Wild Nick Sansoe Jr @Tipskid97 RW - 134 TPE With their second pick in the first round, the Saskatoon Wild will probably continue with the same strategy they had when they drafted their first player. They will continue their rebuild and Nick Sansoe Jr is the perfect pick for this. just like Kal El, Nick Sansoe Jr played for the Saskatoon Wild last season, so he already knows how things are done there and he could play for the Wild for at least the next 2-3 seasons. #7 Houston Bulls Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9 RW - 214 TPE Just like the Las Vegas Aces, the Houston Bulls are at a crossroads, they could go all in for another season or sell everything and enter a rebuild. Ryan Mantzz would be the perfect pick for the team as he can help them no matter what direction they take. He is already a good player and I think he will play two more seasons in the VHLM before going to the VHL. #8 Halifax 21st Family Mart @birb LW - 110 TPE The Halifax 21st have two picks at the end of the first round, and after a really good regular season in S97, they will try to be competitive again in S98. I think a little reconstruction is what the team needs so they can be competitive in S99. With that in mind, Family Mart is the best choice for the 21st. He will be an important player for Halifax for the next 2-3 seasons at least and would be returning to the club after a short waiver stint. #9 Mississauga Hounds Yor Bjorven @Rin G - 134 TPE After a difficult season, the Mississauga Hounds only have the 9th overall pick in the first round, but the team is starting to look good and could even compete next season. The only position that has a big question mark is in front of the net as they don't really have a goalie-- both of their S97 goalies are re-entering the draft after being waiver pickups. This is why they could re-acquire one of them with their 9th overall selection, re-enter Yor Bjorven. #10 Halifax 21st Viener Schnitzel @Spaz RW - 90 TPE Just as with the 8th overall pick, the Halifax 21st are going to draft a player that could help them next season, but especially in the seasons to come. Viener Schnitzel could very well play in the VHLM for the next three seasons and could be a really important player for the 21st in the future as they retool after their Founder's Cup bid. Honorable mentions: Additional Pylons - D @courtjestr19 David David - D @Knight Chris Barbre - D @The Wreckening whiteknight - G @shaun1979 Xavier Dumont - D @Xavier Dumont Finnegan Tex Simms - G @Will3 Vincent Martinez - D @bigdolla Takashi Borisyuk - D @PacifistKit17 Boing Boing - RW @slothfacekilla That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading, and I wish you all a great draft and a good off-season. See you in another VSN article!

You lost to Saskatoon, you don't deserve no scouting lol But serioulsy, I always start my scouting after the playoffs, so don't worry

I am just doing my job and I am happy to be here ahah, but thank you!

@ace_five_ Welcome, everyone! It is finally the most beautiful time of the season: THE PLAYOFFS. This is the time everyone has been waiting for all season long. This is where each team and each player will do everything they can to win the championship and the Founder's Cup. This is the best hockey of the season. Unlike last season, each conference is pretty even and it's likely going to make the playoffs even more interesting as we will find out which conference was the best in the VHLM in S97. Quarter-final #1 - Halifax 21st (1) vs Mexico City Kings (8) Regular season series: HFX wins 4-2-0. After a really impressive regular season, the Halifax 21st finished at the top of the standings with a record of 53 wins, 13 losses, and 6 losses in overtime for a total of 112 points in 72 games. Offensively, Halifax was the best team in the league with 234 goals. We can only hope for them that Pelayo Bolivar @SMYLS4, Ty Duke @TheDuke, and Inker Belle @WildfireMicro will continue their incredible work in the playoffs as they finished respectively 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the league in points. On the other hand, the Mexico City Kings will have to play incredibly well defensively if they want to win some games in this series. I, however, don't really see the Kings winning this series against the 21st. VSN Prediction: Halifax wins in 5 games. Quarter-final #2 - San Diego Marlins (2) vs Saskatoon Wild (7) Regular season series: SDM wins 7-1-1. In the VHLM, the best team of each conference is automatically the #1 and the #2 seeds in the playoffs. Since the San Diego Marlins finished first in