Berocka 2,263
Here we see the 1-12 Mississauga Hounds led by @Daniel Janser up against the 3-9 Halifax 21st who is led by @samx. These are both teams that I have GM'd in the past. The bookies had the Halifax as 1.71 favourites going into the match with the Houds paying 2.05. Joachim Bryngelson @tcookie started the game off with minor penalty for Goalie Interference after a tough battle in front of the net. The Hounds would not successfully convert the power play to a goal. The same thing was repeated when @Yahtzee's player would take a Hooking Penalty. The Hounds would finally strike first half way through the 1st period with a goal from @Henrik Johansson. The Hounds would enter the 1st break up 1-0 with a 12-2 shot lead over the 21st. The second period saw 4 minor penalties but no goals so the hounds enter the third period up 1-0 with a lead in shots of 20 to 12. Halifax would not take this lead lying down though. They came out strong in the third and busted two goals past Wiley Blanchette @Wiley late in the third to clinch the win. The goals were scored by Jack Riley @Jack Riley & Cooper Skambraks @CSkams15. Congratulations to the 21st Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/116141-games-58-68/#findComment-908997 Share on other sites
BOOM 8,846
Can I use Sportsbet to gamble on these? I need to make back the money I lost on the Danish Basketball League. jacobcarson877 2,578
Game 63 Review This 7-5 Thriller certainly provided something for everyone involved. Philadelphia continues to dominate, getting another tally in the wins column. Miami continues to get high octane offence from their stars. Molotov was the one to watch this game as he scores another hat trick to take the league lead and continues to stretch his lead in the points department. His supporting cast all pitched in enough to support this endeavour. Dokis, hot in pursuit of the scoring title put up a cool 3 points in a rather balanced Reapers offensive effort. The Reapers should be happy to see all of their lines rolling as well as they did in this game. jacobcarson877 2,578
Game 65 Review This game was a goalie duel all the way through to the shootout. Two total goals on 52 total shots is very impressive. Despite Miami being known for their offensive star power, this game was truly controlled by meticulous defence and incredible goaltending. This was a rather well disciplined game and both teams walked away with a perfect Penalty Killing performance. It was Hasbulla Magomedov who managed to bring Mexico City the win on the scoresheet, but it was absolutely Brandt Fuhr and Jay Saucey’s game to watch, with Fuhr just getting the edge. badcolethetitan 943
Game 65 Review: The 65th game of the season between the Miami Marauders and the Mexico City Kings was a goalie duel. Brandt Fuhr for the Mexico City Kings and Jay Saucey for the Miami Marauders stood on the head for their teams, resulting in a low scoring game. In the first period, the Marauders came out flying, but unfortunately were not able to find a goal, outshooting the Kings 13-8. In the second period, Hasbulla Magomedov found his second of the season, assisted by Calen McKay and broke the tie putting the Kings in the lead. This wouldn't be the last of the Marauders though, as in the third period Tyler Smith Jr found his eighth of the season, assisted by Igor Molotov, and Nicholas Blue. At the end of regulation, neither goalie was looking like they would be losing this one and we headed to extra time. No goals were scored in overtime, and we headed to the shootout. Mexico City Kings very own Matt Rooster scored the first goal for the Kings on their first shot, but Charles Williams the hero extended the shootout for the Marauders. It took four rounds, but in the fourth round Hasbulla Magomedov ended up winning the game for the Kings and giving them a 2-1 victory in the shootout. badcolethetitan 943
Game 68 Review: Alright, I just want to say I had to do this for Sam. The Halifax 21st took on the Titan's Houston Bulls in the 68th match of the season. Halifax coming in was for sure seen as the underdogs, but their goalie had other plans. Houston scored early on, with Scotty Sundin scoring his 13th of the season, assisted by AirRig GoodBrandSun and Hammar Voss. Just a couple minutes later, Drew Essen found the back of the net, assisted by Sam Azjha and Cooper Skambraks to tie up the game heading into the second. It was all Halifax in the second, with Doug Matchett and Barry Bigman scoring to put the 21st up 3-1 heading into the third, despite getting outshot 32-16 in the game so far. Heading into the third, the 21st found another goal, coming from Sam Azjha to put them up 4-1. The Bulls however had other plays, where they were able to find two goals from AirRig GoodBrandSun and Ayomide Ayodele, but unfortunately they could not find a win. I want to give a special shoutout to Hunter Blaisdell, the backup for Halifax who went 48/51 and absolutely carried Halifax in this 4-3 win over the Houston Bulls in regulation.
