Bayley 419
As a goaltender, I decided to do a little preview of what my path to the league will be. I thought others may find this interesting to see where they may be falling. I hope everyone enjoys. Helsinki Titans Helsinki has (S63) Goaltender Alexander Pepper between the pipes. This guy was picked with the 10th overall pick in the Second Round by the Titans. Pepper currently has 301 TPE and is currently active. This will likely make a goaltender something that the Titans will look away from drafting. They are set between the pipes as Pepper looks to be a fantastic pick and future goaltender for the team. Toronto Legion Toronto has 2 goaltenders on their roster currently in Johnny Havenk Carison and Shawn Brodeur. Brodeur is going to be the stop gap while Carison gets ready to man the pipes in Toronto. Currently, Brodeur has 674 TPE, but has not updated since the beginning of September while Carison has 284 TPE and did update this week. This will make the Legion likely not to pick a goaltender unless they have some doubt that Carison will stay active. Being picked with the 3rd overall pick in the S62 Draft, it is very unlikely that Carison will go inactive. I do not see a goaltender being taken here either. HC Davos Dynamo The Dynamo only have 1 goaltender currently on their roster, that is S61 Goaltender Arvid Aamo. This guy currently has 189 TPE while not updating in some time. Considering that he is their starter, this team is going to need a goalie. They may be licking their chops with the likes of Brick Wahl or Finn Davison among other goalies that will be in this draft. Is that their first need? We shall see, but this is a real shot to be a team needing a goaltender and needing one pretty fast. Quebec City Meute Quebec City has the likes of S60 Goaltender Tristan Iseult in net. They probably will not be looking to make a move for a goaltender. He updated this week as well. When you have a guy such as him, obviously, you do not move on from that. Maybe you could start looking for a future goaltender, but I doubt that this will even be an option for them. Like Helsinki and Toronto, Quebec joins the league of teams not needing a goalie. Riga Reign Riga is another team that will likely be happy where they are with their goaltender. People have compared Finn Davison to Kallis Kriketers, the goalie for this team. He was another goaltender that played for Ottawa. This guy has 379 TPE, so obviously they will not be looking to go elsewhere. Yes, I am aware he is the GM, so obviously they will not need a goalie. Calgary Wranglers I find the Wranglers in such an interesting spot for a goaltender. They took Matt Aloisi in the S62 Draft but really did not turn out to be anything at all. They currently have a stud goaltender that is in his 7th season, is this time that they'd look for a goalie to come in and be the successor to Norris Stopko? Stopko has been a 2.42 GAA all-time goaltender having one of his worst seasons yet this season. Obviously, he is only 4 games in, but it may be time to look for someone to take over? A guy that is off winning the Aidan Shaw Trophy, it is hard to say anything more about this guy. What shoes that the next goalie will have to fill, it will not be easy. They may look to take a goalie, but I have no idea. Seattle Bears Another team that likely will not be taking a goaltender with S61 Goalie, Roger Sterling between the pipes. He has 557 TPE, so obviously nothing imminent for the Bears. They could look for a backup, or someone to come in later, but they have plenty of time to wait for that, Seattle will not go for a goalie, because why would they? New York Americans New York has a goalie that is the GM of the team, I was going to go into more depth, but why would I? We all know that goalies are not going here. oilmandan 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/54459-the-outlook-in-net-12/ Share on other sites
SlapshotWrangler 864
Review: Great formatting and colouring and I like the sub-titles for each part. The font colours are cool, and the logos on each side of the sub-title and it looks cool and organized. Kallis is awesome. The visuals are great and good job on centering the sub-titles. Stoffiday 127
Great article! Davos actually has two goalies in their pipeline. One is Cole Mertz, who is currently away, and me. :D Bayley 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/54459-the-outlook-in-net-12/#findComment-559970 Share on other sites
diamond_ace 3,114
Toronto, in addition to Carison and Brodeur, will have JB Rift. The other Ottawa goalie besides you, he's also Toronto's GM Bayley 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/54459-the-outlook-in-net-12/#findComment-559973 Share on other sites
