Interview with the ex ottawa gm while he was the gm. I don't want to waste what I already did. What the Ottawa Lynx will be looking for in the draft next season. and what are the expectations? Can you tell me 5 players the Lynx are interested in? We are looking to gather the same type of players as we did this season, it's a recipe for success. The ingredients: Active, happy and a little bit of imagination. I think with returning players and some good picks we can compete, depending on how things go we could be a buyer or a seller so we can continue to build for future seasons. This changes a lot and since we may hold the #1 pick (draft lottery) I'm not giving any information out on this, it'll be a surprise! If the top 3 picks were taken, who would be your first? The top 4 pick. Honestly no clue like I said before but it's a high chance I take the most active player that will change the Ottawa franchise for the good, spending time with positive influences only boosts the rest of the team Do you think with the effort you are making, you can win the cup in s86? Yeah I think we can carry over momentum from this season like we did in seasons past and fight another goliath of a team until the very end Do you see a generational player making it big? Yeah we have a few of them on our team and they are huge to help stabilize a team that's just forming, obviously I encourage to earn the most but if it's fun for you to chill down in the minors an extra season why not? Hello this is Rick Sportsman here again with VHLM Hockey News Magazine, I have the Captain of the Houston Bulls here with me, Thomas Matthews. Hey Thomas, since last time we talked a lot of big things happened. You are now a captain. And your game has gotten more consistent. What are you doing differently? RS Hey Rick thanks for having me. I haven't changed anything and have stuck to my plan from day 1 which is my development. It has been my huge focus going forward. This is also a team game and my team mates and I usually stay after practice to help each other further our development. The Bulls locker room has a great atmosphere and we all get along great. TM Your first 4 games you only had one assist. Now, you have played 35 games with 33 points. Almost a point per game. What do you think was a factor in your progress? RS Well again, my development. But also giving the opportunity to play on the first line in the VHLM. My production has sky rocketed since I was able to have more ice time. I have specifically been developing my defense skills and since then I noticed a huge change in my game. I hope to be the player my team mates can rely on. My team mates and I have all worked hard to get to where we are now. TM So it looks like the Bulls will not make the playoffs, do you have any plans this offseason? RS I am going to work on my development of course but I am excited to play in the offseason tournaments and see what I can do in a different environment. It's a great opportunity for me, other GM's will take notice in this tournament for this years draft class and our abilities on and off the ice. My goal is just to continue producing the way I am and keep developing my weakest attributes. TM The draft is also coming up, any idea where you would like to be drafted to? RS Whoever drafts me will get a solid TPE earner. I only joined the league halfway through the season and my development has been consistent. I am a team player and am here to help my team mates if they need it. I don't have a favorite but I hear Rome is nice. TM Thanks again for being here Thomas Matthews, I am Rick Sportsman, Reporting. That is an awesome compliment. Thanks man. I respect that. but my point is that, it is possible. The possibilities are there for people to get that TPE.

that's not true. I joined halfway into the season and I am 160 TPE. hopefully will be around 200TPE before the season ends. and again I did it in half a season.

I don't think it's a good idea but what is a great idea, is have some kind of waiver order for the new creates so they all cant sign on one or two teams. What is going on is they sign on with the best chanced team together.

now when you put it this, way. I agree with this. But personally, I would have it that the recreates all go to teams like miss. to balance out the board instead of them all basically signing in mexico and going to win a cup. To have them all go to VHLE I disagree there but i like that it's a thought. When the recreates do join the league, It's an orchestrated plan that destroys the VHLM for new players. at least from my experience so far. Your ideas aren't horrible and I like that you are addressing things that us new players have a hard time saying. I was hoping one recreate would have joined my team but no, mainly mexico.

I am suggesting the VHL move the VHLM and VHLE to exist as two separate minor leagues: the VHLM for first generation players, the VHLE for recreates. great idea man! let's put someone like me, a first gen player who earns as much TPE as I can weekly, in a group of people who are inactive. way to get first gen players excited to play! (sarcasm)
