Mortdecai was still weird pale Johnny Depp. I'll give you Public Enemies and The Tourist, but those just weren't very good movies in the first place. All I remember about Public Enemies is that I hated the way it was shot, and The Tourist honestly put me to sleep. I did appreciate seeing Depp acting normal though. I did appreciate seeing Depp acting normal though. Both films have to be appreciated for both the point of view and pace they were shot it. A lot of people hated The Tourist because it was slower than usually Depp movies. You can't look at movies that way. You have to be able to distinguish plots against plots, not actor vs. same actor.
