Nate Telker is coming back for his second season at the world juniors. This time he will start on the 1st line at center as apposed to the 3rd line last year. Telker is having a somewhat disappointing start to the vhl season with just 8 points in 43 games. He hopes to change around his fortunes and build up his confidence during the tournament. “I wanna use this opportunity to work on my game some more and hopefully lead Canada to gold. It’ll be a challenge, there’s lots of good teams at the tournament but I think we can do well with the team we have”. Telker has been playing wing for most of the season as apposed to his preferred position at center and wants to use the chance to take full advantage to get back in a groove. “I’ve had a disappointing start to the season for the Menace. I want to use this chance to get my game back, but more importantly take Canada as far as we can go, and hopefully that is gold.”
