11.  HC DAVOS DYNAMO:  Defenseman Luca Volkov @Kyle

Davos selects a player whose agency has had much past success with the franchise in the hopes that he can help recreate that past success

 

12.  CALGARY WRANGLERS (from Toronto via New York via Cologne): Right Wing Slava Aleksei@Tyler

The rebuilding Wranglers could select center Rask Rowe here, but instead they go with the player whose agency has had past success in the league.

13.  CALGARY WRANGLERS (from Riga): Defenseman Jon Snow @ChiefNoka4

Calgary once again passes on Rask Rowe in order to select a player who will fill a positional void in the future. Snow is a first generation player with a lot of promise.

14.  COLOGNE EXPRESS (from Calgary via Helsinki): Center Rask Rowe @Rowe89

The Express finally draft the eager Rowe, who is the BPA at this point. He will have time to develop in the Cologne system.

15.  RIGA REIGN (from Quebec): Goaltender Vernon von Axelberry @BobertZ

The Reign are ecstatic that a capable goalie falls to them at the 15th overall pick, as this could possibly solve their problem of not having a goalie of the future in the pipeline.

16.  COLOGNE EXPRESS: Right-Wing Riley Harper@Daniel

The slim pickings begin here, as Harper has not practiced in awhile, but his agency has made successful players in past, so Cologne hopes that he can return and do that again.

17.  HELSINKI TITANS: Right-Wing Harambe@Seth

Harambe was a passenger for most of the Lynx's recent cup victory, so the Titans hope that that will inspire him to return to the practice facility.

18.  RIGA REIGN (from Seattle via Cologne): Defenseman Jean-Claude Girard@Cope

Girard hasn't been seen practicing since February, and the Reign pick him here with a big hope that he can return.

19.  TORONTO LEGION (from Stockholm): Right-Wing Evgeni Turakov@Wilson

With their 2nd pick of the draft, the Legion take a flyer on Turakov, whose agency has made some average VHL-quality players in the past.
