Malmo 1st in the league, some cool stats, and rambling.

Recommended Posts

Intro

        It has been a great push from Malmo especially in recent games, as they've gone 9-1 in their last 10 games. coincidentally, about 10 games ago is when Malmo made a big move, trading a 1st round pick as well as 2 seconds to get Malmo's new 'number 1' D man, Scotty Kaberle. Many of the players around the dressing room think Kaberle is one of the main reason's they've been able to stay hot for pretty long now. "I think before our defense was perceived as a bit weaker, but Kaberle has come in and has been an absolute rock for us, while helping out with offense as well." Said Telker.  The vibe around the dressing room has been very enthusiastic. Malmo sit on top of the league with a record of 23-9-0. They have not only the best goal differential with a +45 over 32 games, but they also have the most goals for then any other team in the league with 142 goals so far, which means the offense for Malmo has been firing on all cylinders.

Forwards On Fire

       Gunnar Odinsson has been the main story so far not only in Malmo, but the entire league. He leads everyone in scoring with 66 points in just 32 games. Odinsson also leads the league in shots and in plus/minus as well. 3 of Malmo's forwards sit in the top 10 for scoring. They are Odinsson, Telker, and Sosa. 5 of Malmo's forwards are firing out points at more then a point per game pace, they are Deathwalker, Muffbeav, and the other 3 forwards previously mentioned. While centreman Dayne may not be getting the offense he enjoyed in the previous 2 seasons, He still has 19 points in 32 games, which is great production for a now second line centreman late in his career. In other articles before this, I talked about how Malmo's offense had a really good base, but was just missing a piece or two to really make that push to the next level. Now, I wouldn't do a thing with the current forward core. obviously players come and go when/if they have to, but in terms of huge moves and deals for forwards in the future, I don't expect too many.

Defense Gets A Boost

       With the addition of Kaberle like I previously talked about, it undeniably makes Malmo's defense much better. Kaberle leads the Defense corps in terms of points per game so far, with 14 points in his first 10 appearances as a Nighthawk. Wu and Sova each has a respectable 23 points each. Sova is on pass for a tad over 50 points, which would be a nice little step up from his 40 point rookie season. Kamenov is right behind that pair of D man with 22 points in what will be his final season in the league. Ranogajec is having a nice little rookie season breakout from the backend, with 14 points in just 32 games.

Well besides this whole sentence, and anything after, this article is 500 words on the dot.

Were having as great season Nighthawks, lets keep going!!!!!:mal:💪:mal:💪

@Telkster

Great spot. I enjoy the length; it's not too long to drag out and has a good flow to it. Constructively, I would say just add in a title image and you'll be good to go. The headings were fine; nice and clear. The only other thing I would say was lacking would be some colour. I usually just put any quotes in a different colour, but it honestly doesn't detract from the content, which was great. 9/10!
