  1. Welcome everyone, The regular season ended a couple of days ago, so it means that it is now PLAYOFFS TIME!! Indeed, the playoffs started Friday and this post-season will be really exciting as only four points separated the top three teams during the regular season. Semi-final #1 – Oslo Storm (1) vs Stockholm Vikings (4) Regular season series: OSL wins 9-3-0. This series is probably the easiest to predict since there is clearly a better team on paper and on the ice. Indeed, Oslo finished the season with a record of 49 wins, 20 losses and 3 overtime losses for a total of 101 points in 72 games and Stockholm with 29 wins, 38 losses and 5 overtime losses for 63 points and 20 fewer wins than Oslo. Plus, Oslo will count on three of the four best players of the regular season in Wayne Gretzky @MubbleFubbles, Antonia Bucatini @CowboyinAmerica and Jussi Jokinenegg @HearnNation67 who ended up with 89, 87 and 83 points respectively. They also have two of the six highest scoring defensemen in the league with Benjamin Abenduct @Schnee (75) and Swinsola @Swinsola(71). If Stockholm wants to have a chance in this series to win even a single game, they will need the help of the sixth highest scorer of the league and the best defenseman in the league, Marty Byrd @Marty B, to play on top of his head during the entire series. Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen @Snussu will also be an important piece for the Sweden team in this series. VSN Prediction: Oslo wins in 5 games. Semi-final #2 – Cologne Express (2) vs Vasteras Iron Eagles (3) Regular season series: COL wins 7-6-0. The Cologne Express finished the regular season with a record of 48 wins, 20 losses and 4 losses in overtime for a total of 100 points in 72 games and the Vasteras Iron Eagles with 46 wins, 21 losses and 5 overtime losses for 97 points in 72 games. As you can see, both teams finished the regular season with really similar stats. The big difference between the two teams is that Cologne is more an offensive team and Vasteras is more a defensive team. Indeed, Cologne have three players with more than a point per game in BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10, Alexandros Mograine @sliceruser and Tyrece the beast @beanhead420, against only one (Gianfranco Del Rocco @Victor) for Vasteras. On the other hand, Vasteras have four players with more than a hundred hits and a hundred shots blocked (Lucy Leitner @LucyXpher, Winston Dixon jr @Rjdixon01, Sunseth Moth @McWolf and Hezeus Ohmontegue-Steinhardt X @Sisyphus) against only one for Cologne (Scrungle Bungle @Novanod). Finally, both teams can count on great goaltender in Clark @cl4rk for Cologne and Ondrej Vencko @Mutti for Vasteras. When you look at it, you can see two pretty different teams with similar record, so everything will be decided on the ice. VSN Prediction: Cologne wins in 7 games. Final – Oslo Storm (1) vs Cologne Express (2) Regular season series: OSL wins 8-7-1. This is going to be a really excting final, but it is also an almost impossible one to predict. Indeed, only one point is separating the two teams in the standings, Oslo (61) have a better goal differential of only two goals and both teams won eight games against each other in the regular season. You can see that it is really tight between the two teams, so everything can happen. However, even if it is really close, Oslo wins in every category, so this is why I give a little edge to Oslo. VSN Prediction: Oslo wins in 7 games. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all good playoffs and see you in another VSN article!
  2. 1. I think we can do it, but the real objective is to end the season with a win and the Renaissance Cup. 2. It will be very tough to score more than 279 goals this season, but it would be really nice to reach 280 goals. 3. I believe we are going to have to wait a long time before seeing either of them, but we are going to wee a 100-assist scorer before. 4. White or black, I don't see any other color that would look good on the jersey. 5. He will have to have a really good end of the season, but I think he can end up with 50 goals flush. 6. Boston vs Toronto is going to be a really fun matchup and even if I will watch the game anyway I think that the Rangers will eat the Capitals alive.
