It's common for repeat cup winners to have some of the same core players stick around but not when they're 11 seasons apart. Despite a completely different roster and GM to the S87 cup winners, Calgary in S98 managed to bring back many of the same members who won their last Continental Cup.
 

@Phil – A Calgary lifer with Phil Strasmore, he's come back with Sakic and has won the cup with Wranglers again.
 

@Doomsday – The final piece of the puzzle in S87 when Oskar Lindbergh upgraded goaltending, this time it was YaBoi Oven completing Calgary's defence.
 

@leandrofg  / @Ricer13 – a slight cheat but Leandro was a player in S87 and now a GM while Ricer has gone from GM to starting goaltender and of course now back to GM immediately after.
 

@Rhynex Entertainment  – an underrated roster player on both editions now, with AirRigGoodbranSun being a key defenceman in S87 and Miner vHLer now providing secondary scoring in S98.
 

@RileyL – and finally, even more underrated was the rookie Larry Abass Jr back in S87 who has now returned as the suitably named Boris Bone-Breaker to help Calgary crush their opponents, and ensuring 6 members of the team repeat their success from 11 seasons ago.

You forgot to mention Miner vHLer bringing that 99 leadership
