Kyle 667 Posted July 24, 2017 Share Posted July 24, 2017 Volkov Nears End of Contract With Calgary Despite just making the Calgary Wranglers at the end of this season after a call up from the Las Vegas Aces, Wranglers defenseman Luca Volkov is entering his final season with the club. Calgary has trusted the process for long enough and now needs to make the jump into being contenders with several teams looking to rebuild and start over once again. The question is, if Calgary is unable to jump into the fold of competitive teams; will Volkov re-sign with the club that has been more than patient with his development? Going forward the Wranglers expect Felix Savard and Luca Volkov to be their top pairing, but if Volkov decides he wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Savard he could easily walk at the end of Season 56 and have a ton of suitors looking for his talents.