  3. Welcome to Rome @lilchrist and @The goat of hockey and good luck in Cologne @MSouthworth, it was a pleasure having you in the locker room. Here is the link to to the locker room for the new Gladiators: https://discord.gg/MuSAKCzR
  4. https://discord.gg/X5AyfbMT No problem, welcome to the team!!
  5. Welcome everyone, After yesterday’s simulation, we are now halfway through the season, and I think it is a good time to look at the standings of the VHLE. We are going to take a look at the predictions made at the beginning of the season about the overall ranking and the rankings of the forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders of each team. #1 Cologne Express (Beginning of the season: 1st) Current record: 36GP – 27W – 6L – 3OTL – 57PTS Offense rank now: 2nd (Beginning of the season: 2nd) Defense rank now: 1st (Beginning of the season: 2nd) Goalie rank now: 1st (Beginning of the season: 1st) My predictions are starting well with Cologne at the top almost everywhere. With the help of forwards like BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 and Alexandros Mograine @sliceruser, that have 47 and 41 points respectively, Cologne’s offense is really good, but just a little less than Oslo’s. BjorkaBjorn is tied in third place for the number of points in the league and is also tied in first place for the number of goals. At the blue line, the Express are a little bit better than expected thanks to Joseph Dubois @Dubois and Scrungle Bungle. @Novanod In the net, Clark @cl4rk is still at the top of the league and is one of the reasons why Cologne has the best defense in the league this season. #2 Vasteras Iron Eagles (Beginning of the season: 3rd) Current record: 36GP – 22W – 10L – 4OTL – 48PTS Offense rank now: 3rd (Beginning of the season: 3rd) Defense rank now: 2nd (Beginning of the season: 1st) Goalie rank now: 2nd (Beginning of the season: 3rd) After only one season off, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are back at the top of the league, and they are even doing better than expected as they are currently second in the standings. When you look at their offense, you can’t compare it to the forwards core of Oslo or Cologne, but it is still a pretty good one, carried by the Italian player, Gianfranco Del Rocco @Victor. Even if their defense is currently ranked second, they are really not far off Cologne’s defense. With the help of Lucy Leitner @LucyXpher and Sunset Moth @McWolf, they have the same number of goals against (77) as the Express Cologne. Finally, the two goalies, Ondrej Vencko @Mutti and Jorgen Lovstrom @Pifferfish, have almost the same stats and are both doing pretty well. #3 Oslo Storm (Beginning of the season: 2nd) Current record: 36GP – 20W – 15L – 1OTL – 51PTS Offense rank now: 1st (Beginning of the season: 1st) Defense rank now: 3rd (Beginning of the season: 3rd) Goalie rank now: 5th (Beginning of the season: 2nd) Just like predicted, Oslo’s offense is doing really well as Wayne Gretzky @MubbleFubbles is leading the league in points with 50 points in 36 games and he is also third in the league for the number of goals (21) with his teammates Antonia Bucatini @CowboyinAmerica. Just like Vasteras offense, you can’t compare Oslo’s defence to the top two team in the league, but it is still very good. Swinsola @Swinsola and Benjamin Abenduct @Schnee are leading the team at this position. The only thing that is holding back the Oslo Storm from the top two teams is their goaltender. They are not doing bad, but with better stats, they could help the team reach the top two teams. #4 Stockholm Vikings (Beginning of the season: 5th) Current record: 36GP – 14W – 17L – 5OTL – 33PTS Offense rank now: 6th (Beginning of the season: T-4th) Defense rank now: 4th (Beginning of the season: 5th) Goalie rank now: 3rd (Beginning of the season: 5th) The Stockholm Vikings had a really good start to the season but are having some difficulties recently. Indeed, their offense is really close to the offenses of the Rome Gladiators and the Bratislava Watchmen but is still ranked last in the league. Their best scorer is a defenseman, it is Marty Byrd @Marty B and he has a record of 13 goals and 30 assists for a total of 43 points in 36 games. The real star of the team is their goaltender, Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen @Snussu. Indeed, Aleksanteri has