Coming off their third Renaissance Cup in the past 4 seasons the Oslo Storm are wrapping up one of their strongest off seasons in recent memory . They look to be poised to be competitive yet again in Season 89 . Let’s take a look at what their lineup will look like and what their strengths will be coming into this next season.

As always well start with the forward core , this season they have a very strong looking group with a good mix of Veterans and Rookies looking to make an impact !

Timothy Swearingen ( @Timmy30 )

Swearingen comes to Oslo via free agency after a successful rookie season in Stockholm .  Joining the Veteran group of this team Swearingen will look to provide offence up front and some solid defensive zone contributions aswell .

Jim Benning Jr ( @Jim Benning )

Benning joins Oslo as a rookie FA signing and will look to provide some spark and youthful enthusiasm to the group . It will be interesting to see how this rookie progresses as the season goes on !

Zechariah Leferve ( @Zechariah )

Another rookie from Oslo’s S87 draft class looks to make his long awaited VHLE debut with the storm this season, after absolutely lighting up the VHLM with 94 points in his last season. Leferve definitely has potential to translate that success to the E let’s see if he can !

Grizz Tazzo ( @xslapxshotsx )
The rough and tumbled energy winger provided a lot of spark and energy to the Storm last season and will look to do the same this season while trying to improve his offensive numbers ! This could be a breakout season for Tazzo forsure !

Alexander Stroheim ( @Stroheim )

Oslo’s HUGE trade deadline acquisition paid off big in the playoffs last season , leading the storm in playoff scoring . Stroheim will be counted on to lead Oslo’s Forward core and provide offence all season long . Based on his season last year there’s no reason he can’t do that at more !

Breaden Panarella ( @ThatCasual )

Another exciting forward from last seasons team returns to Oslo in S89 Panarella is a small speedy offensive guy that can be counted on in all situations. He shoots the puck like no other . And hits like a freight train look for him to have a productive season !

Keno Akara ( @Keno )

Oslo’s longest tenured player will be relied upon to lead the team night in and night out ! Keno has always been a productive player for the storm . And should be just that again this season.

Noel Roux Jr ( @Da Trifecta )

Another promising rookie forward joining the Storm this season , it will be very interesting to see if he can translate the offensive game he played in the M to the E this coming season !

The Storm have a very good forward group coming into S89 . One thing is forsure they won’t have any issues scoring goals !

Lets take a look at the defence core now !

Admir Bala ( @Tyler)

Returning to Oslo after an outstanding season last year Bala looks to be a lock on the top defensive pairing and will try to top his offensive numbers from last season, while playing defensively stout in his own end.

Roy Krishna ( @aleks )

The long time VHLM defender will look to bring a strong two way game to Oslo in this his rookie season . We’ll see how his game transfers over to the European league.

Winston Dixon Jr ( @Rjdixon01 )

Another returnee from last season Dixon brings a hard hitting 2 way game to the table for Oslo , look for him to be determined to up his scoring on the offensive side of his game this year.

Jack Jeckler ( @Uncommon )

Acquired on Draft day In a blockbuster trade

With Geneva . Jeckler comes to Oslo to solidify his status as a number 1 defenceman in the E this year . He will play in all situations hopefully having a big year for Oslo .

Jarno Lappi  ( @aksuko )

The longtime VHLE Veteran rounds out Oslo’s d core and will bring some much needed experience to the team . Lappi can play anywhere in the lineup and will no doubt be a valued player as this season goes on!

Overall Oslo has a strong d core that’s capable of shutting other teams down while contributing on the offensive side of things aswell !

Goalies this year for the first time in a few seasons Oslo has not 1 but 2 quality Goalies that will be competing with eachother for starts . Nothing better then some healthy competition between teammates!

Olivier Gauthier ( @fonziGG )

Drafted by oslo in S88 Gauthier makes his long awaited debut for the storm , he’s proven to be a quality clutch Goalie capable of outright stealing games for his team . It’ll be interesting to see how he does in his first season in Europe.

Ross Glagau ( @Zetterberg )

The second piece coming back to Oslo in the aforementioned draft day blockbuster Glagua will also be making his VHLE debut this season to round out Oslo’s exciting goalie tandem !

Overall this Oslo team has no real weaknesses that stick out . They can beat you defensively, offensively, or they have 2 goalies that can steal games by themselves. Definitely on the right track to repeating as Renaissance Champs in S89
