Did you just ask if you could claim 1 point for keeping yourself active?

Technically, yes... I did draft myself though, and if anything, give Kachur the point because he picked me up early.

 

And I did read the original post, so since he didn't hit 50 TPE with us, even though we drafted him, we don't get the point but the team we traded him to does? I'm honestly asking so I can figure out the rules going forward.

No you don't get a point for keeping yourself active. The team that first drafts or picks the member up on waivers gets the 1 tpe.

 

Assistant General Managers don't apply to this rule tho 

He was picked up on waivers last season when I was the GM of the Wild.

Correct.

 

You have to be the original gm of theirs in order to get the 1 tpe. So either you claimed them on waivers and they earned 50 tpe, or you drafted them and they were not on a team the previous season
