Toast 887
Screw the trade deadline, the off-season gives us more than enough to be excited about when it comes to trades! You all know well enough what happened during the off-season transactions. Stockholm turned themselves into strong contenders to win it all after just one trade, and teams like New York and Helsinki made it so their rebuilds will be lightning speed. Every team in the league made some sort of a move in efforts to advance their interests, and we're seeing the results of these moves now. We are about 1/8 of the way through the season now with 11 games come and gone, giving us more of a taste of what these deals gave us. While for some moves we won't know the winners until draft picks turn out and prospects develop, we at least have a little bit of an idea. So for the Power Poll this time around, we're asking you all which team had the best off-season additions through the trades? Was it Toronto bringing in league scoring leader Jackson Miller? Was it Stockholm bringing it a core of former Americans who have been prominent for many seasons? Or was it a team looking to shorten their rebuild time? Regardless of what you think, make sure to vote and comment! Best comments get into the Mag. Admin Victor 10,943 Posted May 4, 2015 Admin Share Posted May 4, 2015 It was definitely New York for me before Helsinki had their firesale. This set up what should be a nice arms race in 3-4 seasons' time. No mention! What is this tom foolery? he's probably waiting to explode in the actual mag article as part of the Mason Richardson Special Edition. CowboyinAmerica 2,889
Glad to see the two winning are the two I was deciding between. Thought Helsinki got a hell of a return for a few players, and they didn't even sell everybody off. They're reloading, not rebuilding, pending the goalie situation. And while most of the contenders had to pay a steep price for talent, Stockholm giving up first overall, two picks in the 7-11 range, a depth forward (especially with Karnage moving) and their backup goalie for three highly-prized pieces is a hell of a deal.