the Western Conference, they are the #2 seed behind the Halifax 21st. This is why they are 2nd despite being 3rd in the regular season standings. Even though I don't think the Saskatoon Wild can win this series, I think they can put up a bigger fight than the Mexico City Kings. Indeed, with the brilliant work of their rookie goalie, Toby Bob @Baby Boomer, I believe that they can steal a game or two. San Diego, on the other hand, is the best team in the league defensively, and with Ricky LaFleur @DarkSpyro in the net and with the defensemen Bubbles LaFleur @AJW and Blaze Thunderstrike @eaglesfan036 it will be really difficult to score against the Marlins. VSN Prediction: San Diego wins in 6 games. Quarter-final #3 - Miami Marauders (3) vs Las Vegas (6) Regular season series: MIA wins 5-1-0. The Miami Marauders are going to be a scary team this off-season as they finished 2nd in the league with 50 wins and 107 points in 72 games, 2nd in goals scored with 214, 2nd in goals against with 126, and they have five players in the top 10 in points, including two in the top 5-- Jacob Longstreet @Dynamicmlb_42 with 98 points and Armas Jortikka @Kavadar with 86 points, who is also leading all defensemen in points. The Las Vegas Aces also have a good team with defensemen Albin Aldgard @animal74 and Kazuma Satou @Spartan . In the net, the Aces have one of the best goalies during the regular season in Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun @TenIQ. Nonetheless, I don't think the Las Vegas Aces have the offense to win this series against the Miami Marauders. VSN Prediction: Miami wins in 5 games. Quarter-final #4 - Houston Bulls (4) vs Ottawa Lynx (5) Regular season series: HOU wins 7-1-0. On paper, this series is going to be the most interesting one of the first round. Even though I don't think the Ottawa Lynx are going to win this series, I still think that they are the team that is the most likely to cause a surprise in the first round. If they do, it will be because of the best tandem of goaltenders in the league, composed of Vladimir Trunov @qripll and Dr Victor von Doom @Garsh. They each finished with a save percentage of 0.926 and with a goals against average of 1.98 and 1.85 respectively. On the other side, just like he did all season long, Cash Carti @v.2 will have to be a really important player in Houston's offense throughout this series, but also for the rest of the playoffs if the Bulls want to go far. VSN Prediction: Houston wins in 6 games. Semi-final #1 - Halifax 21st (1) vs Houston Bulls (4) Regular season series: HFX wins 6-1-1. The predictions of the four series of the first round were relatively easy to make as the top four was a step above the rest of the league, but now that there are only these four teams left, the playoffs will be even more interesting as pretty much anything can happen. In this series, we have the best team in the league offensively-- the Halifax 21st playing against a team who is a little bit better all around, the Houston Bulls. At the end of the day, I think the Halifax 21st are still the better team between the two of them so this is why I give them the advantage. VSN Prediction: Halifax wins in 6 games. Semi-final #2 - San Diego Marlins (2) vs Miami Marauders (3) Regular season series: MIA wins 6-1-1. Just like the other semi-final, this series is going to be really interesting to follow. Indeed, defensively these teams are the best in the league as they have two of the best goalies in the VHLM-- Draw Mac @okochastar for the Marauders and Ricky LaFleur for the Marlins. That being said, the Miami Marauders are way better offensively, and I think that players like Jacob Longstreet @Dynamicmlb_42, Elf shoes @ELF_SH0ES and Luc Moreau @minman are going to make the difference in this series. VSN Prediction: Miami wins in 6 games. Founder's Cup Final - Halifax 21st (1) vs Miami Marauders (3) Regular season series: HFX wins 7-2-0. Logically, this season we should see the Halifax 21st play against the Miami Marauders in the final as they are the two best teams during the regular season on paper and in sim action. It will surely be a really tight and fun final of the Founder's Cup. Even if Halifax and Miami had a pretty similar season, the 21st completely dominated the head-to-head matchup as they won seven of the nine games they played against each other. For this reason, I would give Halifax the edge to win the Founder's Cup. VSN Prediction: Halifax wins in 6 games. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading and I wish you all a great playoffs! See you in the next VSN article!

