Molholt 2,185
One hurrah for A.C. Savage. While technically a "last" hurrah, when you haven't ever had one, it doesn't really constitute the extra verbiage. As alluded to and all but promised leading up to the draft, Savage will retire from the VHL this season, cutting short a disappointing career that no one will miss. While I've already made it clear before, I'll reiterate that it isn't a reflection on Seattle (or whoever would've drafted me), but is instead a reflection on my own desires and shortcomings with Savage's development. In fact, while I typically butt heads with some of the members on Seattle, I've enjoyed my time here thus far. Shoutout to Phil, who has changed the locker room dynamic completely and has been a real joy to be on a team with. Phil might be the best captain I've played with, and Jarkko spent the majority of his career with Thomas Landry. Mostly, I'm just ready to get back into the swing of things. I dropped the ball here, what with a new job, big move, etc., all coming at the same time. Had I just stuck with it, like most of these things, it pretty much goes back to normal. I have plenty of time and should've powered through those couples of weeks where I got really busy and was too bored of the VHLM to stay active. I don't know what my next player will be, I just know that I intend to have a legitimate player for once. I had a decent enough role player, and now an absolute scrub, so I'd say it is about time to show some dedication here. We'll see, I guess. My parting "gift" if you wanna call it that, is building in a way that hopefully can maximize my service to the Bears and help out the top notch scorers that we have. I'll be passing like a fool this season. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't - but I bet I'll get more assists this year than I had fights last year. CowboyinAmerica 2,911
Glad to see you'll be recreating. Also, calling it now: First game, no assists, one fight (that is naturally a loss with no fighting skill) Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/19550-one-hurrah/#findComment-210978 Share on other sites

Clearly, it was Phil's role as alternate captain which made him excel - now the power will get to him this season. Kesler 1,514
I actually laughed at how many penalty minutes you had last season when doing your player card. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/19550-one-hurrah/#findComment-211003 Share on other sites

I laugh at the fact that someone had to do a player card for Savage. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/19550-one-hurrah/#findComment-211007 Share on other sites
Phil 5,129
I'd yell at you through internet-scream if you weren't re-creating. Thanks for not letting me lose my voice ... and for the touching words. I do appreciate them.
