Will the S44 Stockholm be better than the previous team ?

After their short playoff run, Stockholm is looking to do better next season. Will they achieve it ? Well, after the recent trade announced earlier this week,  VHL's analysts weren't so sure about that. In a controversial trade, captain Jack Kowalski and the young winger Teuvo Ruutu were traded to Toronto for a 3rd round pick in S45. However, the GM Benoit Prévost is pretty confident for next season.

"I would have loved to keep those guys in my team, but like every team, I need to build the team around a very strict salary cap. To move forward, those types of trade needs to happen. It's very difficult, but it's a business and I have to keep my main focus, which is to create a winning dynasty."

Speaking of young talents, we asked the GM his plan for the draft.

"I traded my first round pick last season to acquire pieces that helped and will help my team in the future. We always want to acquire young talents, but this might not be our year form Stockholm."

Still holding their S45 first, a rare one considering that 2 teams hold 60% of the first rounders (NYA and HEL), will have a nice value for the Vikings and they are expected to keep it until the end. The summer training camp is on for many teams already and veteran Tom Slaughter, along with already many teammates showed up for the summer camp, this is very encouraging.

"Yes, Tom Slaughter, Lord Karnage, Severin Von Karma, Jody 3 Moons and Lloyd Light started their training. The team is still growing and I'm looking forward for young talents like Francis York Morgan, Prince Gigga-Bijou and Blake Campbell to start their training."

The team still has some cap space for next season and they are expected to fill that gap during the season. The EU conference will be a long battle again and they hope to win the conference title again. Finally, will the S44 Vikings be better than S43 ? Only the future will tell.
