I’m gonna come out here and say it. I guarantee that your boy Yaroslav Bogatyrev, aka The Big Boga, aka The People's Champion, aka Pretty Boy Yaro, aka OOGA BOGA, aka your mom's favourite hockey player,  is going to win the Dustin Funk Trophy in S87 for most improved player. As predictions open, I really recommend that you consider including me as your selection for this award, as I love the VHL community and I want to help you ensure that you get 1 extra TPE that you can throw into poise or leadership or something like that.

But you’re right to have questions as to how I know this is going to happen? Let me run that down for you.

    1. Boga is already elite

Okay, I know what you’re thinking here. “lol crappy Boga only managed 31 points last season”.

But here’s where you’re wrong. I wasn’t focused on updating my scoring attributes last season. Because I’m a “good team guy”, I got up other attributes such as defence. As a result, Boga is already a DEFENSIVE FORCE. There’s a reason why Seattle had the second best defence in the VHL last season. We ate pucks. We kept the puck out of the net. Sure, we couldn’t score. But the fact that the VHL seriously underestimates defensive play is a narrative that needs to be thrown out.

      2. Boga gets sh*t done

There have been a lot of changes to the Seattle roster over the offseason. I’m not going to name names because I’m not a hater (take note @Spartan , @Arce). However, Boga was central to these moves taking place. Basically, I’m a top line talent. And as a result, I’m off the second line this season and onto the first. The management knows that I’m not going to accept another season on the second line, and I’m so valuable that when I say something, it gets done. Playing on the first line will mean that I have to carry @Hoganand his terrible player, that’s true, but at the end of the day, Boga is here and is good enough to get a point-per-game season. That should be more than enough to win the Dustin Funk.

      3. It’s not easy being me

I think the VHL needs to pay greater attention to the everyday hate that I face on Discord. Everyone wants to take shots at Bojo. Whether it be based on my nationality, or their ignorance to understand the fantastic content I provide and the facts that I spit. With this article, I want to raise awareness of the issues that I face at the hands of the VHL community, and that I’m able to come through this adversity without being a hater myself. I’m a model of what it takes to rise and grind and have that mentality that leads to success. I’m a damned winner. I’m super proud of my VHLM and WJC victories with Jan Hlozek. I got medals made and they’re currently on my mantlepiece. Bojo is a winner, and when I want something, I will win it. Now I want to win the Dustin Funk. There’s no chance of winning the Continental Cup because the Seattle Bears aren’t anywhere near good enough to win it, but whatever.

Should just rename it to the Big Boga award since they're a lock for it every season at this point

I'm going to keep on improving to become a 300 point player

That's a pretty mid career total though
