Nobody said a thing about @DollarAndADream and his both new players. If only one season apart. Otherwise, I'm not seeing any wrong thing here.

14.1 – Eligibility to Create a 2nd Player
A General Manager is eligible to create a 2nd player at any time - however one of those players MUST be locked in as a 'GM Player' as described in Section 14.6 with the manager's respective team. An additional player will be a regular player that is entered into the Entry Draft as usual.

I think the 3 seasons apart thing was only a rule when it was for everyone. I'm pretty sure now that only GMs can do it, you can have them whenever.