the best save percentage in the league with 0.943%. The Vikings goalie is ranked 3rd in the league, but he is really not far behind the other ones. #5 Rome Gladiators (Beginning of the season: 4th) Current record: 36GP – 12W – 17L – 7OTL – 31PTS Offense rank now: 4th (Beginning of the season: T-4th) Defense rank now: 5th (Beginning of the season: 4th) Goalie rank now: 4th (Beginning of the season: 4th) The Rome Gladiators are currently fifth in the league, but only two points behind the Stockholm Vikings. Led by Nathan Ecker @Nathan_8, who is second in the league for the number of points (48) and tied in first place for the number of goals (22), Rome’s offense is doing really good, and they are almost competing with the top teams in this category. Defensively, the three defensemen of the team are in the top ten of the league for the number of shots blocked. Gul Dukat @MSouthworthis also third in the league for the number of points (47) and is leading the league in the assists category with 36. Finally, Olafur Gunnleifson @JartY is doing good in the net without doing anything extraordinary. #6 Bratislava Watchmen (Beginning of the season: 6th) Current record: 36GP – 13W – 22L – 1OTL – 28PTS Offense rank now: 6th (Beginning of the season: 6th) Defense rank now: 6th (Beginning of the season: 6th) Goalie rank now: 6th (Beginning of the season: 6th) The Bratislava Watchmen are exactly where they are supposed to be. The Watchmen lost a lot of players after their incredible playoffs run last season, so now they almost have an empty roster. However, the Bratislava can still count on good players like, Forum Content @frescoelmo, Luke Glendenning @ColeMrtz, Aeschylus Jigglejawns CXXXVII II @.sniffuM and Tobias Weiss @jfaly. In the net, Devon Giguere @omnisciusis doing pretty good, but with the lack of real players, it is really difficult to have good stats. It is a really difficult season for the Bratislava Watchmen, but it is a phase that every team has to go through after going all-in. I still believe that the team will bounce back and be competitive in a couple of seasons. P.S. A lot of things can happen in half a season, so everything is still possible. All the team can still make the playoffs and with the trade deadline that will happen very soon. We are going to see a really interesting end of the season. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all a good end of the season and see you in another VSN article for the S93 VHLE playoffs preview.
  6. @Zetterberg Welcome everyone, The S93 VHLE regular season is already underway, and we can say that once again it will be a really interesting one. Indeed, the Cologne Express, the Oslo Storm and the Vasteras Iron Eagles are all going to fight for the first place in the standings. I made my predictions, but all three teams can finish the regular season at the top of the league. #1 Cologne Express Offense rank: 2nd Defense rank: 2nd Goalie rank: 1st Once again, the Cologne Express are a good team, and they will finish at the top of the standings. In the net, Clark @cl4rk is back for a fourth season with the Express and will again be an important player for the German team. At the blue line, Joseph Dubois @Dubois and Scrungle Bungle @Novanod are also coming back to help their British goalkeeper. Scoring goals have not been an issue for Cologne for a long time and this season is not going to be different with the help of forwards like BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10, Baby Moo Moo @Elvis and Alexandros Mograine @sliceruser. #2 Oslo Storm Offense rank: 1st Defense rank: 3rd Goalie rank: 2nd Finally, the Oslo Storm have a team that we can expect will compete and maybe even make the playoffs. They did not make the playoffs since S89 and they finished last of the league in the last three seasons, but with forwards like Jussi Jokinenegg @HearnNation67, Antonia Bucatini @CowboyinAmerica and Olumide Anderson @Theory, the Storm is in great hands. You can also add the names of Benjamin Abenduct @Schnee, kodie Curran @Battlepopcorn and David Slezak @ShawnGlade to the list of players that will have an important role this season with Oslo. #3 Vasteras Iron Eagles Offense rank: 3rd Defense rank: 1st Goalie rank: 3rd After one bad season, the Vasteras Iron Eagles are already back on top of the league, thanks to the newly acquisitions, Sunset Moth @McWolf, Gianfranco Del Rocco @Victor and Lucy Leitner @LucyXpher. At the beginning of his fourth season with Vasteras, you can once again add the name of Winston Dixon jr @Rjdixon01 to the players that are going to lead the team this season. #4 Rome Gladiators Offense rank: T-4th Defense rank: 4th Goalie rank: 4th The Rome Gladiators are continuing their rebuild and are again going to struggle against the top teams of the league. However, with the help of rookies drafted in the S93 VHLE Entry draft like Nathan Ecker @Nathan_8, Gul Dukat @MSouthworth and Vanuza Kolesinska @chikn, the Rome Gladiators can cause some surpises this season. The Gladiators are a very young team and could be really dangerous in the next couple of seasons. #5 Stockholm Vikings Offense rank: T-4th Defense rank: 5th Goalie rank: 5th When you look at the roster of the Stockholm Vikings, it is almost exactly like the one of the Rome Gladiators. Some young players that are going to be good for a couple of seasons like WWumbo @Fire Tortorella, Wayne Shotzky @Kenamatic and Aleksanteri Kaskiniemi-Kekkonen @Snussu. And, they have veterans that can lead the team like Nico Belique @Syzygy, Dan jr @Danzo and Joseph Jec @Joseph Jec. #6 Bratislava Watchmen Offense rank: 6th Defense rank: 6th Goalie rank: 6th I would like to start by congratulating the S92 Bratislava Watchmen for their S92 Renaissance Cup. However, after last season, all, but three players, left the team. So, this season is going to be really difficult for the Watchmen, but they can still count on players like Luke Glendenning @ColeMrtz and Joe Shmo @matt sovick. P.S. Like I said at the beginning of the article, there are a lot of similar team in the league this season, so almost everything can happen and I think it is really exciting. That’s all for me, thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all a good season and see you in another VSN article!

  12. 4. I would love to have at least a point per game for the first time in my career. 5. I think we have a better team than last season, so I believe we can reach the 90 points. 6. There are a lot of destinations I would like to visit, but since I love history, I would go to Italy or Germany
  13. WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!!!!! I am back for the third World Cup in a row with team Canada and once again, a gold medal is the only possible ending! 19. @v.2 Welcome everyone, We are back for another article of the VSN and this time, we are going to look at the first dynasty of the history of the VHLE. We saw some great dynasty since the creation of the league, the Oslo Storm between S85 and S88, the current Cologne Express since S87, but now we are going to see once again the journey of the very first dynasty of the VHLE, the S80 to S82 Rome Gladiators. During this period of time, the Gladiators made it to the final three times in a row and won the Renaissance Cup in S82. First VHLE Entry Draft Everything started in S80 with the first VHLE Entry Draft, where each team chose their first players that would decide the destiny of their franchise. When you look at the selections of the Rome Gladiators and how much they performed in the following season, you can say that the GM at the time, InstantRockstar, made some pretty good decisions. Indeed, in the first seven rounds, the GM selected Otto Numminen (8th), Baby Bob (17th) Hari Singh Nalwa (20th), Tobias Reinhart (29th), Gabby Dungan (32nd) and Flynn Remy (41st) that would all be really good players for the Gladiators in S80 and even S81 for some of them. He then selected players like Deke Rike (44th), Ben Aky (43rd), Tyler Steel (56th), Russel Dixon (65th) and Luke Spinelli (68th) in the following rounds that would all play for the Rome Gladiators from S80 to S82 and win the Renaissance Cup in S82. S80 In S80, the Rome Gladiators finished second in regular season in a really tight run for a playoff spot, as only five points separated the second and fifth place in the standings. Indeed, the Rome Gladiators finished the season with a record of 36 wins, 28 losses and 8 losses in overtime for a total of 80 points in 72 games and the Cologne Express with 36 wins, 33 losses and 3 losses in overtime for a total of 75 points, only one point short of a playoff spot. The good season of the Rome Gladiators happened, because of the good performances