I've read a few things posted that mention retention of users being an issue on many aspects of the site. I made sure to look around first before creating a player to see if this was something I would be interested investing time into so that I wasn't putting a team out if I joined. Hard enough to get waiver players to sign, so signing one that goes MIA would be frustrating. Drafting one would be even worse.

Was it posted by the @glassguy that was called out above? The mystery continues! I would love to find out the method used for that stitching. I have ways of achieving roughly the same look but they are pretty tedious. If there was a quicker way it would really up the detail in my 3D renders!

I think I may be putting in too much effort for my TPE.

1. We have been getting scored on quite a bit and since most of our players are goal focused, our back-check is likely lacking so bringing on a solid D-man should alleviate that for sure! The push starts now! 2. As far as I can tell, Leonard is doing alright! First player I've made and he currently isn't as focused on goals as the others but hopefully that playmaker role has room in the sims for a player not just trying to top out in goals but who loves to set up his teammates. 3. The Hounds? lol I am guessing the Reapers. It really is a toss up between them and the 21st but those OT losses might make the difference. Not winning those close ones add up. 4. Teamwork and being happy for someone else success. You don't always need to be seen as the best and you won't always be seen as the best. The spotlight will shine on someone else and as a good teammate, you celebrate with them. Their success is the teams success. Keep your ego in check. 5. Caramilk or Reese Peanut Butter Cups! 6. Leonard Triller doesn't believe in superstitions. Life makes unexpected turns and you need to be able to roll with the punches. If tying your right skate before your left causes you to have a bad game, you may be blaming the wrong thing and won't improve.

As a newer member to the VHL, I have noticed that unless you really dig into the forums to find the information on the point tasks or threads on player builds or even just how all of this works, quality posts aren't usually highlighted to make players want to be active. You can sort by most reactions and all that but I've noticed that just because it has reactions and replies doesn't mean it is good, just that the poster is more well known around the forums. Seeing that would lower the excitement to engage for newer players. This obviously doesn't include pinned topics which even still, are only found under their main forum. Even those that do point tasks with graphics or media spots are VERY likely to just post for the points and that is the extent of the engagement since they don't see much else from it. No reason to engage further or to even check out others posts. A weekly, community highlight would probably help to show some of the cool stuff that is created in the forums and might increase engagement. Highlight those that aren't just swimming in reputation already but show new players that they are part of a community rather than watching one. Not directly addressing the "bots" claim lol but something that may help show off the forums.

Working on a Saskatoon Wild Arena and decided to get the logo going in it.

+10 Leonard Triller

1. I feel like it's the Bulls. Can't seem to pass them in the standings and stay passed. 2. I think we need to recruit a couple new players to round out the team. I think we also need to play a more well-rounded game. When we get beat, we seem to let in a lot of goals so I think us forwards need to help out our D men more in our zone. 3. Biggest surprise I guess would be the battle for first in the west. Let's hope it continues! 4. I grew up near Saskatoon and watched the Blades play so it is like a homecoming. We feel like a scrappy team as well and I like a team with character. 5. Edmonton Oilers! I'm feeling the run this season! 6. Beach Volleyball. He loves the summer!

1. New here so I may be wrong but it looks like our goalie is pretty solid and our shot count is high! We have a pretty solid first line as well! 2. No rivalry yet for me personally. Hopefully after a few more games something starts to brew. 3. I am very happy with my player's performance so far. No goals yet but he is definitely hitting a playmakers stride with his assists. 4. I believe defense is most important as they are what can keep our goalie playing strong for more games. If the goalie gets tired or injured, it could be a huge loss for the team. 5. It is cliche but Wayne Gretzky for sure. Have always been an Oilers fan and though I was too young to watch him on the Oilers, he was a beauty. Nowadays, Connor McDavid hands down. 6. Just filling out the roster. Working on getting a full team or as close to one as possible. I will contribute however I can. Provide some cool new graphics that may entice new players to join.

I have gone with the Saskatoon Wild as my first team and the jersey creation is now complete! Not sure if the team likes the look but either way, I am happy to be a part of the team! Let me know what you think. All created in 3D and rendered out of the Unreal Engine.

#GetWild I would love to join the Saskatoon Wild! Underdogs or not, I went to the U of S so it would be like playing for my hometown team!
