Banackock 8,143
Wolf scoring 1 of his 4 on the season Sven Wolf entered Season 49 as a free agent and elected to sign with the Brampton Blades (who arguably were one of the stronger teams and led by excellent management in @Smarch). During that season, Wolf showed that his skill was just as high as his potential and night in - night out showed the fans that he can easily be one of the best players on the ice for the organization. The young, highly scouted VHL prospect made it his mission to shape his game into an elite play maker. To be the guy on the other end of the goal and there was two reasons for that. "Almost every goal needs an assist, so I'd love to be that guy that makes it happen", the young center stated. "Of course, who wouldn't love to put the puck in the net, but how bad ass is it to also help create the magic and then watch it happen". Wolf played his heart out during the season. If he wasn't on the ice, he was going for a run or in the gym training to develop his skills and make him stronger in every area. As a result, Wolf managed to throw up some pretty impressive numbers throughout the year - only slightly trailing top team leaders Axelsson and Maxwell. On the year, Sven managed to score 18 goals and help on 65 for a total of 83 points in 72 games. Not too fucking bad for a newer rookie to the league at the time. As the season dwindled down, playoffs came to an end, the training still continued as he headed into the off-season. While there was still much excitement, Wolf knew where he was ending up. The Seattle Bears were lucky enough to pick up quite a few great players during the draft and to top of the list, Sven Wolf sat. His jersey's were flying off the shelf, fans were excited and the atmosphere was buzzing in Seattle. A young team missing a center now has a young kid who has the potential to become an elite force in the face off circle and throughout the VHL. However, during the season, the buzzed started to die down. While he was great for a rookie in the face off area of the game, his offensive skills lacked and while lots were surprised, anyone who knew anything sort of expected it. The kid was young, much less developed than his teammates and on the first line facing off against players with 300-700 more TPE than him. It's safe to say that the numbers he posted, we're nothing short of good. With 4 goals, 27 assists and 31 points in 72 games, Wolf managed to still make a slight impression with fans and show them that he can only improve. Wolf to Podarok for the nice backhander against Quebec Meute. As stated prior, he's focused his attention on becoming a play making forward in the VHL and since slightly prior to the end of the regular season, he's placed all of his attention in that area. Making great strides, every training session was dedicated to passing and making him stronger in that area. As of today, his passing sits at 92 overall and we think this is going to have a great affect on him next season. While it may be easy to say what he's going to train next, we can't be too sure. How the kid is going to do next season, is about the same. Could go either way depending on how hard he continues to push and what the Bears can do this off-season. However, we did manage to speak to him about these 2 things and this is what he quickly had to say for us. "For training purposes, I'm happy with how my passing game has progressed and now I'm going to train my game to compliment what I've worked so hard on lately. I want to become stronger. I don't want to lose the puck or be so easily hit. I want to focus on strength and of course, puck handling and skating. As for next season, I'm not too focused on that. I'm focused on each training season and how I can improve so that next season I'm a strong factor. I guess If I had to put a number on it.. I'm shooting for a point per game!"