of some key players. Indeed, Tobias Reinhart won the trophy for the best goalie in the league, that would later on be named after Orion D H Chiester IX. On the offensive side, Otto Numminen finished 3rd in the league for the number of points and Baby Bob finished 3rd in goals. In the playoffs, the Rome Gladiators faced the 3rd team in the standings, the Bratislava Watchmen. Before the series started, it was supposed to be a really even one as only one point separated the two teams in the regular season, but the Gladiators completely destroyed the Watchmen in only four little games to advance to the final. In the other semi-final, the Vasteras Iron Eagles upset the winners of the regular season to follow the Italian team in the final. Everything was going as planned for Rome as they led the final 3-1 after four games, but Vasteras won the next three games to win the first ever Renaissance Cup. S81 Once again, in the S81 VHLE Entry Draft, InstantRockstar made some really good draft decisions. In the first and second round, the GM drafted Biggie Cheese (7th) and Robert Wilk (17th), two players that would help the team a lot in S81. Then, in the third round (27th), he drafted the goalie that would help the team win the Cup in S82, Boris Tsezar. S81 was in a way really different than S80 as there were now eight teams in the league after the arrival of the Oslo Storm and the Yukon Rush. However, if you take away the bottom three teams, the standing is really tight, as only eight points separate the first place from the fifth place. This time, the Rome Gladiators took the last spot for the playoffs with a record of 43 wins, 23 losses and 6 losses in overtime for a total of 92 points in 72 games, only one more point than the Bratislava Watchmen who did not make the playoffs. Eight of the thirteen players that played for the Rome Gladiators in the regular season finished with at least a point per game and three of the four best players were defenseman. Indeed, Flynn Remy finished the regular with 93 points in 72 games, Biggie Cheese with 91 points in 72 games and Milk Jugs with 88 in 60 games. The winners of the regular season, the Istanbul Red Wolves were the first opponents of the Rome Gladiators in the playoffs, and it was going to be an easy series. Rome took the lead 3-1 in the series, but they saw Istanbul tie the series by winning the next two games to make the series even 3-3. Then, Flynn Remy in the second overtime of the seventh game scored his third goal of the game to complete his hat trick, and to win the series. The Rome Gladiators were now going to play against the Stockholm Vikings in the final of the Renaissance Cup. However, the Gladiators were no match against the Vikings and lost the final series in only four little games. S82 Before the start of the draft, InstantRockstar, the GM of the Rome Gladiators traded to the Cologne Express their S82 1st and 4th round picks for Arthur Kimura and X Man, two players that will contribute a lot to the victory of the Renaissance Cup. In the draft, the GM drafted DB III, that would become an important piece in the conquest of the Renaissance Cup, in the second round, 13th overall. The Rome Gladiators completed another trade at the start of the regular season with the Istanbul Red Wolves. Rome received the defensemen Drakon Zabastovka in exchange for their S83 1st and 4th round picks. At the trade deadline, the Rome Gladiators made two trades to acquire the forward Raihan Heavems and the defensemen Matty Live. The Gladiators finished third in the league and first in their conference with a record of 45 wins, 21 losses and 6 losses in overtime for a total of 96 points in 72 games. Pekko Viitanen led the team in scoring with 97 points in 72 games and Artair McCloud won the trophy for the best defensemen of the regular season with 91 points in 72 games. In the first round of the playoffs, the Rome Gladiators crossed swords with the Bratislava Watchmen and only needed five games to defeat the Slovak team. In the final, the Gladiators started the series on the wrong foot with three losses in a row against the Cologne Express. However, Rome turned it around and won the next four games to complete the reverse sweep and won their first Renaissance Cup. Thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all a good off-season and see you in another VSN article!
