The MVP race in the VHLM

From this week's Press Conference, we are getting a lot of looks at who the players and GMs think is deserving of the VHML MVP this season, and there is still no clear favourite. It seems to be a close race between MacKinnon and Dahlberg, and while kinda close but it doesn't look like a real contender, Jesse Wilson, the #1 defenseman in points this season.

With the last games, Dahlberg got the edge over MacKinnon in the points ranking, finally taking the #1 spot. There are still a few games left, but it doesn’t look like MacKinnon will regain the spot. Even though Dahlberg is the better scorer of the two, MacKinnon ability to pass and his vision in the rink seems to be elite already, and as results show, not only has he lead his team to a better position but he also is the league leader in +/-.

Overall, it’s going to be a very close race and Dahlberg is for sure getting picked in the top 3 in the draft, but we feel like MacKinnon has the edge over him here, since the point differential is very similar but MacKinnon has led his team to a better record while having the league’s best +/- in a team that is right now 4^th in the league.