Hey hey, welcome back!!

Graphic: @LucyXpher Welcome everyone! The trade deadline was pretty boring in the VHL and in the VHLM with only one trade in the big league and not a single trade in the M. The standings are currently very tight and the end of the season will be exciting to follow, but I think that I was expecting more trades from both the contending teams and the ones that are realistically not good enough to make a real push in the playoffs. I guess that each GM has their strategies and reasons, but I still find it a little weird. #1 Halifax 21st Prediction at the beginning of the season : 5th I knew at the beginning of the season that Halifax's offense was good, but I could not have known that it would be this good. The Halifax 21st are leading the league with 201 goals in 61 games this season-- for comparison, the team with the second most goals is the Miami Marauders (167). The 21st can thank Pelayo Bolivar @SMYLS4, Ty Duke @TheDukeand Inker Belle @WildfireMicro for their offensive contributions as they are currently 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the league with 88, 87 and 82 points respectively. #2 Miami Marauders Prediction at the beginning of the season : 2nd Just like I predicted, the Miami Marauders are currently 2nd in the league and in most other categories. They are 2nd in points, 2nd in wins, 2nd in goals scored and 2nd in goal differential, but they are 3rd in goals against. They are currently doing very well offensively as they have four players in the top 10 in points-- Jacob Longstreet @Dynamicmlb_42 with 79 points, Armas Jortikka @Kavadar with 72, Elf shoes @ELF_SH0ES with 67 and Filip Zinek @FiZi with 62. On the defensive side, Dog Jagr @koty_k is 3rd in the league with 205 hits. #3 Houston Bulls Prediction at the beginning of the season : 3rd Once again, my prediction was good, the Houston Bulls are currently 3rd in the league. In opposition to the Miami Marauders, Houston's offense is led by one man, Cash Carti @v.2 , who is leading the team in goals (37), points (69) and game winning goals (9). Alex LeBlanc @Psanchez55 is also 2nd among defenseman in points with 51, and is 9th in the league with 39 assists. Defensively, Jack Jack @Uncommon has 91 shots blocked and is 9th in the league in this category. #4 San Diego Marlins Prediction at the beginning of the season : 1st At the beginning of the season, I thought that the San Diego Marlins were going to finish the regular season 1st in the standings, however, the Marlins are currently 4th in the league-- 12 points behind the Halifax 21st. The San Diego Marlins have a couple of really promising young players and will definitely be competitive next season. San Diego has one of the best goalies in the league right now in Ricky LaFleur @DarkSpyro, who is rocking a save percentage of 0.919, and is leading the league in shutouts with 15 and with a goals against average of 1.57. #5 Ottawa Lynx Prediction at the beginning of the season : 6th My prediction about Ottawa's place in the standing was pretty good, but what was even better was my prediction about Ottawa's goalies. I ranked them 1st in the league before the start to the season and they are exactly there now. Indeed, Vladimir Trunov @qripll and Dr Victor von Doom @Garsh are 1st and 2nd in the league in save percentage with 0.927 and 0.926 respectively. They also have a goals against average of 1.98 and 1.85. On offense, Joel Jakobs @Plate is leading the team in goals (35) and points (67). #6 Las Vegas Aces Prediction at the beginning of the season : 4th On paper, the Las Vegas Aces have one of the best defenses in the league and they have showed it on the ice since the beginning of the season. The real problem of Las Vegas, however, is their offense. They are the worst team in the league offensively with only 102 goals. Their four best scorers are all defensemen: Albin Aldgard (42) @animal74, Kazouma Satou (37) @Spartan , Mathias Gunnarsson (37) @ThatCanadian and Manuel Ceson (34) @dylanjj37. #7 Mexico City Kings Prediction at the beginning of the season : 9th The Mexico City Kings are a team that is really surprising me as they are currently in a playoff spot coming out of the trade deadline, even though I did not think they would make the playoffs. Indeed, their forward core is