Say, a TPE bonus every season for submitting x number of point tasks. @Draper @Higgins @Victor @sterling @JardyB10 That might be a good idea in general. I dunno, I'm probably not the best person to ask this because I find it kind of hard to sympathize. I was a first gen not long ago compared to the rest of you antique admins, and I can't say I ever found it overly challenging or intimidating. I never found welfare to be particularly discouraging either but I can see why people do. And even since then, it's become easier - no more grades, auto-6 for PT, 5 uncapped for completing a new member survey, trivia for capped tpe, etc. But I am 1 in a million, after all. I think a better solution would be something that rewards everyone who is consistent rather than just first-gens. I think that's what Jardy meant too maybe? This two-players shit would really give members who do PT's an advantage over the welfarer's though, if it happened. FacePuncher 1,343
when I say difficult I didn't really mean the VHL makes it hard, that's not the case, it's mostly just me coming home from college and now working full time, so it's hard to find time to do PTs. i do like the new announcement. I think it's nice. Fan 590s aren't the best it seems, but it's better than just posting in a thread and getting almost as much TPE as welfare. im also just not sure about the TPE requirement for the welfare. 400 TPE just seems really easy. Maybe I'm just like draper and are one of a kind but like I said I've had 2 1/2 seasons and are already at 322 TPE, so it would seem like a halfway active player could easily hit 400 TPE about midway through his VHL career Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/30628-claimedthe-phil-knight-show-1-reviewed/page/2/#findComment-342625 Share on other sites
DollarAndADream 3,357
For what it's worth, I never found starting out in the VHL intimidating or difficult either. I mean, it wasn't entirely fun. When I joined the site I was brought to a pretty inactive Ottawa Lynx team and it wasn't too fun. I just kept my activity going, knowing that the VHL would be worth the wait. My second season in the VHLM was with an active Turku Outlaws squad, with a good group of players, including a super active Vojtek Svoboda. He was one of a kind during that time as well, so that made that Outlaws team pretty awesome. My first player wasn't some guy who carried a team, but he was a multiple time All-Star, rookie trophy winner, and leadership winner. I had good times with him.
