The Season Sixty-Six VHLM season is finally underway and the Philadelphia Reapers have been playing pretty well so far. The Reapers have played in a league high six games so far this season and have put together a 5-0-1 record in those six games. In a season with high expectations the Reapers are so far looking like the team everyone thought they would be at this point in the season. Today we’ll look at some of the key contributors in the first six games the Reapers have appeared in.

Walter Clements (Season Sixty-Six Draftee - New York Americans):

Clements is a holdover from the Season Sixty-Five Reapers roster, a season where they won a lowly eleven games in that inaugural season. Clements went through the tough times last season, which makes his team leading ten points in six games even sweeter for the young center-man. Clements is playing as the top line center at the beginning of the season, a line that has been responsible for twenty-six points during the first six games. With a lot of season still ahead for the Reapers, fans of the Philadelphia based franchise hope that Clements will continue on his current scoring pace.

Kyle Sabertooth (Season Sixty-Six Draftee - Vancouver Wolves):

Sabertooth joined the Reapers before the beginning of the Season Sixty-Six season as a VHLM free agent, something that doesn’t happen much in the league anymore. Sabertooth wasn’t selected in the VHLM Dispersal Draft due to a technical error regarding his practice hour eligibility, but thankfully the Reapers General Manager made right on others mistakes around the league and grabbed Sabertooth. Sabertooth has been well worth the signing and taking up the only active free agent slot teams in the VHLM are allowed. So far in the six games Sabertooth has appeared in with the Reapers, he has put up four goals and five assists. The scouting report on Sabertooth is that he is billed as a very talented offensive player, something that is clear to those that watch him play his game on a nightly basis. Sabertooth finds himself currently on the top line for the Reapers along with Clements and Bjorn Scoringsonn, something that should help with his offensive production throughout the season as well. Sabertooth and the first line will be heavily relied upon as the season moves on.

Kolur Bjoernsson (Season Sixty-Six Draftee - Helsinki Titans):

What may be the steal of the Season Sixty-Six VHLM Dispersal Draft, Reapers starting goaltender Kolur Bjoernsson was mister irrelevant, selected with the last pick in the draft. Usually when you are selected in the Fifteenth Round in a professional sports draft, you don’t find yourself with a starting position right away. Bjoernsson has been stellar between the pipes for the Reapers in the five games he has started this season. Bjoernsson has won four of the five games he has started while also putting up a .928 save percentage, and a 1.38 goals against average. With two quality goaltenders on the roster Bjoernsson will need to be at his best night and night out to keep his starting spot throughout the season.
