Solas Agency Eyeing S58 Draft For Next Player?

The Solas Agency has been more successful as of late in the VHL.  Headed up by retired players Turd Ferguson and Willem Janssen, the agency has grown to represent multiple different players and at present has been finding success representing Theo Axelsson of the Helsinki Titans and Lukas Müller of the Quebec City Meute.  As it stands however, Axelsson is just finishing his seventh season in the league.  Next season will be his last, and it seems that the Solas Agency has been scouting players with a posible aim towards entering them in the Season 58 draft this offseason.  There’s been no reports as to who the player will be, although there are some rumors that the group has been considering a defenseman.

Turd Ferguson, who is in charge of the small group, was noticed by the press at Game 1 of the Helsinki vs. Davos series and asked about his future plans.  “It’s true that we’re looking at players for an upcoming draft,” he said.  “But we haven’t quite decided yet.  We’ve been maybe considering trying to sign a different type of player than our recent clients but nothing’s set in stone yet.  I might be in contact with some VHL and VHLM front offices to see what kind of players they’ll be looking for.  We’ve gone through a long scouting process over the last few seasons just to be prepared ahead of time and have a couple names picked out.  The goal is to represent a superstar player but we’ll just have to wait and see how things turn out.”
