gregreg 930 Posted November 24, 2016 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Another off-season and another swing and miss for the Cologne Express during the free agent period. The Express came into the off-season in no mans land like most of the teams in the EU conference and so GM Greg Harbinson took a shot at being the team to beat in the conference. Unfortunately the group of free agents are a bunch of fucking idiots and would rather lose in the first round then have a shot at a cup. Not getting free agents isn't new to the Express who have had trouble getting players during their 20+ seasons in the VHL. Even their GM has had trouble getting free agents, only signing two big time players in his GM career. Then you see teams like Calgary and you wonder why your team can't do the same. Sadly the Express will have to wait another season to see if they can get a free agent while they sleep into the playoffs once again.
