In addition to winning the title of Most Random VHL Champion Ever, the Seattle Bears made history in Season 43 by having a properly assembled VHL roster of 6 forwards, 4 defencemen, and 1 goaltender.

Yes, not only did the Bears have the full two-line roster and a goalie (and of course the magnificent SEA G), but they also had 2 centers, 2 left wingers, and 2 right wingers. Perfection! The VHL's OCD department has already emailed its thanks to the rightful GM Tyler Barabash.

More often than not, championship-winning (and otherwise) teams in the VHL have an unbalanced selection of forwards, featuring three centers or one center or more left wingers than right wingers. It forces players to play out of their natural position, creating psychological pressure and significant post-retirement issues, including depression, alcoholism, and recreation. This is without mentioning the common recent practice of icing a roster without the full complement of defencemen or forwards or, in extreme cases, both. I'm looking at you, S25, S31, and S38 Davos. Fucking pricks.

The last team to pass the VHL's rigorous autistic criteria was the S23 Calgary Wranglers roster, fitting since that team was known to take the same steroids as its Seattle successor 20 seasons later. May this be the start of a new streak, for the benefit of us all.
