jacobaa19 191
Early life Jacob smith, a boy from a small town in a lesser known province but do you think that hindered this upcoming star? No, no it did not first stepping on to the ice when he was 3 years old while he was on a trip to the local rink with his preschool he took to it instantly when he first found hockey on the television he loved it watching every game his father put on but, when he entered grade 1 his first choice of sport was basketball he had bought shorts and, shoes but only showed up to one practice and refusing to go into the gym,so his father convinced him to try hockey on the way home, the very next day they went out and bought all the hockey gear Jacob needed. His first time playing hockey is not something he remembers but he does remember being one of the fastest skaters there Not much happens from that point on until he reaches his second year of atom when he convinces his parents to let him try out for Atom A. We've had a chat with the coach of that team (whom wishes to remain unnamed) "Hes one of the fastest little skaters I've ever seen, you see pro players skate around a rink I think one day he will be one of the fastest skaters in the VHL." that team came second place in every tournament they played in but as Jacob has stated "its one of the best years of hockey I've ever played" a player who was born a good sport. He'd go on to play competitive hockey until the his senior year of Highschool Later years When he reached Highschool he played his heart out during tryouts successfully landing him a spot on the team his coach saw such talent in him he game him the assistant captaincy. Helping his team to the championship scoring three goals in the gold medal game a hero in school and a star on the ice. He and his partner Travis Conroy were the best two players that school had ever seen. Jacob would be offered the Captaincy in his next year but insisted it be given to Conroy stating "I'm not a leader but Travis, Travis is a natural leader" They would threepeat with Conroy and Jacob leading the team each year but Jacobs senior year it all changed Year off Smith had decided to focus on school his senior year since no scouts seemed to be taking interest in him (somehow). But, halfway through the season the teams chances of even making the playoffs seemed slim so Smith confronted the coach asking if there was ant way he could come back for his final year. So once again him and Conroy lead the team to gold. Both of them going down as the two best players to play for the James M Hill Tommies. Both finishing there highschool careers with a substantial amount of points Jacob Smith : Games played: 300 Goals: 250 Assists: 300 Travis Conroy: Games played: 342 Goals: 298 assists:200 Pregame habits Before writing this we asked Smith about his pregame traditions he simply said "I listen to Mumford and Sons" then walked away We did our research and this band is in the "folk rock" genre probably not something to get pumped up to but if it works for him maybe it will. School life At school he was considered a celebrity living the highschool dream he was a jock he wasn't flunking any courses he even had his dream girl but thats how it looked if you were just looking at him from a distance he was home every night he didnt have hockey studying and doing home work just to keep his grades above and 80% average because he knew if it dropped below that he was done with hockey done with his life. Home life At home when he wasnt studying or doing homework he was either gaming on his Xbox Either Fortnite or the newest hockey game or, he wouldnt even be home instead be at his job a cook at a local restaurant which he got at the age of 13. That just takes us to right now with Smith eagerly waiting for draft day to come and we all hope for good things with this up and coming allstar Edited April 7, 2018 by jacobaa19 Beaviss, Spade18 and STZ 3 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/48247-a-look-into-the-life-of-jacob-smith-worth-7-12/ Share on other sites

DollarAndADream 3,356
@jacobaa19 Per the guidelines, biographies need to be at least 1000 words to be 10 TPE. So, because you're in the 700 word mark, I'll give you 7 TPE for now. You can edit it no problem and make it 1000.
