Scrambling for 6 TPE article [1/2]

I guess it happened. A flu really came in. 

 

Not much intro in this one. Also, nothing different. For the last half of the year I'm doing nothing more than just ''scrambling for 500 words for 6 TPE'' media and nothing is going to change now. 

 

- So first of all, why in the blue hell everyone are acting surprised about expansion teams being on top? I mean, I'm the one who is blaming the sim engine all the time on Kallis' inconsistency. But I'm not sure if being shocked by the recent results (Prague in particular) is the right reaction. How many times we already saw this sim engine gassing up mid-tier teams at the start of the season? This definitely isn't the first season the same exact situation is happening. Prague and DC will eventually miss the playoffs (ok DC might, just might have an outside chance, but I don't even think they're better than NY tbh). But I don't think these both teams will fall until the mid-season. 

 

- Riga is 3-5 with a backup goalie. Considering that his attributes are even worse than bot, it's a decent result. I'm sure we're going to turn around soon. It still might be a slow process because more than one reason. First of all, gotta shoot the puck more. Our offense actually is doing fine, with 4 players being over 1 PPG and Tate with 8 points. Just gotta produce more chances imo. Second reason - you all know who. 

 

- Speaking about Tate. That's pretty interesting. I was expecting Hackett to be the scoring leader before the season started. Instead, it's the former first overall pick that is taking the scoring D reigns. He already has 4 powerplay points too. I guess @Tate knew when he was asking me to put him at PP lines in his podcast. While it might be surprising, there is probably one reason why he has more points than Apollo. His gap between passing and scoring is less than Reno so this might do it. 

 

- I brought Shane Mars in. He had a good potential, but Spade had to go inactive. Oh well. Imagine if he was still here and never added a single TPE to passing. Perhaps we would've had the second coming of John Locke. This is the reason why I've decided to ask Eno for claming him and making an immediate trade. I hope he would produce more chance with his full-on-shooting build. Don't think I would give him much playing time cause all of others one are active, but some he's gonna get some PP time. 

 

- Also, Jack Lynch is doing well too. Before making tha trade with Malmo, I saw they put Jack to the OTB. So I figured it out I'll take him and decide what to do. I liked his build so I kept him. I'm just hoping I'm not jynxing anybody in this article. Cause so far he's doing a great job for a player who is not getting full playing time.

Solid read, interesting insight into how the season is playing out so far. I also liked how you mentioned that Jack Lynch is playing, I tend to agree! I think a picture would be nice but I guess you were scrambling to get those 6 TPE lol. Great read!
