Extremely we currently have a great team, can definitely see us doing some damage in the play-offs this year.

Pre-season is always a bit boring as they shelter the star players and its more of a bottom 6 ahl mash up. Excited for the regular season to begin. Pittsburgh Penguins baby!

Sleeping 

4. Welcome to October! What is your favourite spooky season tradition?

Halloween of course, love the whole getting dressed up and partying.

Right now I'd have to say that our biggest rival has to be Saskatoon Wild

1. We've been on a bit of a surge this week, finally playing some new teams! Where do you think we'll end up in the standings?

The team has clearly been meshing really well together. Alongside that we've had really strong goal tending so I have to say we're here to make some noise. Play offs for sure!
2. We have just recently passed the halfway point of the season. How are you feeling about your player's performance at the halfway mark?

Since moving back to the Marlins I think I've really found my groove again and been able to put up points on a consistent basis. So really happy so far.
3. What is your favourite fish?

Nemo

4. Which VHLM team has the coolest colour scheme?

Marlins
5. Would you rather score a goal or 2 assists?

For me I'd rather score 2 assists, the feeling of a goal is great but it's all about the team.
6. You are all eligible for the upcoming VHL draft, what are your initial thoughts on where you might end up?

Honestly it's hard to say there are a lot of good players coming up but I think I'll definitely fall a bit later in the draft.

1. We had some tough losses this week. How are you feeling?

Had a tough schedule. We're still a rebuilding team so have to keep my head up high, 

2. When do you grab up your TPE? First thing Monday morning, last minute Sunday night, or somewhere in the middle?

Always in the evenings for me, I check-up everyday if there's something for me to do.

3. Next week is theme week! Any thoughts on what the theme might be???

Hot dogs.

It would have to be "everything is awesome" from the lego movie.

5. If the Marlins could get a sponsor, what company would you want it to be and why?

I think Marvel would be a pretty cool sponsor and make for some great collaborations.

Well it's two slices of bread with a filling in between so I'm on the side of yes it is a sandwhich.

1. "Week" 1 of the season is down. How are you feeling about your performance so far?

Having just moved back to the Marlins from Miami I've found my stride again putting up numbers night after night. Really enjoying my time here so far.

2. What's one thing you think you need to work on going into this week of games?

I think I need to work on my face offs keeping puck control would really help bag more goals for the team and help us win more games.

3. If we were to give a Starfish for the week, who do you think would deserve it and why?

There's so many good players on the Marlins it would be so difficult to pick one player but if I had to choose I'd go with Lachlan Summers he's been absolutely killing it so far this year.

4. Are you ready for summer to be over yet?

Yes, excited for the hockey season to get going.

5. Will you be running out to Starbucks for a pumpkin spice flavored whatever?

I will not.

6. How many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick?

At least 2, maybe even 3

1. Hello everyone! Welcome to the team! How has your first week been? (Hi Minion how was your week?)
 The first week playing for the San Diego Marlins has been fantastic, having an opportunity to play on the top lines has really given me chance to prove myself in the VHLM having been able to put up 15 points in 12 league games. Looking to make more improvements before we move into the S87 draft.

2. As I write this we need to catch up 9 points in 8 games on Saskatoon to make the playoffs. Do we do it?
 The rest of the season is definitely going to be a challenge but I'm confident that the signings the GM has made will give us the opportunity to contend for a spot. I have to point out Minions fantastic goal tending stats for this season so far, definitely a key contributor in getting us back into the play-off race.

3. As we approach the off-season, what else does your player like to do in their spare time?

This season has been a massive grind on and off the ice with strict dieting and training regimes. The off-season will be a great opportunity to take full advantage really boosting my abilities. In the time where I'm not training I generally spend it with friends and family, and of course I love a game of golf.

4. We have a lot of contenders, with at least 5 teams capable of winning the VHLM championship this season. Who are you placing your bets on?

I have to say that the Las Vegas Aces have had an extremely dominant performance in the regular season and will definitely be a force to be reckoned with. However, I'm not going to count the Marlins out with the additions made I think if we can squeak into the play-offs we should have a very competitive game and can hopefully take home some hardware this season.

5. With 8 games to go in the season, what is your goal for these last games to close out the season?

It's important to win, we're 9 points back so it's definitely achievable but will be a difficult task. So obviously putting up points is going to be the main target for me in our remaining games. However, I do want to work on my two-way game and be more responsible in the defensive zone.

6. What is your definition of a perfect weekend?

Hockey, Hockey and more Hockey. I truly love the sport and couldn't ask for a better job.