really young but is punching above their weight as Old Man On Skates @Jason 2.0 and Spallsy McDavid @Lochlan Chisholm respectively have 58 and 54 points. In the net, Pepe Silvia @STZ is finding his way as well as he is now 3rd in the league with a save percentage of 0.920. #8 Saskatoon Wild Prediction at the beginning of the season : 8th As expected, the Saskatoon Wild are still in the rebuilding phase, but they currently hold the last playoff spot. Led by their forwards Captain Nugget Jr @Captain nugget and CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx, the Wild are currently doing well enough to stay in the hunt and could potentially give teams some trouble in the home stretch of the season. In the net, rookie Toby Bob @Baby Boomer is doing well in his first season as he is now 6th in the league with a save percentage of 0.918. #9 Philadelphia Reapers Prediction at the beginning of the season : 10th The Philadelphia Reapers are doing a little bit better than I expected in my early season predictions as they are currently 9th in the standings with a record of 20 wins, 36 losses, and 4 losses in overtime for a total of 44 points in 60 games. Offensively, Jacob Seed @oilmandan is leading the team with 17 goals, 43 assists, for 60 points in 60 games so far in Season 97. #10 Mississauga Hounds Prediction at the beginning of the season : 7th The Mississauga Hounds are the team that is underperforming most based on my earlier predictions. Indeed, I thought that the Hounds were going to at least be in a playoff position at this stage of the season, but after winning the Founder's Cup last season and losing a lot of key players, the Hounds are going to be in a rebuild, more than likely for multiple seasons. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good end of the season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!

VSN Presents: S97 VHLM Season Preview
Baby Boomer replied to Baby Boomer's topic in VSN - Victory Sports News
I was waiting for your comment lol -
@LucyXpher Welcome everyone, I know that the season is already underway, and I can already feel that this is going to be a really exciting season. Indeed, doing the prediction of the rankings was pretty hard because a lot of teams are pretty similar overall. I am really excited for this season, but before we can really start, here is the S97 VHLM Season Preview. #1 San Diego Marlins Offense rank: 2nd Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: 5th The San Diego Marlins are the perfect example of a mix between great veterans, such as Jean-Pierre Devote @eagle_3450 and Blaze Thunderstrike @eaglesfan036, and promising rookies such as Zak Tropper @Peace and Cardinal Copia @Beketov, that will eventually become stars on the team. The Marlins can also count on Ricky LaFleur @DarkSpyro in the net to keep them in the game each night. The San Diego Marlins finished seventh in the league last season, but this season I really don't see them finishing outside the top 3. #2 Miami Marauders Offense rank: 3rd Defense rank: 5th Goalie rank: 2nd On paper, the Miami Marauders are currently one of the best teams in the league and are looking pretty scary. Indeed, the Marauders have one of the best goalies in the league in Draw Mac @okochastar, who will start his 3rd and final season with the team before jumping to the VHL. On offense, Elf shoes @ELF_SH0ES, Luc Moreau @minman, and Jacob Longstreet @Dynamicmlb_42 are going to be the leaders of this team, and on defense, Dog Jagr @koty_kand Armas Jortikka @Kavadar will be the two generals. After finishing fourth last season, the Miami Marauders will probably look to improve their record a little bit and finish in the top 3. #3 Houston Bulls Offense rank: 4th Defense rank: 3rd Goalie rank: 3rd After finishing eighth in the standings last season, the Houston Bulls will also try to finish in the top 3 this season and make a push in the playoffs. Led by Bartholomew Lorequavius @jaypc8237 in the net, and Alex LeBlanc @Psanchez55 and Feka Ohi Kau @Hacob on defense, the Bulls are going to be really good in their own zone. The only little thing we can find that could hurt Houston is the lack of first line forwards. Indeed, except Cash Carti @v.2 , the American team will maybe find it difficult to score goals against teams with