The VHLM playoffs are soon arriving as the trade deadline has passed. Here is an outlook for each team that is in a playoff position right now in standings order.

1. Houston: The top team in the league and are definitely the favorites to win the cup. Acquiring Gingy @MexicanCow123, Dog Jagr @koty_k, and Cardinal Copia @Beketov has been a big plus so far and each of those players should make a big impact come playoff time. @SMYLS4 has his team looking good entering the playoffs.

2. Philadelphia: The top team in the east also made a couple of moves at the deadline acquiring Danny Ross @Spartakiller2 and goalie Tony Bob @Baby Boomer. Philadelphia has been led by Alto Red @alto_red who has 90 points as of the time of this writing.

3. Halifax: The team who thought they were destined to win it all last year will have a tough path to a chip. With the likely road of Mississauga, Philadelphia, and Houston, the 21st will have to have an historic run to win and they are a team who can do it. However, they didn't make one trade at the deadline and might have a lack of star power. Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl leads the team with 68 points.

4. Mexico City: The kings gained winger Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9 at the deadline as their lone move. They will be favored in round one but would have a tough matchup in round two if they make it against Houston assuming Houston wins. Going into the playoffs goaltender Pepe Silva @STZ can steal them a few games for sure.

5. Mississauga: The Hounds acquired Captain Nugget Jr. @Captain nugget and he has made an immediate impact. Many eyes will be on the Mississauga-Halifax series as it will probably be the most competitive of the first round. Forwards Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone, David VanHousen @David VanHousen, and Jay Sikes @JaySmacksss will be essential to the Hounds success in the playoffs.

6. Saskatoon: Saskatoon were sellers at the deadline as they traded Captain Nugget Jr. and Tony Bob and will likely be taken out in the first round or two although they still have a superstar and a league leading goal scorer in CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx.

7. Las Vegas: After winning the cup last year, @sadie has the Aces in line for another playoff spot but don't expect too much from them against Houston. But we will get a lot of boings in the last 12 games of the playoffs. And they can win the inaugural "Cup of Milk Cup" if they beat Mississauga in a few days in the "Battle For The Milk" rivalry. :(

8. Ottawa: Here is your participation trophy for the playoffs Ottawa! Ottawa will have a difficult matchup in round one against Philadelphia.
