Senior Admin Will 4,660 Posted May 17, 2018 Senior Admin Share Posted May 17, 2018 Today I've been working on improving security for both the portal and forum by moving from http:// to https://. Using HTTPS is more secure and is required for browsers to mark your site as secure, like we know have: It also, apparently, has a significant effect on search engine results. But mainly it's a requirement for allowing people to log in to the portal with their forum account and that's why I did it. The Portal is also marked with the green secure now. All traffic and posted images are automatically redirected to HTTPS. omgitshim, Spade18 and Beaviss 3 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/49434-security-update/ Share on other sites

Senior Admin Will 4,660 Posted May 18, 2018 Author Senior Admin Share Posted May 18, 2018 21 minutes ago, Lucky 2 Times said: Still tells me "Your connection to this site is not fully secure" On all pages or just specific pages? I know for images like these: that are hosted on imgur rather than the forum itself, I had to manually switch those links to https for it to show secure. So I might have missed some on certain pages. If it's all pages, it's possible your browser has cached old http links so might have to clear your cache. But either way as long as your accessing the site via HTTPS your connection is encrypted and that's all that really matters regardless what the browser shoots off about.