good defense or good goaltending. #4 Las Vegas Aces Offense rank: 7th Defense rank: T-1st Goalie rank: 4th With the best defense in the league, composed of Kazuma Satou @Spartan , Albin Aldgard @animal74, Mathias Gunnarsson @ThatCanadian, and Manuel Ceson @dylanjj37, and one of the best goalies in the league in Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun @TenIQ, it will be really difficult to score against the Las Vegas Aces. The only reason I don't think they will finish in the top 3 this season is because of their offense. When you look at their roster, you don't really see any super stars that can carry a team offensively on their shoulders. However, there are still players like Danny Ross @Spartakiller2 and Raoul Cyr @Tyler that can help the team offensively. #5 Halifax 21st Offense rank: 1st Defense rank: 7th Goalie rank: 6th After an unexpected good season in S96, the Halifax 21st will probably look to be competitive again this season as they currently have the best offense in the league. The forwards are led by Inker Belle @WildfireMicro, Ty Duke @TheDuke, and Pelayo Bolivar @SMYLS4 who will have the task to carry their team this season. I don't see the 21st finishing much higher than this because of their defense and goalie. Indeed, they have a pretty young defense and I think it will hurt them a little bit this season, so if they can add some experience on the blue line, the team will start to look really scary. #6 Ottawa Lynx Offense rank: 6th Defense rank: 10th Goalie rank: 1st After losing in the final of the Founder's Cup, the Ottawa Lynx lost a couple of key players and are going to enter a rebuilding phase this season. Even though the Lynx can count on the best goalie of the league in Vladimir Trunov @qripll, Ottawa's defense is really weak and inexperimented. They will have to rely on Joel Jakobs @Plate, Kyle Evans @Kyle Evans and Gingy @MexicanCow123 on offense to score goals and keep the team in the game. #7 Mississauga Hounds Offense rank: 5th Defense rank: 6th Goalie rank: 10th The Mississauga Hounds are a pretty enigmatic team as they have good forwards and solid defensemen, but a really young goalie that is still in development. Offensively, Filip Zinek @FiZi and Jay Sikes @JaySmacksss are the two forwards that can bring something to the table pretty much every game, and defensively, Kurt Bachmann @Blutch and Peter Venkman @Josh are going to be the two quarterbacks of the team. However, because of their really young goalie, I don't really see the Hounds finishing the season in the top 5 of the league. #8 Saskatoon Wild Offense rank: 9th Defense rank: 4th Goalie rank: 8th After a really difficult season in S96, the Saskatoon Wild will try to improve their record a little bit in S97, but I still don't see the team being really competitive this time around. Their goalie is still learning and is not ready to be a top goalie in the VHLM, and their forward core lacks a couple of players to be really dangerous. On the other hand, Saskatoon has one of the best defensive lineups in the league, led by Brigitta Sandstorm @Acydburn and Mikko Tuomala @flyersfan345 and it could win them some games this season. #9 Mexico City Kings Offense rank: 8th Defense rank: 8th Goalie rank: 7th After finishing first of their conference, the Mexico City Kings lost in the first round of the S96 playoffs and also lost a couple of star players to the VHL in the off-season. This means that we are probaby going to see a rebuilding team in Mexico City in S97. With a really young forward core and a young and promising goalie in Pepe Silvia @STZ, the Mexico City Kings could be really dangerous next season if they continue to improve. #10 Philadelphia Reapers Offense rank: 10th Defense rank: 9th Goalie rank: 9th After winning the Prime Minister's Cup and losing to the VHLM playoff champions in the semi-final of S96, the Philadelphia Reapers lost a lot of key players in the off-season and will, without a doubt, be looking to rebuild. The team can still count on some pretty good young players in Jacob Seed @oilmandan and Bazooka Joe @ScottyP to perform well and maybe help the team be competitive next season. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading. I wish you all a good season and I'll see you in another VSN article soon!
