1) Our mascot has gotta be a boat. I don't think any team has ever had a boat for a mascot, but we could make it work.

1) I love the community aspect in discord and the ability to see my player grow and thrive

5) I had a Spanish professor last semester who is probably my favorite prof I've ever had. The class was Latin American Literature, which should be very boring, but he just made the class so very interesting and he always went on huge rants and it was so fun to listen to. My Spanish also definitely improved a decent amount from that class.

1) I'm excited to beat the Houston Bulls to get revenge for last season's playoffs.

1) Hi all, I'm Jeremy, and I'm excited to be back in Halifax after last season! I'm looking forward to being on a team with you all and hopefully making a deep playoff run!
2) My player will keep training, of course, but will also be enjoying the end of the NHL season and beginning of the MLB season.
3) Based on how much my player has improved since the beginning of last season, I hope to be at least close to a point per game.

1) This was my first season, so I really enjoyed everything along the way. I am delighted with my playoff performance though, having 5 points in 5 games.
2) Yes! I am on the Warriors, but I have no idea how the tournament works or if it has even started yet.
3) As early in the week as possible to have the highest TPE for the week.
4) I honestly have not been following the playoffs since our elimination.
5) I am currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh, but I plan on moving to eastern Canada when I graduate and teach ESL, preferably to elementary school students, but adults are fine too.
6) I like the fall because it's colder and there's still baseball for 2/3 of it, and that is also when hockey starts.

Week Ending March 13th, 2022
1. In the last day of the regular season, the Halifax 21st clinched the last seed of playoffs! How did you player celebrate?
2. Speaking of playoffs, we will be facing the top seeded Houston Bulls in the first round. Do you have anything to say to these opponents before the series begins?

3) Artem Zub putting up 48 points in 72 games as a defenceman is fantastic! I sadly completely fell off in the last 10 games of the season, going from 28 points in 60 games to 28 points in 70 games... Hopefully I can fare better in the playoffs.
4) Start whoever ended the season the hottest, and just keep playing whoever is hotter.
5) When I was 7, I was on the top of a bunk bed, fell over the side, banged my face on the bottom bunk, and needed stitches right above my eye.

1. As if playing Philadelphia wasn't bad enough, now they have a velociraptor named Greg on their team. And our GM @samx made this happen! Supply a statement to her saying how disappointed you are with this decision.
2. At the time of this writing, there are 12 games remaining in the regular season. Are there any personal statistics you would like to reach before playoffs?

1) I really have absolutely no idea at all what this means, but if I should be disappointed, then I'm disappointed!
2) I want to get to 0.5 points per game at the bare minimum, as I am at 26 points in 60 games.
3) None of them are very good options, but the Wild don't really have a backup goalie, so I guess they'd be the best to play against.
4) I'm ranked 34, but right after that was posted, I got 8 more TPE, so I would've moved up 1 or 2 spots. I should definitely be able to break 30, but I would love to get to 25!
5) Chocolate and strawberry milk are god-tier drinks.

1) I've been a hockey fan for a few years, and I am rapidly learning as much history as I can, but it is still hard for me to make my dream team, but I will try my best. I started a Franchise Hockey Manager game as the 1970 Canucks, and I got to know and love some players through that. My goalie would definitely be Dominik Hasek, my defencemen would be Rob Blake and Doug Wilson, and my forwards would be Brendan Shanahan, Mike Modano, and Mike Bossy.
2) With how many draft picks we have, I am not sure if any moves are necessary, rather it might be best to just encourage everyone to rack up as much TPE as possible.

4) Likely not, I'm too busy to have a position and do it effectively.

Hey everyone! As the Recruitment Leader it is my job and the recruitment teams job to make sure we can acquire new members for the site, however looking at recruitment there are two major components.
1. Getting new members to register. (Recruitment)
2. Keeping them here so they feel like their initial start up and VHL ignorance will pay off at some point. (Retainment)
So with current Recruitment Drives and incentives out there for people to low up on TPE and in turn loading up our site with valuable members, it's time we take a look at steps to achieve the 2nd Component.
As of today, Any S61 Draftee (anyone in the upcoming VHL Draft) or newer player who is a First Generation player may claim 10 TPE upon reaching the 100 TPE plateau. The purpose of this TPE is to reward you for getting to a stage where TPE earning is mostly understood on a weekly basis. This is also available to returning members starting without carryover, who have not had a player in the league for at least 3 seasons.
As we know many new members create a player and fizzle out after a couple weeks for various reasons. Those reasons could be that they are frustrated with how to actually be successful, feel like their player doesn't make a dent in the sim engine or they strictly do not understand how to use resources around the site to earn TPE. This also works hand-in-hand with VHLM GM's who can instruct their players even more in hopes they can take advantage of the free 10 TPE at the 100 TPE plateau.
*The TPE can only be claimed after they get to 100 TPE, not to be claimed to make it to 100 TPE.
ex. (90 TPE doesnt make this claim valid)

1. After 15 games, every human skater on our roster has scored at least one point. How do you feel about your individual production so far?

1) I'm okay with my production, it would be nice to get my first goal, but I am generally fine with the number of assists I have.
2) I feel great about the amount of playing time I am receiving, I fully trust Sam with adjusting playing time as needed.

1) My first night in the city with my new team has passed, but it is never too late to go out for food and drinks and get to know everyone!
2) It's important to never take a loss against a top-tier team personally, we just have to keep going out and putting in the best effort possible daily.
3) I'm still very young and am just excited to get any chance I can to play! I'm just excited to be here and eventually help the team reach that ultimate goal.
4) The league and the concept are great, and I'm excited to explore everything VHL has to offer in the long term!
5) Milkshakes definitely, but I like occasionally drinking smoothies instead to feel healthy. Cookies and cream or mint milkshakes, and for smoothies, definitely mango.
