What a series. MubbleFubbles, in an interview with the VHLM Magazine, said it best "[we'll] be able to make a strong push come playoffs" and he wasn't lying. The Aces came into the series as a severe underdog, but ended up taking it to game 7! It has been one for the ages, every game a battle, and this last game didn't disappoint. After a hard-fought first period, where the Aces went to intermission with a 1-0 lead, the Reapers flipped the switch, found themselves, forced the Aces to make mistakes, and finished the period with 4 goals scored. We went to the second intermission with a 4-1 result, and from this point on Philadelphia did what was expected from them and didn't let go. This series MVP hypothetical award goes to Lando Wolanin, who came to Aces during the trade deadline - and what a trade that was! But in the end, Philadelphia goes on with a major contribution of two defensive players, Jarno Lappi and Siyan Yasilievich. Not only did they lead Philly to victory today, but during the series. My fiancée and I are planning a small trip for the first time since Covid hit. We're driving to Madrid for a weekend soon but will try to fly to Paris for a week this summer.

Leandro Goncalves, the Portuguese Wonder. He entered the league with high expectations, not by the league itself, but by himself. Now, we're entering the playoffs. A rookie season has gone and one trade after, Leandro's playing for the Mexico City Kings. He's found his place and the Kings have been using him the right way. A Center controlling the pace of play in the second line, while having a great impact in Special Teams. Although this shouldn't be a focal point at the moment, Leandro is near an important decision. His level of improvement has put him as a top player in the VHLM as we enter the playoffs, but gave him a task for the future. 200 TPA. The threshold. The mating call from the VHLE. His country calling back for him. Does he wish to go back to Europe so soon? That's what he'll have to think about in the upcoming weeks. In a press conference earlier this year, while still in the Hounds, Ente asked what the goal for the season was. 150 TPE was it, but that's long gone, and looking at what's still to come... let's say hello to the VHLE. *wink* *wink*
