  1. Hence slowed development Plus you were doing PTs before dec, looks like you collecting welfare now. That's all I based it on.
  2. You've only updated 20tpe since Dec.
  3. I thought morale has no affect on our sim since it was turned way down?
  4. I chose to do that top line so I could give you guys the line name. The MR.R line. Mr. Riga line? At least thats what my sleepless head had in mind this morning haha. Bash knows I love him too
  5. Reigning In the New Generation www.VHLHockeyNews.com Team chemistry is a mysterious thing, sometimes you think players should be able to work together but they really can’t. Then sometimes players randomly come together and just without reason, do well together. Riga has recently enjoyed the luxury of having an entire trio of players come together in short time and perform extremely well given the circumstances. The trio of Robin Gow, Robert Gow III and Brennan McQueen has provided Riga fans with a bright light towards the future. Dubbed affectionately the MR. R line, the three youngsters represent a major part of the Reign’s future going forward. Robin Gow – Center Arguably the core of the line and face of the franchise, Robin Gow entered the season and accepted the challenge of being the teams first line center without so much as a complaint. An excellent skater, Gow is a pass first playmaking forward. He is good in faceoff dot, evident with his 49.87% in over 2500 draws in his rookie season. He lead the team in assists with 46, and was a strong presence in all three zones of the ice. It may not look like it on the stats sheet, but many pundits and most of us at VHLHockeyNews believe that he is and will continue to be the key player for the Riga franchise going forward. Two way centers of his capabilities are highly coveted by general managers as they can be relied upon in all situations and as we’ve seen, Robin has progressed the furthest in his game through the year and has displayed flashes of brilliance at times that are only seen in hall of fame players. Gow has endless potential and more than one scout has hinted that he has the ability to be recognized as a generational talent in the near future. Robert Gow III – Winger Lining up on the left side of Gow, is the other Gow. Robert Gow III or RGIII as he is more commonly known as, is a smooth skating winger that plays a well rounded game. He lead the Reign in points with 74 in 72 games and for most of the season was also the leading goal scorer as well before McQueen turned on the jets in the second half of the season. While RGIII isn’t the most physical player, he is fairly determined and can hold his own in all zones of play. While he may not have the highest potential of the three players on the line, he is smart enough to know where he needs to be most times and is a great complimentary winger on the line. Ideally Riga would like him to further develop into a top line player, but as it stands currently, RGIII has slowed down in his development a bit. Perhaps indication of him nearing his ceiling? Only time will tell. Brennan McQueen – Winger On the right side of the Gow is the hulking beast McQueen. He plays hard, hits hard and shoots hard. Previously recognized in our article as an upcoming star power forward, McQueen has certainly impressed in his rookie season. He lead the league in hits with 371 and lead all rookies and his own team in goals scored with 34. With a fiery temper that has been carefully coaxed by his GM/Coach, McQueen displays all the makings and qualities of a top tier power forward. Never one to back down from challenge, McQueen has at times been a one man wrecking crew, causing havoc in front of the net and in the corners where he does all the gritty work for the team. Between the three of them, the light is at the end of the tunnel it would seem for Riga. While the team will still expect some growing pains, Riga fans have nothing but optimism and hope to look forward to as they head into S37 bolstered by a GM that knows how to win.
  6. Well if you say it that way I don't have anything to debate. But you said best defensive forward which encompasses all other aspects of being a forward imo. Also faceoffs are generally counted as a defensive stat for forwards too. Though it's highly likely the only thing that triggered me to challenge you is the word unarguable. Or the other thing is you just laughing off other stats maybe that go against your absolute statement. Either way we raised public awareness your player which was my intention. Probably more people checked out your player stats and page today
  7. No, I said "if". But stars could be used, it's who the sim thinks plays the best after all.
  8. Pretty sure you're the only one saying they are invalid arguments in any case. There is no way that this is not debatable considering 5 hits is such a small margin. I mean you could use stars as a debate if you want. McQueen has 6-2-2 which has him as the best on the team as a skater. Mike Jr has 4-5-2 which to me has more value and I'd argue you were the teams best player. XXX Has 4-6-3 and I don't even think I'm the best on my own team. Connor low is 1-6-6 which is weaker in stars but he has significant stats in all categories to back him up. Wahl in my opinion is our team mvp and is roty candidate with low. I he has extremely good numbers for a first year rookie goalie and has a star line of 6-4-4. All these players would make a case for roty and mvp over McQueen. Not saying McQueen can't win it, I just think it's a tight race and definitely isn't a clear cut decision. Think you guys are misunderstanding when I say it's debatable vs because McQueen isn't good enough.
  9. Gwg more important than filler goals More importantly however the fact we are debating facts now proves my original point. Your statement was "unarguable", and I proved it was. I didn't actually claim who was better, I just said it was up for debate and here we are debating (kinda).
  10. Somewhere in all this I QQed getting passed over a VHLM spot again
  11. Nah I was 5 behind but I have more points and gwg and plus minus. Low is the no brainer though. I always seem to be beaten in roty by defensemen on my own team though. Walser, Raws dman, now Low lol.
  12. Ed Snider comments on giroux and team Canada.
  13. Hey Ed Snider, good to see you again! Pretty sure Low has it locked up though.

    I am Raw

    Respond with overwhelming force!
  15. Because as a forward your core duty still requires you to play as a forward. So offensive categories still apply. You can say best hitter though. Then it's a specialist category argument. Highest blocks as a forward is Hashtag Manning at 150. I'm also arguing because then it generates posts and views and people will see your accomplishments when they come check what going on in the thread. Win win situation
  16. Recharge and lurk like what I did!
  17. "Brennan McQueen was unarguably the best defensive forward in the entire league. " That's the statement I'm fighting against Plus minus works fine if you consider it relative to the rest of your team. There also isn't any line matching in the sim, it's totally random who u play against according to SimonT. Though the probably depends on how the other team sets their time on ice percentages. Whereas McQueen is 2nd last on his team and I'm 4th highest (including Toriyami) I'd be interested in seeing corsi ratings but I think that's only available in version 2 of the sim or something. Im a big fan of your player build and McQueen, so don't get me wrong, I'm not saying aren't a great defensive forward. But XXX is your rival, and I'm not backing down an inch
  18. The sim counts hits when you have the puck so it essentially means turnovers or possible turnovers. Points would be for your two way forward argument which you put in for yourself as well. But the plus minus rating works heavily against you if we're just arguing defensive stats. I'm not letting you take the title of best defensive or two way forward easily or "unarguably".
  19. Not so fast bash bro! I'm against you and I'm going to make it a debate I got 5 less hits but 9 more points. Your -59 to my +12 Your 216 turnovers to my 133. My 6 gwg to your 2. You had 166 PK minutes to my 195.
  20. U stay and you may not put up big numbers, but you will get shots at championship titles cause that's what I do
  21. I now reclaim my throne as THE ASIAN!
  22. Just noticed your Avy is the scout from Tears of the Sun This idea would probably make more sense if we have a service standard of PT grading of less than a week more likely. Personally I know a few threads that I could've commented on that were locked and its where I was thinking about it.
  23. Right and getting bumped sucks for the person that posted too at times so I don't know if that affects the lack of conversation at times.
  24. Sometimes with PTs and Media spots we get good discussion going and people are posting heavily, on one side thats great for us to chatter, the downside is that the player doesn't get their thread marked or closed because they want the discussion to continue. Perhaps we can make a subforum where graded PTs can go into that are marked but not locked and we can continue chatter in them? Maybe a thread has to accrue like 10+ posts in order to be moved into there or something. It really is a shame to cut off some conversations on good Pts I find.
