Wow. Just wow. If you ever feel up for it, a Ukraine-themed Shevchenko would probably make me ugly cry.

Rumor has it 2 of those minutes were for calling the ref's mother fat! Scandalous!

1 - Scoring 3 points per game 2 - Magic Arena is good and relatively mindless 3 - I've been wondering that myself and obviously hope balanced is the way to go 4 - Never saw Bourne, but if we're in a room, there's no way I'm not collateral damage 5 - Century mark in points 6 - Big Mack. What he's doing is more impressive IMO -
That's what I'm talking about!

Hello, friends. Not sure what we're going to talk about today, so here goes. I recently listened to the first Unsouled book by Will Wight. It was fine. I'm trying to expose myself to a couple of different litrpg books as I'm working on my first attempt to write in the genre. I found Unsouled to be aggressively okay. I just started the first Dungeon Crawler Carl book last night and I appreciate the humor and pop culture references, but the guy reading the audiobook sounds like Patrick Warburton, and it's really throwing me off. The VHL season cannot start soon enough. Not only am I anxious to see how my player does, of course, but I'm excited to see how the new line combinations work out in Toronto. Harry Callahan and Diego Machado retiring leaves a couple of massive offensive holes to fill, and I hope Shev can provide a healthy chunk of the solution. Randomly, I'll give a shoutout to some of my long time sim hockey friends in OrbitingDeath, BOOM, and Phil. All three of them have been consistently awesome for many years now, and I hope they know how much I appreciate them and their friendship.

As the offseason drags on - I know it hasn't been that long, but man does it feel like it - the Toronto Legion are chomping at the bit to get started. With four potential centers in their top six, including offseason acquisitions Raimo Tuominen and Spanish Moon Moth, who have historically been playing up the middle of the ice. Tuominen, who signed as a free agent with the Legion, has already said that this season will be his last. That said, both Dorji Khan and Konstyantyn Shevchenko have worked extensively during this offseason in not only learning the art of the face off, but also in improving their strength and defensive understanding. For Shevchenko, he's also become much more comfortable speaking English. "We know that Tuo and Moony are probably going to be centers 1 and 2 this year," Shevchenko said, "but it's good to be able to have some flexibility everywhere on the ice. If one of them is feeling wrong in a game, Khan or I can step in and fill that gap." Indeed, the biggest changes have all been amongst the forward ranks for the Legion. Promising winger Inker Belle is in line to make her VHL debut this season, bringing a surprisingly solid two-way game to the second line. Another newcomer is winger Toby Kadachi, a 6'6", 246 pound behemoth who has three straight 70+ point seasons under his belt, including a personal best 39 goal and 75 point affair for the Chicago Phoenix last season. As a side note, every time I write "Chicago Phoenix" I hate the name more than I did the time before. I mean, I get it - big fire in Chicago, city rose from the ashes, blah blah blah. But it's two different cities! You ever hear the expression, "Never trust a man with two first names"? Same thing. I wouldn't trust Robert Charles, and I don't trust Chicago Phoenix. But I digress. In net, the Legion will be running back their same duo as last season, with Toddly Bobbly backing up starter Dalkr Vidarsson. Both netminders are getting on the older side, but Toronto fans have to be hoping they have one good run left in them. For Vidarsson, his 40 wins last season marked his second-best career campaign, and his 6 shutouts tied with his previous best. On the blue line, Andrew Skilton returns after an 81 point campaign to lead the defensemen. DB IV, a 6'3" veteran who put up 61 points last season, is joined by other returning blueliners Gul Dukat and Walter Fitzroy Jr. Like Tuominen, Fitzroy is entering his final season before hanging up the skates for good. Ultimately, it's hard to predict just how well this iteration of the Toronto Legion will perform. Losing last season's leading scorer in Harry Callahan, along with fellow star center Diego Machado, is a tremendous blow. If Tuominen has one last push left in the tank, if Moon Moth can keep up his stellar numbers, this is the year for it, as the Legion faithful are accustomed to seeing a lot of scoring from the center ice position. Rumor has it Callahan now calls this place 'home'

Hello, friends. It's another week, another .com article where I go into it with no idea what I'm going to say. So buckle up and get ready for what will surely be an unforgettable experience. I started putting TPE into Faceoffs. I have the 3rd highest stat in that category on the team, so I don't know how good of a center I'd be, but Shev is tied for highest Defense rating with Raimo Tuominen. Strength is 3rd as well, so not quite there yet. But on the wing or up the middle, I'm hoping Shev hits the 100 point mark this season. It might be a stretch, but it's still my goal. Seems like I've been ghosted on a job. Had a virtual and in person, got an hour long tour after the interview, and was told they'd have a decision no later than Wednesday. That was Wednesday of last week. I've sent two emails since, never got a response. Never heard back from any of the 50-60 applications I sent out internationally, either. As someone with 15 years of experience, I was hoping applying for jobs that want 5-7 years would make me a candidate, but apparently not. Maybe I really should start my own business.

1 - We are looking like we shouldn't miss a beat from our run last year 2 - 47, because it was always my favorite number. Might have to change it now, though. 3 - The first two things I think of are Enemy of the State and Chevy Chase in Fletch Lives where he says in a garbled voice, "Gene Hackman kick your ass!" The Firm was good too, but I haven't seen it since 96. 4 - Reduce the player store costs too, guys 5 - Machinehead is such a good hockey song....but I'll go with something else. "TURBO KILLER" by Carpenter Brut. Team hits the ice at the 39 second mark. 6 - Lasagna, marinara, mozzarella. (Add crumbled tofu and/or sliced eggplant) -
What D-Steve said. I've definitely made it a point with multiple players to push for more than the predetermined salary.
-
If this is what's happening, the player store purchases should decrease in price
-
What kind of horsepower does that have?

If you've been reading and keeping up with my commentaries here, you'll know that there's been a lot of uncertainty for me, as a human. Searching for jobs, starting therapy largely due to work-related stress, trying to be a good dad, working on the legit final draft of my debut novel, and continuing to grow my digital presence on YouTube is a lot to juggle. I'm at the point in my life where I'm thinking about selling a bunch of things I've collected over the years, from my Dreamcast collection to Magic and Pokémon cards. The idea of turning things I never or rarely use into 5 to 10 thousand dollars could help in terms of taking a step down from my current situation [and pay]. It makes me sad, but ultimately those things are also hollow attachments. I know I talked a lot about real life, but let's be honest: it's the weird part of the VHL offseason where most of us are just mentally kicking a rock down an empty sidewalk, waiting for something to happen. A handful of teams have been exceptionally busy in the trade market, with teams like Malmo making 7 trades in the last week. Actually, focusing on Malmo for a second, they have decent depth, but no star players, and only a single pick, the first overall selection in this upcoming Draft. It's curious to see, and I wonder what the master plan might be for the Nighthawks. Looking at the first round picks, the D.C. Dragons have 3 first rounders, and the Warsaw Predators have a staggering 4, meaning that a quarter of the first round picks will be heading to Poland.

My wife crazy. But it's mutual, so I guess that works? Frank stealing my joke. Bah. I have a 2019 Honda Fit. I like it except for the latch on the hatch rusts really easily based on conversations with other Fit owners and my personal experience. Pain in the ass to open and close it because of rust.

The smokey effect reminds me of the cover of Metallica's Load album, reportedly a mix of pig's blood and spit, IIRC.