  20. 3. I have to go with Jimi Jaks, he has 21 points in 15 games and he is leading the team in assists and points. 4. Sadly we are not going to make it to the final, but it would have been nice to play against Helsinki once again. 5. I always dress in the same order and I always listen to the same music.
  21. Welcome everyone, We now entering the best part of the season, THE PLAYOFFS!!! After a really entertaining regular season and a race for the last playoff spot at the end of the season between Rome, Vasteras, and Oslo, we are ready to start the real thing. After winning the last three Renaissance Cup, are the Cologne Express going to be able to defend their title and win a fourth Cup in a row and a fifth Cup in the last six seasons? I guess we are about to find out. Semi-final #1 – Cologne Express (1) vs Rome Gladiators (4) Regular season series: COL wins season series 10-6-1. It does not look like the dynasty of the Cologne Express is about to end and even with a good second half of the season, I am pretty sure that it is not the Rome Gladiators that will stop it. If you look at both team on paper, the Cologne has a better offense thanks to players like Anthony Simmons @Starchychaff, Theo Allard @InstantRockstar, and George Richmond @badcolethetitan. However, Rome can still count on the two highest scoring players of the league in the regular season in BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 and LeBen Aky @Ben_Reformed. Just like with the offense, the defense of the Cologne Express is superior to the one of the Rome Gladiators. Indeed, defensemen like Jordan Bennett @Plate and Joseph Dubois @Dubois are a big help for the Express. In the net, the Cologne Express have once again one of the best goalies in the league in Clark @cl4rk and we know that Clark is even better in the playoffs as he won the last two Florida Man Trophy who is awarded to the most valuable player in the playoffs. In conclusion, the Cologne Express are just too good for the Rome Gladiators, but I still think that they can win a game or two. My prediction: Cologne wins in 5 games Semi-final #2 – Bratislava Watchmen (2) vs Stockholm Vikings (3) Regular season series: BRA wins season series 8-6-1. This semi-final is a little bit different from the other one as the two teams are looking similar on paper. Indeed, the top three forwards of the Watchmen in the regular season (Chris Sanzone @handfullofbubba, Kimi Raikkonen @mattyIceman and Mikko Borisyuk @Minebro) have similar stats to the top three forwards of the Vikings (Riley Martin @Smarch, Alexandre Crosby @hockeyis66 and Isaac mclflopper @sportexperts show) as they have a total of points of 219 and 228 points respectively. It is the same thing with the defensemen with Darko Alexander Malkovich @AColdCanadian and Vlad Von Carstein @Dom for Bratislava and Guntis Gavilrovs @Girts and Hannibal Barca @DreMin15 for Stockholm. In the net, Pipo Popa @npuBeT and Giorgiy Costanzov @Mongoose87 also have similar stats. However, when you look at their team stats in the regular season, the Bratislava Watchmen had a way better season than the Stockholm Vikings. Indeed, Bratislava finished the regular season with a record of 47 wins, 22 losses and 3 losses in overtime for a total of 97 points in 72 games and Stockholm with 35 wins, 31 losses and 6 losses in overtime for 76 points in 72 games. So, it is difficult to predict this series, but I still think that I must go with the Bratislava Watchmen. My prediction: Bratislava wins in 6 games. Final – Cologne Express (1) vs Bratislava Watchmen (2) Regular season series: season series is tied with a record of 6-5-1 each. This series is going to be really tight, and it could honestly go either way. Indeed, when you look at the rosters of the two teams, you can see that they are almost identical, so if a team can end the sequence of the Cologne Express, it is the Bratislava Watchmen. However, when you look at what Cologne did in the last five seasons, it becomes really difficult to go against them in the playoffs. My prediction: Cologne wins the Renaissance Cup in 7 games. Thanks everyone for reading, I wish you all good luck in the playoffs and see you in another VSN article.
