Fun Trivia Questions You Might Actually Know the Answers To

I don't actually need a .com article for this week, but I'd like to write one anyway because I had this idea and I don't need a media spot claim or anything. 

 

Trivia questions almost always require some research, as they should to some extent--the purpose, after all, is to make people explore our league's historical archives and discover things they didn't know before. But where's the actual "trivia" part of that? A good episode of Jeopardy!  or a trivia night at a bar isn't something that involves research--it involves knowing things. That's where this comes in--I've decided to make a VHL trivia quiz made entirely up of questions I know the answers to off the top of my head. I'm either able to write the question and answer from memory, or I'm able to think of something I have a good general idea about and frame the question in such a way that I wouldn't have to look up the topic to answer it.

 

I'll give you guys a fair warning--I only joined in S65 so there's a bit of recency bias. However, there should be some level of history involved here.

 

Since I've stated the purpose of this quiz, I trust that you will follow it. I have only one rule: no looking up the answers! I made this without doing it; now it's your job to complete it the same way.

I should have actually known the answer to #6 but the wording was weird and threw me off, oh well. I also don’t recall there being a Buffalo team so #10 threw me for a second but I know for a fact there’s never been Detroit. Also the amount #1 is throwing people, smh, clearly I need to brag about it more. These youngin’s don’t know.
