I just don't want to see me lose waiver priority because of this. STZ 5,359 Posted December 29, 2013 Author Share Posted December 29, 2013 No need, it's right in the rulebook... - If two or more teams are bidding on a inactive VHLM Free agent, the team with the earliest and highest bid will sign the FA. In order to beat a max bid, a team must max bid and then activate their priority. Please note that the initial team that put in the max bid does not need to activate priority and can choose whether or not he/she choose to match the priority with their own. They don't have to use priority if no one else offers the max and uses priority. Within 24 hours, Bern DID offer the max and use priority. Depending on the priority list, Bern either gets him... or they get him anyway since it's been 24 hours since they used priority and so it has to be assumed Bratislava doesn't want to use priority.
