After winning a Continental Cup with the Wolves last season, Palo is taking the title defense very seriously in Season Sixty-Eight. Palo has been stellar in the thirty-three games he has suited up in for the Wolves this season, leading the pack with fifty-five points. Palo has put up twenty-four goals and thirty-one assists to get to those fifty-five points. Palo is coming off his first 100 point season last year and looks well on his way to reaching the century mark in points again this year.

Thompson is coming off a great season in Season Sixty-Seven, a season that included a Continental Cup with the Helsinki Titans. Thompson left Finland in free agecny and now finds himself suiting up for the Sweden based Malmo Nighthawks. Thompson enters his final season in the league, and has jumped out the league lead in goals with twenty-six in thirty-three games with the Nighthawks this season. Thompson currently holds the lead over Palo by two goals at this points, but we have a feeling Thompson might not slow down and soon pull away, as he appears to almost do all the scoring this season for the Nighthawks this season. Thompson leads the Nighthawks in goals by twelve, with Matthew Materazo the closest team-mate with fourteen. Thompson has been a one man show for Malmo this season.

:que:Assists: Jagger Philliefan (Vancouver 36A):que:

Philliefan is now playing in his fourth season in the VHL, all with the Wolves since being drafted by the franchise Eleventh Overall back in the Season Sixty-Four VHL Entry Draft. Philliefan has always been a past first defenseman, putting up 171 assists to 23 goals over 249 games so far in his career. This season after thirty-three games Philliefan seems to be well on his way to his best offensive season with six goals and thirty-six assists so far in those thirty-three games. Philliefan signed a three year extension back in Season Sixty-Six, so Wolves fans can look forward to many season of the exciting young American defenseman barring any unforeseen trades.

:mal:Penalty Minutes: Rusty Shackleford (Malmo 99PIM):mal:

The Malamo Nighthawks are in a fight for a playoff position, sitting with forty-five points in thirty-three games. Those forty-five points are three points behind the league leading Helsinki Titans. Another fight going on is that of Shackleford and the sin bin. Shackleford leads the league with ninty-nine penalty minutes in those thirty-three games. A three penalty per game rate is never good for a contending team, but the Nighthawks knew what they were getting when they drafted the blue collar defenseman Seventeenth Overall in Season Sixty-Six. Of those ninty-nine penalty minutes, Shackleford has only one major penalty, which means Shackelford has taken forty-seven minor penalties. With 101 hits on the season, Shackleford needs to just clean up some of those penaties and hell be one hell of a player.

:hel:Wins: Alexander Pepper (Helsinki 22W):hel:

HF1Sp23.png

Peppers has been stellar since entering the league back in Season Sixty-Three with the Titans. Pepper has put up 213 wins, a save percentage of .919, and a goals against average of 2.60 over 364 games. This season Pepper has put up a league leading twenty-two wins in thirty-three games. Pepper has helped the Titans to the forty-eight points they have through the thirty-three games, which is good enough for First Place over Riga by two points. Pepper will be heavily relied upon this season more than likely any other season by the Titans as Pepper has the third most practice hours on the roster as of today.

That is quite incorrect on pretty much all accounts.
