Ritchie's first impressions of the Storm

Raleigh Ritchie made his big announcement over twitter, after whittling down his short list from 10 teams down to 3, basing his judgements from playing time, squad strength and championship potential he finally made the tough choice to join the Minnesota Storm. The GM there was recently voted number 1 in a media article of the best VHLM managers and he gave Ritchie both a sense of confidence and a promise of 1st line playing time for a team that was desperate for forwards to round out the roster. Ritchie has settled in at the Storm and has been seen coming and going from the practice facility getting in hours with the coaching staff. We caught a quik interview with him earlier. 

 

"The team has been so great to me so far, the locker room is really friendly and welcoming, guys like Kevin Foreskin @Esso2264 and Berocka Sundqvist @berocka have been so helpful getting me settled in to my new place and getting into the routine of the team. The Assistant GM @DMaximus also came and said hello along with some compliments on how I handled my Free Agency. It's been a great introduction to the league and I'm keen to get my skates on the ice for the first time as soon as possible."

 

The young winger will likely make his debut in the upcoming pre-season tournament as long as preparations for the tournament in Hawaii go smoothly. There has been some concerns about whether the competing will manage to set itself up in time before the regular season commences.
